Academy

The next day, Araki was going to the Academy with Kushina. As they were walking to the Academy, he noticed they were receiving looks from the people around them.

Just after taking a look, they would immediately avert their eyes and whisper something to the person next to them. After that, they would both stare at Kushina as if she was some sort of abomination.

Kushina could feel those gazes drilling into her. She unconsciously slowed down as she didn't want Araki to be the target of those gazes as well.

However, as Araki found out that Kushina was walking far too much behind himself, he immediately stopped before waiting for her to arrive next to him, "What happened, Kushina? Why are you lagging behind by so much?"

"It's… It's nothing." She tried to make a brave face and expression that nothing was wrong. However, Araki could see the fear in those two eyes of her.

He let out a sigh before turning to the people around them, "Oye! What are you all staring at?! Cant you go and do your tasks?!"

The people frowned after hearing him. Most of them turned around and started doing their tasks. Well, it would have been okay if everyone obeyed Araki. There were still some fools who didn't obey, though.

"Senju-sama… Why are you walking with that outsider?!" The person who shouted out was sharply glared by Araki.

"What did you say?!" Being the target of the glare, the person couldn't help but nervously sweat. However, he still mustered up his courage and responded, "Why… Are you walking with that outsider?! She isn't from Konoha!"

"Oh, really? Does it look like I care?" Senju Araki asked in a merciless tone. The man sweated even more as he heard those cold words from the young child of 8-years-old.

However, Araki wasn't finished and continued ahead, "I don't care if Kushina-chan is from Konoha or not. But I can tell you one thing, anyone who has an issue is banished from Konoha. Pack up and leave…"

"What?!" The onlookers couldn't believe what they heard!

"I said, anyone who has an issue with Kushina-chan being here can pack up and leave. Get out before I make you!" His eyes showed off a terrifying intimidating intent.

"You can't do that! My father is a council member of the Konoha. You can't throw me out of Konoha." Someone among them shouted out loudly. He was definitely a stupid one.

"I am one of the only surviving Senju clan members in the world. It was my grandfather and my granduncle who was first two Hokages of Konoha. The Senju Clan does have the authority to throw out the citizens it deems unworthy to be living in Konoha. It is your bad luck that I am the only surviving Senju Clan member in Konoha. Get OUT!" He shouted the last bit of his words with full energy.

The people couldn't help but back away. And it was at that moment, Kushina arrived near Araki and tugged the corner of his sleeves, "Don't worry about this. Let's go to the Academy. We will be late."

Hmph…" He decided to deal with these idiots later. He had been told to not use his power to hurt weak people, but if they did show off their stupidity, there was no choice but to make them understand it!

This time to not separate from Kushina, he held her hand tightly and took her to the Konoha Academy. Surprised when she felt the tightly grasp of his hand, Kushina didn't let go and followed after him.

Soon enough, they entered the Academy.

They were assigned to the class, which had 2 missing students.

Araki stood in front of the class, wholly unaffected how he and Kushina were being stared at. Meanwhile, Kushina was growing more and more nervous from the gazes of kids of her age.

Araki went first and stepped ahead, "I am Senju Araki. Nice to meet you all." He flashed a smile at them all. Around this moment, his vision fell upon a Blonde Boy in the class. Unconsciously, he felt a threat from this boy.

The class was altogether stunned for several seconds. They never imagined that someone from the prestigious Senju Clan was going to be in their class. As long as they could befriend him, they wouldn't have any issues in the future. This was what the children of civilians thought.

Now, it was Kushina's turn. She took a deep breath and tried to follow Araki's example, "I… I am Uzumaki Kushina from Uzushio. I want to become a Konoha ninja as well, dattebane!" She bowed her head a little too hastily and didn't realise when her verbal tic slipped out of her mouth.

The students started laughing at her immediately.

"What a fool!" Someone among the students shouted at Kushina.

"Yeah, an outsider on boot. How could the Hokage let her join the Academy when she is an outsider?"

"Why is someone from Senju Clan with that outsider? Is that how it goes?"

Araki was growing incensed after these children talk. It wasn't these people's fault as they had been raised by their parents with such beliefs. However, he still couldn't believe how stupid they were being.

He was about to move ahead and make an example out of one of them. However, Kushina held his arm and prevented him from making a move. She understood the consequences of such an action.

First of all, Mito would pull him out of the Academy if he did this. Secondly, it didn't hurt her as much as she initially believed. She was relieved to see him standing by her side.

Araki didn't need her to explain the reason why she stopped him. He was smart enough to guess that. However, he didn't need to like the reason.

Grunting with displeasure written on his face, Araki looked around to check which seats were available. He noticed that two seats near Minato were available.

He freed his arm from Kushina's grasp and held her arm instead.

(A/N: Now, that was a 'NO U' moment. xD)

They went on to walk and sat next to Minato. Minato smiled a little as his gaze met with Araki and Kushina.

Unlike those Araki saw in the class, Minato didn't have that look in his eyes which suggested that he looked down on Kushina.

It was why he chose to sit next to him. Kushina continued to look in front and focused on the instructor.

The instructor let out a sigh, not knowing how he should proceed from here. Perhaps he should let the things remain as it is. A little chunin like him shouldn't deal with matters related to the Senju Clan or Uzumaki Clan.
