4 Chapter 3: It’s All a Huge Mess

"D" - It's all a big mess!!!

Dante shouted in frustration at the top of his lungs. If there was something he hated, it was a messy environment, or even worse, a messy education system. Dante had been inside the tower for a few weeks without seeing the sunlight, and if it weren't for his regular baths, his smell would be resembling that of a pile of socks and underwear used by an entire football team. This, of course, if it weren't for his passion for hot springs. Dante began to consider the Slytherin tower bathroom his sacred refuge. His desperation was due to the mess his new home was in. Although the tower was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and hygiene thanks to magic and the house elf, who in their right mind would put a morgue next to the kitchen, or what Dante could only presume to be the tower's torture room next to the infirmary? Either that or Salazar Slytherin was into some heavy stuff.

At the end of Dante's seventh exhausting week of exploring the tower, he found something that made his tired feet vibrate, a room that Dante could only call "construction mode The Sims version magic tower". The writing on the door said Core, but "construction mode The Sims" described it much better. It was at first glance an empty room with only an altar and a holographic model of the tower in the center of the altar.

Dante swallowed hard when he got close to the hologram of the tower, not because of the hologram itself, but because of the huge blood-red stone the size of an adult human in the shape of a heart surrounded by runes and gears that were, for lack of a better term, pulsating below the hologram and Dante's feet.

"D" - I think Nicolas Flamel could learn a thing or two from Salazar Slytherin. I always wondered how Hogwarts maintained its enchantments without a magical battery or something like that. I presume the castle must have its own "heart". Not only that, being this close to the core, I can feel it sucking a microscopic percentage of my mana.

Although he still hasn't found a wand, Dante didn't spend almost two months just cleaning. He found beginner magic books and tried to emit Lumos or levitate things with Wingardium Leviosa. And to his great surprise, he managed to emit them just with his hands, although he was momentarily blinded by the glare of Lumos in his eyes and broke countless objects of various sizes and incalculable historical value when Leviosa failed or went crazy.

Dante tried to emit Lumos near the core and as expected felt like a much larger part of energy had been used compared to other times. Dante theorized that the tower and Hogwarts castle should charge a small, almost imperceptible amount of magic from its inhabitants, so as not to wear out the stone in its Heart.

Dante studied the heart and the castle model for a long time, and concluded that he couldn't even understand the runes and mechanisms of the tower's Heart, so it would be better not to mess with it for now. On the other hand, he was already tired of walking in circles and bumping into torture rooms or entire floors that looked like poisonous swamps, and the model in front of him should be the solution to his problems. He hadn't even started thinking about how it worked when a noise in the corner of the room broke his concentration. Dante had been alone in the tower for a week. He had given very important tasks to the elf Aldar, and he would only appear when summoned. In front of the tower model appeared a stone throne and two silver-white gloves made of a thread that seemed almost ethereal, extremely resistant, but Dante could swear that the gloves were shining with a pale and sacred light that looked like moonlight. Apparently, the room could understand Dante's requests. When he put on the gloves and sat on the throne, he could move the tower model like a toy. He almost fell backwards when in front of him runes and letters appeared in the air like lights describing each floor, room, and their functions, as well as statistics and a percentage of consumption of the tower's core.

"D" - A little more and I forget that I'm in the world of Harry Potter and I'll think I've invaded the Avengers tower and I'm playing with Tony Stark's stuff. If a J.A.R.V.I.S appears, I'm going to scream.

Dante waited a few seconds with equal parts of fear and hope that a robotic voice would appear to follow his commands. … after a time of awkward silence Dante went back to browsing the tower's panels.

"D" - What kind of person needs 22 torture rooms and 15 dungeons? I can even overlook the 33 laboratories, but let's agree that a person who builds a tower with 732 rooms, and with only 1 bathroom, and 2 bedrooms has serious psychological problems. And the organization of this, it seems to be built to always have some kind of prison next to a laboratory. Dante shuddered at the thought of what kind of experiments Salazar was conducting, and it took a quick mental consultation of the files in the library for Dante's lunch to want to escape from his stomach.

"D" - Okay, let's start by deleting all the torture rooms, and dungeons, I'll make only 8 floors.

Ground floor = entrance hall, a room with a fireplace, kitchen, dining room, and one of the smaller bathrooms.

1st floor = bedrooms, Bathroom/thermal lake, offices

2nd floor = library and study rooms

3rd floor = alchemy laboratories, potions, magical research.

4th floor = gym, magic practice rooms and training fields. Second Bathroom/thermal lake 😀

5th floor = laundry, forge, carpenter, Tannery, wine cellar, stock.

6th floor = safe, heart, ???, ???, ???.

7th floor = agricultural fields, magical biomes, farms, cabin.

At the end of the process Dante didn't create any floor from scratch, he just deleted and organized the existing ones. He had no idea what some of the rooms did, rooms like the library, the heart, and the safe appeared in red and could not be deleted or modified, as well as the biomes. Dante believed it to be some kind of security measure, and maybe these floors as well as the heart were vital for the functioning of the tower so they could not be altered. In addition, 3 of the floors were locked and there was no information on the panels.

Dante leaned back in the chair giving a relieved smile while a tear ran down his eye,

"D" - Finally, I can stop sleeping on the kitchen table or in the bathroom and when I got lost in this damn maze.

The last week had been tough for Dante, he had gotten used to asking the elf Aldar to take him to the places he wanted, but a week ago he had given 3 tasks to Aldar, he should enter Hogwarts and ask the castle elves to teach him modern English. Dante realized that thanks to the language comprehension skill that death had given him, he hadn't noticed that the elf only spoke in archaic English. Then the elf should take galleons from the safe and buy all the material for all 7 years of Hogwarts, as well as books about the magical world and as a special request Dante asked the elf to also buy all the books about diseases, treatments, and cure from the bookstore. Finally, the elf should get information about the wizarding war and about a child named Harry Potter.

Dante could summon the elf at any time but feared it would disturb him, so he preferred to fend for himself this week.

D"-Ok, next we're going to see this safe. A magic wand would be cool, I can't leave now, the magic world is not safe, by my calculations and the information that Al had obtained in the month that I was still in the incubator synchronizing my soul with this body, we must be in 1980, it should be the most dangerous point of the second witch war, if I remember Harry's parents died in 1981 near Harry's 1st birthday the story begins in 1991 and the battle ends on May 2, 1998, I remember that the author always apologizes for some death on this day. I have approximately 10 years to prepare, and I will start school the same year as Harry. Well, let's get started, I'm not going to be a loner buried in books this time."
