LET’S GO HOME.

The air suddenly got heavy. It was as if something tried to make the doctor curl up and hide, Yuuma felt this and simply looked down at the floor wide-eyed.

"Okay, okay, fine! I was just joking! I'm sorry I acted that way." Doctor Chigyou pleaded while crouching behind his table.

'He lost the high ground the moment he took my ambition too lightly. This is something I learned in school. The more you familiarize yourself amongst others, the more open you are to rebuke and scorn.' Shuu thought as he looked at the doctor.

"Just show me your integrity by fulfilling your end of the bargain and I will show you mine as well." Shuu said without looking back and left the office.

"Geez, kids these days. But that was unprofessional of me." Doctor Chigyou said with a deep sigh of relief now that Shuu and his retainer left his office.

'What I am doing is unethical. Working a deal with ghouls, it's not like what I am doing down here is entirely ethical too. I better be careful about this.' The doctor thought as he relaxed on his chair.

Yuuma opened the door for Shuu to get in the car as they prepared to leave the premises. As soon as Shuu got in, Yuuma occupied the driver's seat and started the engine.

"Look for the best hotel around here." Shuu ordered as he went through his phone and saw missed calls from Matsumae.

'Miss Matsumae, I don't want to trouble her with any worries.' Shuu thought as he dialed her number.

Yuuma arrived at the toll gate, paid the toll fee, and drove into the government roads. The Mercedes Yuuma rented had tinted glasses and the model was the latest as of that time, so the toll gate officers tried to swindle poor Yuuma for more money. They tried, but this wasn't Yuuma's first rodeo.

"Shuu-sama! Where are you? Mairo has been looking for you! Your package has arrived and is in your training hall. Is Yuuma with you? I haven't seen him in the estate as well. I asked security and they said they couldn't tell since you ordered them not to. What's going on?" Matsumae's voice was very much audible even though the phone wasn't on speaker. Well even if it wasn't Yuuma being a ghoul, could still hear her voice clearly.

"That's a lot of questions Miss Matsumae. I didn't know you missed me that much. Maybe next time I'll leave a love note, handwritten by yours truly at your door." Shuu teased her over the phone.

"What? What do you? Just come home already and-" Matsumae unknowingly yelled at the phone.

"Woah Miss Matsumae. You don't just miss me but you want me now? I knew you were straightforward, but you not only shoot your shots but you are landing them! Ha ha, am I safe?" Shuu laughed. Yuuma heard this and suppressed his laugh with a gentleman's cough.

"… You. Return early, Aliza has prepared your meal." Matsumae said as she hung up her phone.

"Ha ha, Shuu-sama go easy on-" Yuuma smiled and tried to comment on what had just happened now.

"Did I hear easy? From someone who lost their weighted bracelets! A gift from their master, so carelessly discarded? Let us talk when we get a room." Shuu said as he looked at the beautiful city through his window.

Yuuma soon arrived at a seven-star hotel. The building was majestic to behold. It was over 290 feet tall and fifty thousand square-foot wide. The building was painted cream with royal blue. A valet offered to park their vehicle as Yuuma and Shuu entered the building.

The reception featured a large red carpet with gold outlines, supposedly imported from Persia. There were sofas around to sit on, a small fountain, a lot of busy attendants in uniforms, and of course, people checking in and out and also visiting the buffet room.

The duo met a man in a suit who stood before a small pulpit and greeted them with a warm smile.

"I am Tsukiyama Shuu and this is a member of my family, Yuuma. I would like to book your finest suite." Shuu said with a smile. He was ready for a burst of laughter from the attendant in front of him as he readied his black card in his pocket.

"Tsukiyama! You resemble your mother! Oh, bless her soul. Please tell your father that I treated you well. Thank goodness, I the manager was here now. I will clear your floor and make sure it's only you and your companion that will be there for the rest of your stay. And customers like you don't need to pay sir. Oh forgive me for rambling on, I am Caesar, one of Mount Tai's hotel managers." Ceasar replied with enthusiasm behind his voice.

"You don't have to go that far. My companion and I would only stay for the night. If I may trouble you, could you get him a separate room as well?" Shuu asked with a smile while trying to hide the excitement behind his voice when he heard he won't have to pay anything.

"Consider it done. Let me escort the both of you to your suite."

The duo were escorted to an elevator that prevented access by a barrier post. Two guards in front of the barrier post saw the manager and nodded as they gave way by opening up the path to the elevator. The elevator was only used by those that are able and willing to pay for the most expensive suite in the hotel.

It took at least three minutes for the elevator to reach the top floor. The hallway was spacious and there were only seven doors. The manager lead Shuu to a room, bowed slightly, and left with Yuuma.

"I wonder how hard Mirumo had to work to get such favourable connections? This place is big, but still not as big as my room." Shuu said as began undressing himself. In truth, his room back at the mansion was already bigger than most one-bedroom apartments.

Shuu could now do five hundred archer pushups, five hundred diamond pushups, and two hundred finger pushups now that he only had six hundred kilograms of extra mass on him. Luckily for him, the elevator they used was big enough to carry heavy equipment and the weight capacity was in tons or else he would have to take the steps.

He then ended his exercise with five hundred squats, five hundred sit-ups and a twenty-minute plank hold.

"Alright, workout complete! It's like I am on gear or something. Not that I know how that feels, but maxing out my reps and gaining new personal records every week is insane! I feel like I am cheating or something." Shuu laughed to himself as he walked to the showers.

"How do ghouls not exploit this advantage? Well, there is this ghoul that is an exceptional martial artist… Is it Sachi?" Shuu thought out loud excitedly. He heard footsteps approaching his door and quickly wore his suit.

"May I come in, Shuu-sama?" Yuuma asked as he knocked on the door.

''You may, Yuuma."

Yuuma walked into his suite and bowed slightly.

"I have found some intel on the ghouls that were sent after me. They are apparently ghouls for hire or mercenaries. They are from a mercenary faction known as arrowhead." Yuuma reported briefly while handing some files to Shuu. Shuu looked at Yuuma and then quickly glanced through the information contained in the file.

"Hmm, they are a group of A-ranked ghouls-sigh. We may need to call in some favours." Shuu said as he put a hand on his chin thoughtfully.

"I also acquired information about the missing bracelets." Yuuma added.

Shuu's eyes glowed with interest as he beckoned Yuuma to continue.

"According to some underground intel, the bracelet is going to be shipped tonight to an auction house. And the auction house employed some ghouls from Arrow head to escort them." Yuuma concluded. Yuuma thought that at this point it will be wiser to call the family patriarch to talk to the auctioneer about retrieving their stolen item.

"Hmm, this could also be bait. Tch, only if Mairo or Kanae was here." Shuu said. He wasn't going to be naïve thinking he can handle this by himself, he has little battle experience with ghouls after all. The thing he was confident about was that he could probably outrun an S rank ghoul if the situation called for it. But Yuuma here is just barely stronger than cannon fodder.

Yuuma on the other looked at the floor. He felt ashamed and annoyed at himself for not having the strength to protect his young master. Even the thought of buying time for his young master to escape seemed like a pipe dream to him.

"Anyway, prepare some black apparels for the both of us. Tell the pilot to be on standby tonight, I want him to be in the cockpit as we speak waiting for arrival. Since the package is moving at nine o' clock according to the intel. We leave here at six." Shuu ordered as Yuuma nodded and turned to leave.

'At least he still sees me as useful.' Yuuma thought as he tried to shake off the negative emotions he was feeling.

It was five thirty in the evening and Yuuma was in Shuu's suit arranging some outfits that were as dark as night into an expensive suitcase. Shuu and Yuuma left the hotel and left a note at the receptionist's desk to be given to the manager.
