HOME SWEET HOME.

Shuu was seen sleeping on a flippable bed called a sky nest in the jet. Yuuma joined the pilot in the cockpit but dozed off soon after which irritated pilot Changge, he sent Yuuma away from the cockpit to concentrate.

"Okay first of all loosen the bolts in the tires a little… alright now use the jack… That height is fine, now lose the bolts after that you change the tires." Daniel's father instructed as he crouched behind his son. It was midday and the sun was high in the sky with no clouds and Daniel was sweating buckets in his attempts at changing the four tires.

"Tch… Why do you have to tighten the bolts this much? Who is trying to steal the tires? It's hard removing these manually, can't we use the drill to make this easier? Won't that be more efficient? Doesn't this go against your teachings of working efficiently?" Daniel whined without ceasing.

"You are right." Daniel's dad answered plainly. He was happy with his son's deduction and also tried to help with molding his mind the best he can. He wore a stern expression when he remembered that one day his son will face the harsh realities of the world, even now as he goes to school with different people that will affect his outlook on life, he still wants to prepare his son the best he can.

"Now that you are on your fourth tire, you are much faster in changing it compared to when you started on the first. Still, you are much slower than your grandma at that ha ha!" He bellowed in laughter as he slapped his son on the back which made Daniel jerk forward.

"That hurt!" Daniel whined once more.

"And fragile like a lil' lamb. Look at him with his little arms changing tires, ha ha!" His father kept on with his dad jokes.

"But grandma actually taught me how to change tires, so you are slow. You'd think you can make it to be a pit boy at the racing tracks?"

"What? Well, stop it! I am only twelve!" Daniel complained.

"Don't tease the boy like that!" Daniel's mom appeared and gave a glass of lemonade with ice cubes to his father.

"Argh, wait I want some…" Shuu proclaimed but saw clouds illuminated by the sun from his window.

'So I am still here. When last did I dream about Mom? I really am here, this is still not a dream, I have to accept that and make new plans moving forward with that in mind.' Shuu looked around as a tear trickled down his right eye unknown to him.

"Shuu-sama, you asked for something from your… late mother. Are you fine?" Yuuma asked with concern on his face. He heard his young master call for his mother in his sleep with his hands reaching out. He knew that Mirumo and Shuu had lost someone precious to them and was trying to approach this matter gently.

"Anyone is bound to remember their loved ones at some point… even the ones we lost." Shuu said as he got up.

"We would be arriving at our private airfield in Japan in nine hundred hours." Pilot Changee announced through the P.A system from the cockpit.

"That's why… This time, I am not losing anyone." Shuu said with determination and a tinge of coldness in his eyes.

Yuuma saw this and gained a little understanding of the young master and simply bowed.

"I was just serving the Tsukiyama household because I had nowhere to go. I am grateful to the patriarch for taking me in, but now I will devote myself to becoming someone that can even dream of protecting you SHUU-SAMA!" Yuuma proclaimed with a bow.

"Don't think you can weasel your way out of your punishment with that." Shuu said and dismissed Yuuma. Yuuma however came back with some coffee to ease his growing hunger. They are ghouls, after all, they feed on human flesh and find human processed foods revolting to their pallets except for coffee and water. Coffee could only ease their ever-growing hunger but not satisfy it or give them strength.

Thirty minutes passed by easily and their jet was cleared for landing. After the jet came to a stop Yumma kicked the passenger door out. The door was damaged and was only closed earlier through the application of brute force, it was clear it needed to be replaced and not fixed. The ghouls in the plane hopped out and were greeted by Mairo who was already informed of their arrival.

Shuu looked at the early morning sky and took in a deep breath.

"It's good to be back. I might as well make here home as well." Shuu said as he looked at the sky with longing.

"Shuu-sama." Yuuma said. He thought Shuu meant conquering the sovereign state of Japan! He kept quiet and followed after his master inside their ride.

"I hope you had a lovely stay in Germany. I am sure it was quite eventful, you could have brought me along you know." Mairo talked as he drove for the Tsukiyama estate.

"Oh, it was lovely. You should have seen the way the locals greeted us and even gave us a free escort with gifts to our jet!" Shuu exclaimed happily. Yuuma on the other hand wasn't as cheerful but kept his mouth shut anyway.

"Ah, really now I am really regretting not being called for this trip." Mairo said.

"Don't worry yourself too much it would have been boring for you anyways." Shuu replied.

'Boring! Is Mairo that strong?' Yuuma thought to himself. Mairo soon pulled up to the gates of the Tsukiyama estate in the twenty-first ward. He then put the car to a stop in front of the mansion.

"Good to be back." Shuu said expressively and stretched his arms as he came out of the car. Matsumae was waiting for him in front of the mansion with an annoyed look on her face.

"Welcome back, Shuu-sama." She said coldly like a wife who was expecting something from her partner but was disappointed and annoyed by the neglect.

"Ho, Miss Matsumae! Did I offend you in any way?"

"You are the heir of the Tsukiyama family and…"

"Cut that nonsense out and speak freely." Shuu said as he towered over her. He waited for her response but did get any.

"Can't say I am not disappointed " Shuu remarked as he left for the mansion. Shuu walked in and sensed his father in the family gallery. He walked in and performed a slight bow.

"I have returned father." Shuu said as he addressed Mirumo who sat on a chair in front of him without looking back.

"I got reports of a particular ghoul causing trouble in Germany." Mirumo spoke and waited for Shuu's reply but received silence.

"I don't know why you put Yuuma in harm's way. Now our information brokers there have their hands full with trying to destroy any evidence that would link Yuuma to the Tsukiyama family. Do you know what they could do with that information? They could sell it to the GFG and even the CCG!" Mirumo turned and scolded his son.

"You went to a ghoul research facility of all places! Have you lost your mind? Have you gone bonkers?!" Mirumo almost screamed as walked closer to Shuu.

"Now that backwater faction will be looking for Yuuma, for some reason they couldn't get your profile or face. Luckily we know the owners of that airfield in Germany that we rented. They won't tell the ghoul mercenaries anything." Mirumo commented.

"You could have been captured or worse!" Mirumo said softly this time.

"Is this about what you said in the gardens?" Mirumo turned to ask Shuu. But Shuu still kept quiet.

"ANSWER ME!" Mirumo exclaimed, activating his Kakugan in the process. Shuu saw this and met his gaze respectfully.

"I remember we agreed to talk about this in four months' time." Shuu replied calmly.

'I can understand where he is coming from. Who wouldn't be worried after hearing what I did in Germany.' Shuu thought.

"All I do is for the sake of the family and nothing else." Shuu said with a bow and left the gallery.

The atmosphere in the mansion was heavy as dark clouds filled the sky as if to complement the situation. Shuu was frustrated from his earlier meeting and immediately went to his new training facility without even changing his clothes.

He opened the steel garage door with his hands and stomped inside loudly. The residents in the Tsukiyama estate saw Shuu's countenance and decided to leave him be.

Shuu undressed himself till he was shirtless with only a boxer on. Afterward, he closed the steel garage door with a button on the wall. Shuu scanned his environment and saw the various pieces of equipment that he had requested weeks ago. He went to a box containing weighted bracelets and two weighted bracelets that weighed two hundred kilograms each. The bracelets were arranged in such a way that the easiest to carry or move was placed on top all the way down to the heaviest. He lifted them with negligible difficulty and placed them on a bench. Shuu removed all the weighted bracelets from his ankles and his arms. He then equipped the new bracelets on his wrists. He had a total of eight hundred kilograms on him again, but this time they felt better than the last time since he had to equip eight pairs of bracelets in total that's sixteen bracelets at once!

If not for the aesthetic design he would look ridiculous anytime he put on his school uniform and his fellow students noticed bulges on his arms and legs. But now he only wore four bracelets-one in each arm and one in each leg. They didn't hinder his movement by much at all but he wanted to have an effective workout without strain.

Loud grunts and metal hitting concrete could be heard from Shuu's training facility (gym) as Matsumae watched from a distance. Shuu didn't leave the building even when the day broke. Mairo saw this and looked for Matsumae.

"It's morning already, why don't you talk to the young master and see if he is alright?" Mairo asked when he found Matsumae in a corporate outfit and picked up some files from a desk.

"I don't think he wants to talk to me." Matsumae replied bluntly. Scenes from yesterday played in her head when Shuu greeted her and didn't get the honest reply that he wanted. She balled her fist tightly behind her while keeping a serious expression.

"Huh? What do you mean? Since when do you care about that Matsumae-san?!" Mairo asked surprisingly with arched eyebrows. The Matsumae he know has a mission or objective-ridden mindset. She was tasked with important jobs and missions because of this and handled any situation as effectively as possible. What could she mean by this remark? These thoughts plagued Mairo as he tried to bring the pieces together.

"Think what you will. I am escorting the patriarch with Kanae today, you are tasked with keeping the estate safe and supervising other matters on my behalf." Matsumae replied coldly as she walked passed him.

'Well, I guess I am worried for nothing. But what's with her?' Mairo thought and shrugged off those thoughts and wondered about training Aliza and Yuuma.
