Chapter 48:Before we start

"How did you convince me to come here again?" Logan asked no one in particular. Everyone was in the backyard waiting for Madison so as to begin our training. After the fight with Philip, they made a deal with her, saying that she would allow them to go rescue Gale if she allowed her to train them. Lucian had created something like a veil, something that his father does when he sees him and Daffodil train in the past. Luckily, he was taught before he passed on. The veil was to prevent anyone else from entering or seeing what was going on inside. It was a forest green barrier, making the rest of them look in awe, clearly impressed and fascinated.

Jin and Stuart can be seen in the background, pretending to be throwing moves in the air. Dahlia would stare at the pretty daffodils on the flowerbed. Jeffrey, Anastasia, and Elvis watched the two young boys while Ash and Lucian were discussing new moves they could try. Surprisingly, the green-haired boy started the conversation and was willing to continue so he could learn a thing or two.

Logan lay on the hammock, using a side eye to watch the rest of his group. He squinted his eyes, looking around. Someone was missing among them. Should he voice it out or just stay quiet? The thing is that he is too lazy to do the former.

Just then, a yelp could be heard from the house. All eyes darted to the black-haired male, who dashed to Ash and Lucian, hiding behind the two. Before Ash could retort, a voice spoke up.

"Didn't I say you should come outside?" Mark whimpered in fear, tugging on to Ash more, earning an irritated sigh from the girl. He didn't want to train and decided to hide. Luck was not on his side today since the older teen found him under the bed.

"You decided to hide under the bed, huh?" Ash stifled a laugh at the stupidity. Lucian only hummed, eyeing the boy. He was probably on the same terms as Jeffrey. Logan remained a poker face watching the scene and played back on the hammock.

"Woah! - What the heck?" Logan yelled once he was thrown off the hammock. He faced the older teen.

"I didn't say you could take a nap, did I?" Madison said.

"I wasn't doing that if it was what you thought." Logan huffed. People really are a piece of work, in his opinion. Always getting agitated for the slightest reason. From his point of view, Elvis prioritizes things but can be wacky at times.

Anastasia was one who liked to scold people too much to his liking.

Jeffrey is known to him as the wacky, loud, and idiotic blonde.

Hmmm... the two bratty kids.

Dahlia... she is tolerable and quiet.

Mark is tolerable, except when he is scared or cowardly.

Lucian, They would have probably gotten along sooner if they had had more conversations. He is cool with him.

Ash's personality complements her deep auburn hair. Standing up for others is something I envy at times since I am too lazy to do so. Although she is hot-headed most of the time,.

And finally, Logan looked at his senior. She is really one that any boy would fall head over heels for. The same thing applies to Lucian's sister. Both siblings are generally good-looking. He respects her but hopes that she will cut him some slack.

"Great! Time to train." The older teen beamed. Logan arched an eyebrow. Her personality just did a 180° turn. She went from being cold to being giddy and excited, like the two brats. He sensed that something not to his liking would happen during this period.

"What do we have to do first?" Jeffrey asked, staring awkwardly at Ash, trying to pry off Mark from her, and Lucian looked on, not bothered.

"You all need to line up." There were some questioning looks, but they decided against it and obeyed. By coincidence, they lined up according to their age. Logan, Lucian, Elvis, Anastasia, Ash, Jeffrey, Mark, Dahlia, Jin, and Stuart. Of course, the teenagers except Dahlia were the same age but in different months. "If you believe that you are not interested, You can back out now. I'm just training you because of what is to become."

"But I taught you that there are no exceptions." Anastasia spoke in a confused state.

"I did. I thought about how you would all feel. However, since that is the case, I can tell that not all of you will excel here, so others can stay back and watch. I can teach the rest of you some medical thing or two." With that, Anastasia, Dahlia, Mark, and Elvis stood aside.

Logan took a step to their side but stopped under Madison's gaze. He sighed before heading back to his spot. What a bother. Stuart was urged not to do the training as he was still young. 

"What about Jin?" Stuart complained.

"Don't lump me in with you." Jin frowned at the boy.

"You are also a kid."

"What did you say?"

"You are the same age as me."

"Do your basic math. I'm three years older."

Stuart gasped. "Surprisingly dumb for a twelve-year-old." Jeffrey and Ash stiffled a laugh. Elvis quickly intervened before he could murder his junior.

Logan agreed with Stuart, along with Lucian. Madison cleared her throat.

"Okay. Now the five of you." Logan looked next to him. A non-chalant green-haired half boy, half beast, A hot-headed cool girl, a blonde idiot, a mini version of the idiot but with brown hair, and a lazy, indifferent teen. Wooh team!

"I want you guys to come at me!" Madison said she was getting into a battling stance.
