The Traveller With The Adventurer!

A few days had passed since I began staying with Yukki, and during this time, I learned one undeniable truth: her culinary creations were absolutely divine! They could rival even the most prestigious 12-star restaurants, and I dare say, surpass them! The ecstasy I experienced while savoring her dishes transcended any gustatory experience I'd had. Yukki, the girl who saved me from the clutches of mana exhaustion, was indeed a culinary genius. As a timid young demi-human, half-cat, Yukki emanated an irresistible charm, making me yearn to pet her delicate cat ears and tail.

"Yuuki!! This tamagoyaki is absolutely delightful!" I exclaimed between bites, my enthusiasm evident.

"I-is that so?" Yukki mumbled bashfully, a rosy hue gracing her cheeks.

"By the way, Yuuki... Is there a town nearby?" I devoured the tamagoyaki before me and turned my attention to her.

"Eh? Did you arrive here without knowing that?" Yukki inquired, confusion knitting her brows.

"I... Yuuki, there's something I neglected to mention." I adjusted my posture and met her gaze directly.

"Y-yes? W-what is it..?" Yukki appeared intimidated by the gravity of my tone.

"Actually, I'm not from this world or this dimension. I'm a traveler who journeys through time and space in search of a permanent haven, a tranquil sanctuary devoid of danger—a place of joy," I confessed, my gaze dropping to my empty plate.

"Traveler... journeying... through time and space?" Yukki's thoughts seemed to scatter, understandably so, given the shock of encountering someone who traverses time and space in search of a peaceful abode.

"Wait, so you suddenly appeared in my room due to..." Yukki connected the dots, realization dawning.

"Yes, it's a result of a miscalculated landing. I expended an excessive amount of mana while shifting dimensions. Consequently, I found myself forced to land in a random dimension, seeking respite," I explained, sipping on the exquisite green tea, which rivalled even the offerings of the most esteemed ten-star cafes.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." Yukki's expression carried empathy.

"Why apologize? This place is remarkable! It's exactly where I wanted to be! And, of course, you saved me from the brink of mana depletion. Had I not consumed my mana potion, I might well have perished by now!" I grinned at her, my voice brimming with cheer.

"Um... But aren't you a bit too young to be a time traveler? You appear to be in high school," Yukki questioned, her confusion palpable. It was a valid query; after all, I had ceased aging at seventeen.

"I may look younger than my actual age. In truth, I ceased aging at seventeen, which is why I remain both youthful in appearance and stature," I explained, absently pondering my peculiar state.

"Ah, and regarding your earlier question, yes, there is a town nearby! It lies directly to the east," Yukki confirmed.

"Hmm... I'll likely need to register as an adventurer. Does the town have an adventurer's guild?" I figured there should be at least one guild within the town's boundaries. Otherwise, I'd be in quite a predicament.

"Yes, there is! And considering your magical prowess, you could probably register as a magician!" Yukki suggested.

"Not this time! I plan to register as 'no class'," I proudly proclaimed.

"No class? What kind of occupation is that?" Yukki appeared puzzled by this unfamiliar term.

"It's a role that doesn't neatly fall into the categories of magician or fighter. Rather, it embodies aspects of both—essentially a magic swordsman," I elaborated, knowing full well that I had reached a level of mastery beyond these designations.

"I see. But if you intend to join as a magic swordsman, you'll need to undergo a specific test tailored to that role. This might involve casting magic or engaging in one-on-one combat with an instructor. Are you confident about passing it, Yuna?" Yukki questioned, concern etching her features.

"I'm fairly certain. I might be new to this dimension, but I have faith in my skills," I replied, my confidence rooted in my experience, including a victorious battle against a god.

"Then, let's be on our way!" Yukki sprang up, her enthusiasm palpable.

"Wait, before that, I need to retrieve my weapon." With that, I produced my magic bag, a familiar item from my previous travels.

"Weapon?" Yukki appeared puzzled.

"Yes, my weapon." I withdrew a wooden sword—an ordinary sight at first glance, yet pulsating with a profound magical aura. A pang of nostalgia enveloped me as I held it in my hands.

"A wooden sword? Is that your chosen weapon?" Yukki's confusion deepened.

"Not merely a wooden sword; this is a magical blade woven from pure arcane energy, seamlessly entwined with the essence of nature," I clarified, brandishing the sword to familiarize myself with its feel.

"It's my first time seeing a magical sword in person," Yukki confessed, awe evident in her eyes.

"Then, to the adventurer's guild we go!" I beckoned to Yukki, extending my hand.

"Wait, wait, wait, Yuna!! You're too fast!!!" Yukki exclaimed as I set off.

"Whoa!! Is that it, Yukki?... Yukki?" I halted abruptly as I noticed Yukki had fainted from the sheer shock.

"Yukkiiii!!!!!!" I cried out, my guilt weighing heavily.

A few moments later, Yukki regained consciousness. Naturally, she proceeded to scold me at length. Nevertheless, we ultimately arrived at the main gate.

"Ah, Yukki! Welcome back," a voice unfamiliar to me greeted us.

"Good afternoon, Alex." Yukki exchanged pleasantries with the voice, which presumably belonged to a middle-aged man named Alex.

"Oh, and who's this young lady accompanying you?" The curiosity in his tone was palpable as he examined me.

"Ah, this is Yuna. She'll be staying with me for a while, for some reason," Yukki introduced me.

"Good afternoon. My name is Yuna," I greeted Alex with a noble flourish.

"O-oh... Well then, welcome to Salvia Town, Yuna!" Alex extended his welcome with a chuckle.

"Well then, we're off to the adventurer's guild! See you later, Alex!" Yukki bid Alex farewell.

"Oh... So Yuna is becoming an adventurer, eh? Hahaha, best of luck to you, Yuno!" Alex patted me on the back.

"Ahahaha..." I chuckled nervously, a mixture of confusion and amusement taking hold.

A few minutes of walking brought us to the grandeur of the adventurer's guild. Truth be told, its size exceeded my imagination, surpassing even the dimensions of an average house in my hometown.

"Whoa... The adventurer's guild is much more imposing than I had envisioned," I mused aloud.

"Shall we proceed, Yuna?" Yukki extended her hand towards me.

"Indeed!" With a nod, we ventured forth.
