The Traveller And The First Battle!

"Arch Demon...?" I mutter to myself.

"Archdemon?!?" Yukki shouted.

"Don't worry, those might be a little tough, but they're easy to beat!" I give her a reassuring smile.

"Really?" Yukki still looks concerned.

"Yes, I've beaten them countless times already, so I know what I'm doing." I offer my hand to comfort her.

"I-I will help you fight the demon!" Yukiko shouts at me.

"Oh... sure, just be careful with their mana."

"Oh! Yuna and Yukki. Are you two doing a quest?" a familiar voice comes from not too far away.

"Oh, Alex! Yeah, we're on a quest right now!" I reply.

"Well, good luck out there! I heard there are some demons lurking around the forest, so be careful when you do your quest!" Alex laughs and pats my back again.

"Hmm, you don't need to worry. We will be careful. Then, we'll be right back!"

We then enter the forest, where I sense really dark mana and finally find the source—a red boar. It seems like it got possessed by a demon and is rampaging, attacking everything in its path. But there's no need to worry; I've encountered them countless times already. A smirked expression shows on my face.

"Stay here, Yukki. You don't want to get hurt," I say as I continue to walk forward toward the possessed red boar.

"R-Roger!" Yukki says with a concerned look.

"Don't worry, it will end quickly." I disappear into the bushes.

"Sup over there, boar," I call out to the demonic boar. It looks at me with an intimidating glare, but it doesn't faze me at all. The boar groans in response.

"So, I'm just going to kill this thing and then I will rank up to S rank immediately? Sounds easy enough," I say as I pull out my magic sword from my back and point it at the boar.

"Keke, human! Do you think you can beat me, the top 10 demon general, with that wooden sword?!" I hear a voice in my head. Is this telepathy? I'm a bit surprised because this demon can use a mid-level spell like telepathy, but it doesn't faze me. In my world, everyone can use telepathy as basic magic.

"That's right! I will defeat you with this wooden sword to show you how weak you are!" I shout at the boar. The boar then launches itself toward me, attacking with a tackle. But of course, its movement is too slow, far too slow. Even I'm surprised by how weak the boar is.

"Are you really a top 10 demon general? Because you're slow as heck. I don't even need to dodge," I say as I try to stop it with just my finger. It may be a bit risky, but I've enchanted my finger with body strengthening just in case.

"Is that all you can do?" I smirk at the demonic boar.

"Impossible! How can you stop my tackle with just one finger?! Who are you?" The boar's voice reveals surprise and confusion.

"How boring... I don't even need to use magic." I grab its horn and lightly punch its face. The boar gets knocked back quite far into a tree.

"What did you do?!" The voice becomes even angrier.

"Nothing, I just touched you lightly," I reply, and then I bring my hand pointed at the boar and cast, "Weakest fire spell, fireball." A small fireball appears in my hand. Despite its small size, it's as powerful as the strongest spell, Inferno.

"Who the hell are you?!?!?!" I throw the fireball at the boar, clearing out the entire forest in front of me. I might have used my mana a bit too much. Then I hear a rustling sound behind me.

"Who is that?" I ask, pointing my wooden sword at the bushes.

"Wait, wait! It's me, Yuna!" Yukki emerges from one of the bushes.

"Ah, it's Yukki! I've completed my quest. Let's go back, shall we?" I give her a soft smile.

"No... aren't we going to get scolded for this?" Yukki asks, pointing at the forest that I destroyed.

"No, it's fine. The Guildmaster never told me that I can't destroy a little part of the forest. Tehe!" I chuckle.

"Well, the Guildmaster is probably going to be surprised about this..." Yukki sighs.

"He probably will be. Well then, let's go back to the guild!" I take Yukki's hand and head straight to the main gate.

"Oh! Yukki and Yuna! You two are back! I'm glad. When I heard your mission was to subjugate the demon, I immediately started to worry. But if you come back in one piece, then I assume you defeated the demon, right? Hahaha!" Alex starts to laugh again.

"Yes, we did defeat the demon, and we're about to report it to the Guildmaster right now, so we're going. See you later, Alex!" We wave to him and proceed to the guild.

As we're about to talk to Aira, three people block our path. What will happen to Yuna and Yukki? Why are these people blocking their path? Are they going to fight? To be continued!
