The traveling Alchemist

so it's basically a guy from our world dying getting thrown into the 'real' world of overlord and becoming an alchemist. There is, however, a slight problem. He won't end up in the same world as papa bones.

A/N: Hey guys, I am currently holding a vote in the aux chapter 'characters'. If you want to, you can vote for one of 4 characters that I am going to implement into this story.

-6 years later, in the year 2113-

It's been 6 years since my sister Shiro has been born, and it's about time for her to get her nanit injection.

To me, this is wonderful because now I can play deep dive video games with her.

From what I figured out, she is really good at games, and I somehow became just as good at games as her when we played each other.

After the drastic improvement of our gaming skills I noticed that we were basically Sora and Shiro from 'no game no life', but I'm pretty sure that we weren't at their level of skill, because we didn'tfocus on games in our life.

I had my focus on learning as much as I could with the help of my ability 'knowledge on sight', and she was focused on making friends and learning from me.

For some reason, she really enjoyed my lessons and my praise.

Anyways, the day of her nanit injection was coming near, and I was about to put one aspect of my plans in motion.

Depending on her response, it might make me have to replan everything about my plans that involve her.

I was going to tell her about the future, the game Yggdrasil, and my plans.

I hope she will believe me.

"Hey, Shiro. Can we talk in private? I need to tell you something very important."

Shiro looked a bit surprised at me since right now it was my studying time, and usually I do anything else besides study in that time.

"Sure, Sora. What do you want to tell me?"

We were currently in the living room, but I thought it was unsuited for what I was about to tell her.

"Not here. Let's go to my room. I can explain everything in more detail there."

She nodded with some worry.

After I closed and locked the door of my room, I went to my drawer and pulled out my plans from a hidden compartment.

-pov of Shiro-

After my brother pulled out some papers out of his drawer, he started to act weird.

"Ok. Here it goes. Shiro, if I told you that you could go to a different world with me, would you do it?"

"What's with the weird question, Sora? Are your consistent headaches getting to you?"

I was getting really worried about him.

He never acted like that before.

"Shiro, please just answer the question."

Whatever he is going to tell me must be really important to him.

"*sigh* If I could, I would, Sora."

"Why?"

"Are you seriously asking me that?"

He just kept staring at me with focus.

I had no choice but to answer him.

"I would because our world sucks, Sora.

When I go out I have to wear protection because of the pollution outside.

When I go home, I would feel lonely without you since mom and dad are always working.

When I want to eat, we only have a disgusting past for food.

When we go to sleep, I worry that one of us might never wake up again due to overworking.

The only enjoyable things about this world are my family, whom I can't even see for most of the day, and the games you and I play together.

Whatever world we would go to, I can't imagine it being worse than the world we are currently in!"

I proclaimed out of frustration and anger at the world.

I looked down and wanted to apologize, but I suddenly saw Sora's hand on my head.

"Sorry for making you feel like that, Shiro, but I had to confirm your reasons."

I nodded and forgave him.

"So now to the reason why I wanted to talk with you."

I stopped for a second.

"I have a way for us to get away from this world, Shiro."

'What?'

"It will take us 25 years to accomplish it."

I didn't know what to say.

I wanted to say that he is lying, but he would never lie about something like that, and only one word came out of me.

"How?"

He smirked.

"By playing a game."

At that point, I just got angry at him and wanted to punch him for wasting my time.

"Hold on! Let me finish. This game is called Yggdrasil, and to go to another world, we'll have to be within the game during the server shutdown. It may sound strange and impossible to you, but trust me, I know it'll work!"

I was still angry and shouted.

"Even if it was true! How would you know, Sora! Or are you just lying to me to give me false hope!"

He remained calm.

"How would I know? Well. Because I am a reincarnator."

"Stop lying!"

He stared at me, and I slowly realized he wasn't lying.

He didn't show any signs for lying.

"I'm not lying, Shiro. Trust me, I'm not."

"Ok. I'll believe you, but only after this game comes out! So tell me, when will this game come out?"

He smiled and said.

"Yggdrasil will come out in the year 2126."

"I'll remember that, but if it doesn't come out, I will never forgive you for lying to me!"

"Thank you for believing in me."

The atmosphere got to cheesy for me, and I urged him to show me his plans.

-pov of Sora-

"My plans are as follows. Before Yggdrasil gets released, we should practice combat in games, but we can not spend too much money on them. For our race, we will choose the angel race since they are heteromorphs that can easily be confused with the human race if their wings are hidden. As for the classes we chose, I'll choose the Alchemist class. As for you, I don't know, you should decide for yourself.

In the game, we can also create npcs. I'll

Create myself a partner that can support me in any situation."

"So npcs also get transferred? Do they get personalities?"

"Yes, they get the personalities they are given in the flavor text. A theory of mine is that they can also get certain abilities through the transference. For example, you can write in the flavor text of an item that it can give you the skills of a grandmaster."

"That sounds incredibly powerful!"

"Yes, but remember it's just a theory of mine."

"By the way, will we join a guild or something like that?"

I stayed silent for a bit before explaining why I couldn't join or create a guild.

"Sorry. I can't join or create a guild. The fate of this world does not allow me to do so. In fact, I am currently risking my existence by including you in my plans."

"Wait. Explain further. How does this risk your very existence, and what exactly do you mean fate doesn't allow you to join a guild?"

"You can think of fate as the consciousness of the world and the fate of this world only allows me to exist here if I don't mess with its plans for the remaining players. As for the risk I'm taking now is that I wasn't allowed to change the future of certain players and I don't know if you were supposed to be one of the players that are in its plans."

"Hold on, you know the future? What's next?! Are you gonna tell me that our current world is only a fictional world?"

"Well. The world we are currently in is not fictional, but I know of this world only because of fiction. I suggest you don't think about it too much. Do you have any more questions?"

"Yes, I have a few."

Then, I started to answer the questions and worked out the details of my plans.
