The truth that was hidden

Derick had a cold look on his face and walked over to Marika and Richard.

"Master you just stay and watch over us, this is a family matter and should be handle like one."

Marika then came down from the bed and walked over to Kevin and picked him. 'You are a foolish little thing…you just inquired the wrath of a father and sister.'

Marika knocked Kevin out and placed him on the bed, and used a chaining spell on him.

Marika and Derick enter Kevin's deepest part of his mind and saw Kevin and Vulpes being chained up and beaten up.

There was a white fox standing in front of him "Ahaha your sister is dead and next will be your father!"

"This is all your fault and your own doing. You should never have been born."

Marika whispered to Derick, 'You take care of Kevin and Vulpes, I'll deal with that trash.'

Kevin started to laugh at the white fox, "Ahaha, you think my sister would die so easily? You really underestimate my sister, she maybe a dragon but she has the cunningness of a fox. She already had put in a lot of safety measures in place beforehand and she placed them so I wouldn't know where she put them."

"Ohh a dragon you say? I can't wait to tell Master that I actually have killed a dragon."

Derick nodded and Marika came up behind the fox and she said 'Ohh if I'm dead then explain to me how it's possible for me to be here then?' And she trusted her sword through the white fox body.

Kevin and Vulpes looked up and saw Marika standing in front of them with the fox impaled on her sword.

'Humm let's see, if I kill you here, than your body will be empty and die soon after you. If I mortally wound you now the stress and shock will catch up to your body and you'll die…'

'What to do, what to do?'

"The fox on her sword started to laugh, "Wouldn't that be the same for him to?"

'No…my little brother will get out of this without any problems. You see I possess healing magic, I can heal him up and he will not be affected in the slightest." Marika smirked.

Marika turned to Kevin and asked him 'The first option he'll die but he won't suffer much, the second option he will suffer a great deal but it is a short suffering. What do you want to do?'

Kevin and Vulpes were both freed and Kevin drew his dagger.

He then stabbed the fox. "I hope this poison will make it excruciating."

Marika pulled her sword from the fox and patted Kevin's head.

"Too bad we can't witness it but I hope you have a wonderful and painful death." Kevin smirked.

'Ohh and if you have the chance to speak to the head of your clan, tell him that we are coming for him.'

The fox who infiltrated Kevin's body left

Marika started to heal Kevin and Vulpes.

And they both hugged her.

"We never believed what he was saying." Vulpes said.

"Yeh we know better than anybody else that sister would notices that something was not right."

Marika looked at the both of them and smiled. 'But to be fair her, dad really looked scary before we came her.'

"I can be even more scarier if my children were hurt to the point of death." Derick said with a teasing tone.

"Now let's go back your body already underwent a lot of stress and staying here to long is bad for your body."

'Yes dad…'

'See you on the other side!'

Marika and Derick woke up and while they waited for Kevin, Marika said to Richard 'You were right…the reason why I couldn't feel their presence is because the used the Inari Shrine as a mean's to possess and harm Kevin.'

'Those bastard are still in The World of Night.'

Marika had an annoyed look on her face.

"Sweetie?"

'Arg this is so frustrating!!!'

"Is she…"

"Most likely Master."

Kevin woke up and tucked on Marika's sleeve, Marika looked at Kevin who stood next to her in his second stage. Marika's anger and frustration all flew out of the window and her mood changed in a blink of an eye.

She was cuddling Kevin.

"Sister are you calm now?"

Marika had a big smile on her face and nodded.

"Well from now on Kevin will be our damage control." Richard said to Derick.

Derick sighed a little.

"Sister first we will deal with The Sun Kingdom and after that we will wipe out The White Fox Clan how does that sounds?"

'Oké!'

"Sweetie you have a few more hours to get some sleep, so go to sleep."

'But…'

"No but's, or do you want to fall to potential enemies because your sleep deprived?"

"Sis you go with Master, I'll be fine and I have Dante and dad here."

Marika smiled and ruffled Kevin's hair. 'Alright…See you in a few hours.'

Marika and Richard left the room.

Kevin looked at Dante "Brother when we are in The Sun Kingdom you and I stay together."

Dante looked at Kevin "Sure no problem."

"Now have some rest, we will be leaving early."

Kevin nodded.

[Next day]

Everybody was ready to go, but there was still one person missing.

"Sister Aron is still not here yet." Dante said to Marika.

'Ohh…I bet that obnoxious elder brother of his probably got jealous of his younger brother.'

Camila came running to Marika 'Elder sister!'

Marika turned around and saw Camila came running up to her while waving, when she reached Marika she was panting heavily.

'First catch your breath.'

'Sister…Vincent…'

'I know, I had a feeling Vincent would lock up your brother Aron because he is jealous of his achievements.'

Camila finally caught her breath, 'What do we do now? Your about to leave and…'

Marika smiled 'Don't worry…were going to bust him out. Even if I have to turn the place upside down we will get him out. So do you know where he is held?'

Camilla nodded.

Luca asked Richard "Why is she here?"

"Camila, she helped me out a great deal to get Marika over her separation anxiety."

"How did she do that?"

"Every time she came over for a visit she chased me away, she spent a lot of one on one time with her, she only allowed Kevin and Dante to join them. She took Marika outside from time to time for hours on end." Richard said with a chuckle.

"They became very close, and Camila is surprisingly very open and straight forward just like Marika."

Marika transformed and told Camila and Canus to hop on her back.

"We'll be right back." Canus said.

Marika flew towards The Green Dragon Clan. It only took a few minutes before they arrived.

'Lead the way Camila.'

A few soldiers tried to stop them but they were knocked out by Marika and Canus.

"How insolent to point a sword towards a head of a clan…"

The commotion they caused attracted Harold and Vincent's attention and came outside to have a look.

'I came to pick up Aron, since he is late and we are ready for departure.'

"But I was told that Aron already left early in the morning." Harold said to Marika.

'I that so…then why did your daughter rushed over to my place in a panic?'

'Camila you take Canus with you and get Aron here.'

'Canus I allow you to break down any wall, door and window. And seriously injure anybody who tries to stop you.'

Camila and Canus left right away.

Marika was furious and walked over to Vincent and slapped him in the face with some force.

'HOW DARE YOU!'

'Not only do you delay my departure…is it so hard for you to accept that your younger brother achieved something on his own, if he was given the chance to do so.'

Vincent had a perplexed look on his face

'If you think you'll get the same punishment as your younger brother then you're wrong. You will stay here and reflect on your actions. You are not allowed to leave this place until I get back from the Sun Kingdom.'

Harold looked at his son and then at Marika. "I will lock him up in his room until you return, even if it means that he will be locked up for a few years."

Marika nodded.

After a few minute's Camila, Canus and Aron arrived.

'Aron are you alright?'

"Yes Your Majesty."

'Good now let's go, were already late.'

Marika looked cold at Vincent. 'You better reflect on your action's if not…then the next time you won't get off with just on slap.'

'Camila keep an eye on you older brother and make sure he is staying put until I get back.'

Marika gave Camila hug and then transformed in to a dragon and took off.

Camila looked at her brother Vincent. 'Honestly big brother, you had to piss her off…Be grateful you just got off with a slap.'

'Let me tell you something brother, even if I didn't go over there to fetch her, she already knew what you did, so she would have come anyway.'

Camila turned around and left for her room.

Marika arrived back at the main house, where the first prince of the red and yellow clan were waiting for them.

They bowed to her "Queen Yumaria are you ready to set off?" Michael asked her.

Marika nodded and Michael opened a portal for them.

As everybody went a head of her Marika turned around and smiled. 'I'll be back soon.'

"Have a safe trip." Richard said to her.

Marika nodded and walked through the portal.

Just as Marika left Richard spotted two green dragons approaching the main house.

"Luca do you expect guest?" As he pointed in to the sky.

"Yeh…sister told me they would come."

The two dragons landed and a girl came down from Rex back. When she saw Luca and Richard standing, she felt nervous.

Alex and Rex changed in to their human form and the girl hid behind Rex.

Luca walk up to Alex "You…" he hugged his brother.

"What took you so long to come and find me brother."

"And here I thought you were going to cry just like sister did."

"Like I would do something like that."

"It's so unfair that you met with sister first." Luca pouted.

Alex laughed "You really haven't changed a bit."

Alex let go of his brother and bowed to Richard. "It is an honor to meet The Moon King."

Richard nodded and said they should all go inside to talk.

As they went inside the house and set down. Richard noticed the girl was nervous and asked "Is she always like that with people she meet's for the first time?"

"Ivy always gets nervous when she gets to new places and meet new people." Rex answered him.

Richard called for Nova to come.

"Oh my god!!! Is that a baby dragon?" Rex asked Richard.

Richard and Luca were quite surprised by how Rex reacted and looked at each other.

"Brother in law… we did send our sister off a moment ago right?"

"I think so…"

Alex started to laugh a little. "It must be quite a shock for you two, but Rex has almost the same personality trades as sister."

Nova saw the girl was quite nervous and he slowly walked up to her and sat down in front of her.

Ivy looked at Nova and asked, 'Can I pet him?'

"Go ahead, he won't hurt you."

Ivy crouched down and slowly reached out to Nova, as she was nervous Nova just sat there and waited for her till she was comfortable enough.

When she noticed he waited for her she felt more comfortable and started to pet him.

After a few minute's Ivy started to feel more relaxed and joined her father and brother.

Alex started to tell what happened that day and how their parents actually saved him from death and hid him away.

He also told that Rex and Ivy were his adoptive children and that they were distend cousins of them.

"So Ivy also inherited the 8 stage?" Richard asked Alex.

Alex nodded. "You see most women in our family either die or they will let them seal them self so that they can live out their life's."

"But since you met with your sister Marika and saw she successfully achieved her 8th stage you hope she can help Ivy to reach that too?" Richard asked him.

Alex nodded again.

Richard looked at Ivy and then asked "How many stages did she already achieved?"

"She is at her 3rd stage right now."

"Does she have any problems when she reaches a new stage?"

"No nothing that is abnormal."

"Well since your sister is in The Sun Kingdom we have to wait for her to come back."

Richard told Luca he was heading back and if something came up regarding Ivy's health he should tell him so he will send Genus or Azurite over. He also told Nova to stay here for the time being.

Before he left, he left some recording stones and said to Alex "Since you have been out of Marika's life for so long you can watch these so you get a better picture of how her life was up until now."

Richard said his goodbye and left for Moon Castle.

Then Ivy asked Luca 'Uncle Lucius, who was that man?'

"That was your aunt Marika husband."

'Aunt Marika is married to a king?'

"Well they didn't have a wedding yet, but in their hearts they are married. And I already gave them my blessing and married them already."

'Then why isn't he wearing at least a ring?'

"Because… instead of exchanging rings they exchanged swords."

"That's so cool!" Rex said.

"Well Marika is the type to do something like that." Alex said.

"What your about to watch is how your aunt lived up until now and I just want you guy's to know that what your about to see won't all be pretty and if you have any questions I'll answer what I can and know."

As they were watching all the recordings, they saw Marika beat up Arthur. "When did she do this?" Rex asked.

"She beat him up an hour after she woke up from a 7 day coma and she hadn't awaken a single stage at the time." Luca answered.

He then showed them the second time she beat up Arthur. Rex saw a 5 year old child beat up an adult vampire "Is that child aunt Marika?"

Luca nodded, "I'll explain later to you why she becomes a child now and then."

After that the saw the sparring match of Marika and Richard.

"I heard how strong The Moon King is, how long did she sparred with him?" Alex asked his brother.

"I was told she sparred with him for four and a half hours and she won and she hadn't awakened a single stage at that time."

"How strong is she?" Rex asked.

"Well… if I have to estimate the strength of them both in their second last stage the would rival each other very close."

After that the watch they saw how Marika killed the former King of The Sun Kingdom and his daughter. Alex understood by what she meant that she has permission to kill those doctors and Rex finally understood why the Red Clan princes wouldn't kick a fuss about killing him, they had dethroned him and actually agreed to Marika to take his life.

"During that time Marika had already awakened 3 stage, and when this happened she was close to destroy herself. Genus told me she just awakened 3 stage one after another in mere minutes."

Alex was shocked. "What! That's dangerous…"

"I know, she almost awakened all the way to her 7th stage that day."

"Solis and Caelum helped her to awaken her 6th stage a day later and Genus blocked of her 7th the same day."

The second incident in Ignis was when Marika attract the doctor and awakened her 7th stage. Alex was shocked. "I knew sister was traumatized but I never knew it was this bad."

"Well Azurite had less information but he came up with a treatment plan for her. And she is working to overcome her trauma. But honestly with her personality it will only get better for her if she either kills them or torture them. But for now she trust Genus and his father and Genus student Damion, Me and her own student Azurite."

"So before I show you the worst part of her life, I want you to know this happened 2 years after she left home, and she only recently told us about it."

He then showed Marika's memory of when her magic was stolen. The three of them watch in horror what she went through. And how she was treated after wards.

Ivy who was silent the whole time started to cry. 'How could someone be so cruel to aunt Marika, she doesn't deserve this.'

Luca saw the fear in Ivy's eyes and asked her "Do you fear that your aunt turned in to a cold person and not willing to help you with your awakening?"

Ivy nodded.

"What do you know about music?"

Ivy looked at Luca not understanding what he meant.

"Did you know you can never hid your feelings while playing the piano or violin."

Ivy shook her head.

Luca play one of Marika's violin pieces she written herself, the melody was soothing and warm.

After the piece was done Luca asked her "What did you think?"

'I was warm and filled with a lot of love.'

"This is what your aunt created herself, yes she been through hell but she never lost her kindness and warm heart."

"She does have an iron will, but believe me, she will help you in a heartbeat."

"Now remember, your aunt achieved all her 8 stage, in roughly 3 months' time and with an very unstable body."

"The reason you saw her in a child form is because she only has half of her battle magic and half of her healing magic left in her body. When she suffers a lot of physical or mental stress she turns in to a child, is so her body can coop better."

"She recorded everything there is to achieve your 8th stage, but knowing your aunt she will guide you through it personally."

Luca ruffled Ivy's hair and reassured her that everything will be fine.

'Uncle Lucius…is…is it alright we have a look around this place?'

"Sure go ahead."

Rex and Ivy left the room and started to explore their surroundings while Alex and Luca were catching up.

[Sun Kingdom]

Marika and the others arrived at The Sun Kingdom, Michael told them they would go to the audience room first to meet with the king but that there will be nobles as well.

Marika smiled. 'Aren't you guys smart, this way you can sniff out the last roaches who still believe in the previous king.'

'By the way are those other two roaches also present?'

Michael nodded.

'Good…by the way I meant what I said last time, if your father hasn't improved I will dethrone him and put you 3 on the throne. Now let's go!'

Michael opened the door and everybody was looking at Marika who came in to the room transformed all the way to her 7th stage.

Marika noticed Leo and Levi and three women next to them.

"Queen Yumaria you honor us with your visit. I like to welcome you and hope you have a pleasant stay here in The Sun Kingdom."

'King Luce let me thank you for your hospitality in advance. And let's work on a peaceful future together.' Marika smiled.

Marika looked at Leo and Levi 'Leo, Levi could you come over and bring you mother and sisters?'

When the 5 of them stood in front of Marika they wanted to bow but Marika stopped them.

'Friends don't bow to each other' and she had a warm smile and gave them a hug.

'How have you boy's been? She then asked them.

"We have been well." Levi said to Marika.

'That good to hear' She casted a spell and pulled out a sword and a bow 'This is a little present from me to you guy's for helping me in my little request.'

Leo and Levi thanked Marika and gave her a hug.

Marika then walked over to Rosalyn and Liane and gave them each a hug.

'You girls, I really like your gift's. And since the both of you are a split version of me, Rosalyn what is your weapon of choice?'

'Daggers' Rosalyn answered.

Marika gave her a pair of daggers. 'These two have a special stone in it so they can protect you when it's needed.

Rosalyn looked surprised at Marika 'How did Queen Yumaria know I like weapons?'

'Very easy… the swords you gave me, you made them yourself.' Marika smiled at her.

Rosalyn smiled back at Marika and gave her a hug. 'Thank you Queen Yumaria, I'll cherish these.'

Marika then turned to Liane.

'Liane, thank you for giving me so many precious herbs as a gift. I read in the letter you gather and grown then yourself?'

'That's true Queen Yumaria.'

'Than please take these seed's and raise them well. These are some of the rarest herbs found in The Night World.

Liane smiled at Marika. 'Queen Yumaria thank you for this precious gift.'

Marika turned then to their mother and took her hands 'I'm sorry for taking the life of your husband and daughter.'

The women smiled at Marika and shook her head. 'You have nothing to apologize for child. We all should apologize to you for what my husband and our clans have done to you.'

Marika looked at the women and asked 'Who is poising you?'

The women looked at Marika a little nervous, 'Ahh nobody. I got poisoned in the past but I never really recovered from it.'

Marika then gave her something and whispered 'Take this and you'll be healthy again in a few hours.'

The women gave her a warm hug and smiled at her. 'Thank you for worrying about me, but my health isn't in a bad state.'

Marika waved Michael to come over too.

'Don't think that I have forgotten about you.' And she gave him and him a bow.

'This beauty is similar to what I lend you last time. I hope you like it.'

Michael smiled at her "How would I not like it."

Suddenly a noble started to yell.

"How could you guys be so friendly to the murderer of the late king as he pointed at Marika."

Canus already had reacted to the man who was pointing at Marika and was about to cut of his arm.

'Canus stop!'

"But I promised The Moon King…your husband that I would cut off any man's arm if they so much as point at you." He said in a whining voice.

'I know… but do that outside. We don't want to make this beautiful room dirty. We are guest after all.' Marika smiled.

King Luce then started to speak "Michael would you please show His Highness Canus the way. We don't want to go against the wishes of her husband The Moon King. We should honor it and make sure his wife stay's save and feel welcome here."

Marika at that moment just couldn't believe what she just heard and asked in a whispered to Leo 'Is that wimpy king sick? Or did he eat something strange this morning?'

"No, not that I know of."

Then more nobles started to speak up "Your Majesty aren't you being cruel?"

"How could you honor the wishes of such a cruel man."

"If anything that murderer should be killed for what she has done to the former king."

"SILENCE!" King Luce yelled at everybody.

"Are you even hearing your self's?"

Since the day Queen Yumaria was born she has been targeted by our clans and for what?

"Everybody claimed she would bring destruction to the 3 world?"

"She killed the former King because he tried to kill her and made her suffer for 23 years of her life."

"The former King has himself to blame, because Queen Yumaria only acted this way because she was attacked. And as long as she isn't attacked she won't attack anybody."

"If you want to keep attacking her, blame her, or accuse her go ahead. But do not blame me for your deaths."

"And as I see it, she only wants a peaceful and friendly relations with The Sun Kingdom."

While the majority of the nobles started to calm down, one dared to open up his mouth.

"Those two monsters should just be killed."

Marika started to laugh 'Ahaha, you call us monsters?'

Marika grabbed the man by the throat and pulled him from the ground.

'You call my husband cruel?'

'Mister you have no idea how cruel I can be…my husband is a nice guy compared to me."

And she then let go of him.

'But be my guest and keep this up…because you will be sorry if you do.'

'Leo, Levi would you be so nice and bring that man over to Canus and just tell him he can do whatever he likes to him because he call me and his best friend a monster.'

"Of course Queen Yumaria." Levi answered.

'King Luce let talk tomorrow about that little thing we discussed a few days ago.'

"Of course Queen Yumaria."

"Rosalyn please escort the Queen to her chambers."

"Yes Your Majesty."

As Marika and her brothers left the audience room the nobles started to whisper.

Marika saw the two man from her past and smirked at them viciously.

The two man didn't understand why she did that, much less realizing that Marika was the little girl from back then.

When they arrived at the room she was staying at she invited the 3 women in for some tea and a chat.

They talked about the past and apologized to her again.

'There is no need for that anymore. It's in the past and they got what they deserved.'

'But still…'

Marika then said to the women 'The past is something we can't change, but what we can do is change the future for the better. Instead of dwelling on what has already happened we should look on what we can do from this point onward.'

'But as long as they keep pushing me I will push back and will hit them were it hurts the most.'

'But My Lady since were now in this room I want to know who is poisoning you.'

The women took a breath and told her ever what had happened to her.

Marika listened and got angry at some point during the story.

'Before you were born I was good friends with your mother and aunt. When my husband learned that you were born both colors he wanted to kill you because you were a threat to him in the future.'

'I told him that it was nonsense and that the child was innocent.'

'He then told me that it were your ancestors who stopped the war and warned The Sun Kingdom and The Moon Kingdom that if the balance was been disturbed once again a child will be born of two colors and bring back the balance once more.'

Marika now understood a few things better.

'So I'm not the only victim of this…'

The women nodded.

'Even children in this world and other worlds fell victim, before your birth the last victim was the prince of the black dragon clan. They took him to an place where he would certainly fail his last stage and result in his death.'

'Many years past and then you were born. I was so happy for your parents but at the same time worried for you and your father because I knew my husband greed for power was immense and he knew I would warn your father of the assassination attempt on your life.

The women started to cry.

'On the day of your father's death I heard my husband ordering people to go to the human world and kill you.'

'I confronted him asking if he would have the heart to kill one of his own children if they were double colored.'

'He said even if one of his children were double colored he would kill him or her because they are monsters.'

'He ordered the man to hold me down and he feed me poison so I couldn't warn your father.'

'When I came to my senses I hurried to your father but I was too late.'

'When I arrived he told me to get you and bring you to your grandmother.'

'I ran as fast as I could, and explained to your grandmother what happened. After I dropped you off I went back. Only to find your father at deaths door.'

'He…he… he asked me that if the time comes that his daughter would learn the truth about what happened to him and you wanted to take revenge… if I would be so kind to turn my head the other way?'

'I promised him I would and tell my children to do the same thing.'

'When my husband found out what I did he started to poison me in low dosage over the years. Liane my daughter found out and started to study herbs and medicine in order to extent my life and lessen the discomfort of the poison.'

'The day of my 3rd daughter engagement I wasn't allowed to go. So my husband only took Leo with him.'

'Leo then sended me a picture of you when he saw you and I told him that if his father and sister would attempt anything he should try to stop them by any means possible. And if you decided to kill them he should just walk away.'

Marika stood up and gave the women a warm hug 'Thank you for saving my life and honor my father's last wish.'

'You have suffered a great deal because of me and I'm really sorry for putting you through that.'

'I finally got the meet my guardian angel who allowed me to live.'

'Now please take that pill I gave you and you will be cured from the curse that your husband put on you. Let it mark the ending of his existence and the suffering we had to go through because of him.'

The women took the pill and after a few hours she felt so much better Liana check her mother's condition and even tested a drop of her blood and see if the poison was gone.

'Queen Yumaria what was that medicine you gave my mother? She is completely cured!'

Rosalyn and the women looked completely shocked.

Marika smiled 'Well that's actually thanks to your help, you gave me a blood fire chrysanthemum and those flowers have a very strong detoxifying properties. I added it to an already existing medicine I made.'

Rosalyn and Liane hugged Marika 'Thank you so much for curing our mother how are we ever going to repay you for this?' Marika smiled 'The five of you already did that.'

'You helped me so much by saving my life, by lending me a hand when trouble came knocking on my door and by reaching out to me and reassure me that my actions were justified.'

The women approached Marika 'I know this is but a small gift but you never knew what your birth parents look like, so please accept this.'

Marika received the pendant and looked inside. There she saw a picture of her mother and father and tears came to her eyes.

'Thank you so much.'

The women then said 'You inherited the looks from your mother and your personality from your father.' The women smiled at her.

'It's getting late and you should get some rest.'

Marika nodded and gave the 3 women a hug

'If you ever want to know about your parent's come and visit me whenever you like.'

Marika nodded.

When the women had left Marika laid down on the couch and cried herself to sleep. While holding the pendant with her parent's picture.

Dante and Kevin came in because she was silent for some time now.

At the same time Richard made a call to Dante and asked how she was.

"Well… she had a lot to deal with and two people already fell victim to Canus because on man pointed at her and the other called the both of you monsters."

"After that she had a talk with the daughters and the wife of the late Sun King."

"I guess she heard something and that made her cry."

Kevin came over with the pendant and showed it to Dante.

"I think this the reason that she cried."

Richard saw the pendant and the pictures in it.

"Those two must be her birth parents who she never got to see in her life."

"Let her rest for now and keep an eye on her."

"We will."

[Next day]

Marika was at King Luce office and said she was pleased by what she had witness yesterday.

'So I heard you are very open with your political debates and broadcast it to the common people, is that correct?'

"That's correct…Wait are you planning something to do at the debate?"

Marika smiled. 'Of course I am, but I promise you it won't affect you or the princes negatively.'

'And if you're worried you can always call The Moon King and ask him how good I am at cleaning a castle that's invested with vermin.' Marika smiled.

When she left the room King Luce made a call to Richard.
