1 How it all started

My grandmother used to tell me a story when I was young.

The world was ruled by 2 king's, one ruled from dawn to dusk and was called as the sun king that now is revered to god and angels, the other ruled the world from dusk till dawn and was called the moon king we call now demons and devils.

Times were peaceful for many years… one day god blessed the union of an angel and a human and the blessed couple was also blessed with a child, a little girl soon the happy parent's found that there child had a special ability she had the ability to heal people… but humans are bound to be greedy creatures… the relatives of the girl started to plan a plot where they could take the girl for their own benefit's.

Soon the world fell in to chaos, a war that had broken out between the sun king and the moon king

The little girl lost her parent's and was taken away by her relatives. As the war finally had ended the sun god lost sight of the whereabouts of the child and fell in mourning because he thought the child perished in the war.

Years went by and the child was locked in a dark room at her relative house, she never understood why she had to stay in such a place, but in the deep in the dark room she some time's would get a visit from being that were under the rule of the moon king, they told the girl about the world and the girl who couldn't remember what the world looked like was fascinated.

They offered her the help to escape the deep dark room, they did it because the girl was always nice to them and shared her little bit of food she got every day.

On the day she turned 18 she escaped the room… she was guided by the being's to what humans called the forbidden forest, as she ran away her uncle chased her all the way to the edge of the forest

When the girl entered the forest… her uncle stopped at the edge and yell "come back!!! If you go further only death will await you!!!"

The frightened girl ran and ran until she came to an open spot in the forest with a small lake.

That night the moon was shining so bright and the fire flies were dancing in the air…

Captivated by scene she calmed down and looked around. Then she spotted a man leaning against a tree… he was obvious wounded the girl ran up to the man, as she looked at the wound she ripped a piece of her skirt and try do bandage the wound.

But the man woke up and grabbed her hand... with an angry look on his face he asked

"What are you doing? Who are you?"

The girl was frightened but her friend who helped her escape said.

"Master please… she has no ill will, she escaped a very bad place and I brought her here"

"She was only trying to help you dress your wound".

The man looked at her and calmed down, and then asked the girl again "who are you?"

As the girl answered my name is 'Lilium, what is your name' the man answer

"Sidus... Sidus Lunam"

That night was the fateful night of the two meeting.

Sidus then said "thank you for treating my wounds, in return for you kindness I will take you out of this place and bring you back home".

Hearing these words Lilium eyes grew big in fear and screamed "Please NO"

The man who was shocked at her reaction, he looked at Lilium

Lilium who had hurdled down and clasping her arms around her and was shaking in fear, she whispered "any place is fine but not there."

The man looked a bit confused and looks at the figure who Lilium called her friend.

The boy said "Master please doesn't bring her back she was poorly treated by relatives and she was kept in a dark room where no light existed".

As the man looked at Lilium he said to the boy... "She is not someone of the moon kingdom" She is someone from the human's.

The boy then said "this girl has spent 13 years in the dark… her eyes won't tolerate sunlight anymore

We can't bring her back to the human's she will turn blind and get sick due to the sun."

Sidus thought for a while and then said… "Oke, we'll take her to my castle"

As he knelled down to before the girl who was still shaking in fear he offered his hand and said

"Come with me, I'll take you with me and bring you to your new home".

As time passes the two grew closer and fell in love... they later married and had a child

The boy was named Richard Lunam. 5 year passed by and Lilium wanted to go back to her relative's and letting them know she was still alive and doing fine. Sidus who had a bad feeling about it said 'if that's what you want then we will go at night'.

But tragedy would strike this couple at night…

That night they went to her uncle's house, the man seeing Lillium screamed

"Thanks to you and your escape we were degraded to a sorry stated, how dare you come back!"

Lilium who looked at her uncle with a cold look and said 'out of respect for your sister.. My mother I came here to tell you I'm alive and doing fine and that I'm happy and have a son.'

The man looked at the boy in Sidus arm's and yelled "that basted child is no relative of ours

The man had succumbed to so much anger, he had a knife in his hand and charged ad the boy…

But Lilium saw this and blocked the attack at the cost of her life.

Sidus was struck by utter disbelieve of what had happened… and spilling a murders aura.

He put his son down and the boy ran to his mother who was lying down on the ground

They boy cried and pleaded she wake up and go home together…

With the last few breaths that where left in Lilium she said to her son, 'you're the world to me.'

'Even if you can't see me I'll always watch over you… Listen to your father and grow to be a strong , happy and healthy man.. Please don't grow resentment to humans there are also good people in this world.'

Then she looked at her husband.. 'I was so lucky to meet you in my life, please raise and protect our child, I have no regrets… I love you'

*Beep* *beep* *beep*

The sound of an alarm went through the bed room.

The girl picked up her phone and turned off her alarm clock. Wat a strange dream…

As she looked at the time it was 3.45 am in the morning. She had an early morning shift at work and worked very late last night, 'only 3 hour of sleep' she got up and went to the bathroom to brush her teat and wash her face, while doing that she heard a meowing and scratching sound.

She smiled and called down, I'm coming just let me get dressed. When she went down stairs and opens the living room door… there was a cat sitting and looking at the girl, meowing to her as a greeting. The girl smiled at the cat and said good morning to you to Chase.

As she turned on the coffee machine she fed the cat and made some breakfast.

When she was done preparing she turned on the television and was watching the news

The news reporter read the news she look up because something picked her interest

"Due to heavy storm that past last night several bridges have being damage, also the water under the bridges is rough, it's advised to slow your speed when crossing the bridge"

The girl thought 'well how slow do I need to go when I'm on the bike' and laughed a little.

As she packed up her backpack she petted her cat that was sleeping on the sofa and said

"Chase! Mr. Harry will come and feed you tonight, because I have a double shift today…

I'll see you when I get home and don't trouble Mr. Harry too much.

Mr. Harry was her neighbor, an elderly man mid 60'se and was like a father to her.

As she went out she left a note at her neighbor's door and got on her bike.

The road she had to take to work was pretty dark… it had some street's light but not many.

Her work place was at the outskirts of the city and it was only a 20 minutes for her on her bike.

She loved to go to her work because of her coworkers. They were like a big group of friend's to her and so the heave work wasn't all that bad.

When she was at the foot of the bridge, suddenly the girl felt a cold chill.

She shrugged it off as the weather was cold and it was still winter.

When she was half way on the bridge suddenly a car that had lost control drove straight towards her. All that came to her mind was sh*t… as she knew she couldn't evade the coming car she look there her right and jumped of her bike. She always made sure she was close to the railing of the bridge so she could jump in the water if needed.

As she fell down to the water she could quickly see how her bike was pinned between the car and the railing of the bridge.

A loud splashing sound could be heard.

As the girl was in the rough water she tried her very hardest to swim to shore but the water current was so strong. Instead of exhausting herself, she let herself float with the current. She told her self

"Don't panic, if I panic now my situation can only get worse, and it's still dark outside"

Luckily she still had her backpack on her shoulders so it acted as a life jacket so she the changes of drowning would be slimmer. But there was a lot of debris in the water that hit her from time to time.

As she floated down the river she wondered how much time has passed, suddenly she heard a faint sound… She looked around and but due to that it was still dark she could not see much.

Because she was in the water and it was still winter she thought due to too cold exposer she must be hearing things. She thought hyperthermia was kicking in.

But then she hears it again… 'Sniff, sniff pleas someone help me, I'm scared'

The girl yelled almost at the top of her voice "You make a loud noise or scream the word help as loud as you can, so I can find your location!"

Only 3 second's went by but felt to her as if 3 minutes had past and then she heard the voice loud and clear 'PLEASE HELP ME!'

The girl looked back and saw a tree trunk coming her way, there was a boy on it not much older ten 10 years. Suddenly the girl pop up next to the tree trunk and frightened the boy a little.

"Hi there", she said with a smile on her face 'I won't ask how you got in this mess but I have to ask you the get of this trunk'. The boy look at her confused, but the girl said 'if you don't get off and hold on to me you will crash in a big rock up ahead.' Al thought she could not see much in the dark her hearing was very good so she could make out sound's that happens around her.

The boy who was frightened said 'I'm scared.'

The girl said then 'I'm a good swimmer and you can hold on to my backpack so nothing will happen to you, oké!? I'll make sure of that.'

As she looked up ahead she notices that they were out of time. She grabbed the boy 'sorry but were out of time' she flung the boy on to her back pushed herself with all her strength away from tree trunk. A moment later the tree hit the rock and split in to. The boy's eyes were big out of fear and shock. The girl said 'your save now... a little wet but not hurt. The young boy started to cry softly.

The girl started to notice that the water current was calming down. She looked around if she could find a good place to swim to shore. Suddenly the boy yells 'I see the lights of a house burning' the girl fallowed the direction where the boy was pointing at. And then she said 'alright hold tight I'm going to swim to shore' while swimming she felt pain in her whole body, thinking this is bad.

As they reached the shore she was totally exhausted. She and the boy walk all the way up to a tree line. The girl set down to try and catch her breath. The boy looked around and noticed he knew the place where they were. The boy then said 'my uncle works at the mansion up ahead, I'll get him here to come and help you'.

The girl knew that by the time someone came here could help her she would probably be dead. She didn't show it to the boy but she knew she was banged up so badly that she wouldn't have long anyway.

With a smile on her face and a rasping voice she said 'oké… I'll wait here then… but promise me one thing… take a nice hot bad when your there, I don't want you to catch a cold.

The boy smiled and nodded, 'stay here and my uncle will be here in a few minutes' the boy said.

Then the boy ran as fast as he could to the mansion.

Slowly the girl closed her eyes because she was exhausted from the whole ordeal and drifted off…

The boy had reached the mansion and flung open the door's and yelled with panic in his voice,

'uncle!, uncle!, uncle!.' A young man appeared in front of the boy and asked 'little Kevin what is wrong?'

The boy looked up and asked the young man ' where is my uncle?'

As he replied ' you're should be on the third floor study room with the master'.

As soon as Kevin heard his answer he ran up to the third floor. The young man looked a little worried, but decided that to let it be and went to the second floor music room.

Kevin reached the third floor study room and opened the door in a panic he yelled 'uncle please I need your help, there is a girl that need help, she save me, please uncle help me!"

The two men in the room looked up and looked at the panic boy. "Kevin haven't I thought you no matter the situation, never barge in the master's room and always be calm"

The other man than said 'Derick don't be so harsh to a young boy, look at him he is soaking wet and scared out of his wits' the man than asked 'Kevin what happened to you'

Kevin started to sum up what had happened to him. 'I understand, Derick take little Kevin don stairs and let him take a warm bath and get him some dry cloth's' as where Derick replied 'yes master'

As the man walked out of the room Kevin said 'when I left her she was sitting under the big old pine tree' the man thanked the boy and left the room.

The boy than shouted, 'Thank you master!' The boy than asked his uncle 'will she be alright? She looked like she was in a bad shape when I left her under the tree'

Derick looked at the boy with a solemn look and said 'if she is dying than master can help her to become like one of us… that is… if she wants to be like us.'

Kevin looked sadden, but he knew there was nothing he could do now.

Derick the said 'now take a bath, didn't you promised that miss to take a warm bath and not to catch a cold.' Kevin nodded and went to the bath room.

Derick was thinking "I hope this miss will decide to come to the mansion, it will be a good thing for master."

As the girl was unconscious, she saw her grandmother.

She broke down and started to cry "I'm sorry grandma, I couldn't find the person.' maybe I can meet him in the next life.'

Than her grandmother said 'my dear child, this is not the end of your journey, your just need to choose whether you want to live no matter what the cost or give up and accept. But knowing you my dear.. your head strong and don't like to give up. So go back and fight to survive the person you suppose to meet, you'll meet him soon. This not the place for you to be hears yet so go now.'

The girl smiled sadly and nodded her head ' Thank you grandma, I'll do whatever to live and meet him. Goodbye grandma and thank you for raising me and loving me' A tear fell from the girl's eyes.

Soon she woke up and looked around. Thinking how much time has passed… it was still dark, what she thought was strange… it should be light by now, there should be at least a few hours have passed since the accident.

Suddenly something caught her eye, she picked it up and looked at it. I was a beautiful ring, the ring band was made of silver and it had a blue azure collard stone on it. Her vision was getting blurry but by the way it felt in her hand she knew it was a ring for a man. She put the ring in her pocket, maybe she could find the owner of the ring if she survived and was all recovered… but she knew better than that… death was something that was inevitable .

Suddenly she heard the sound of a twig snapping, she called out in a still raspy voice 'who is there?'

She still couldn't see very clearly but she could make out that it was a man who was approaching her.

The man than ask 'how are you feeling'? are you alright?"

The girl than replied ' Well do I look alright to you? I'm dying so I feel horrible every part of by body hurt's.'

The man then smiled and said "your right and you don't have much time left either"

The girl than said ' depending on if I waist energy I can hold out for at least an hour and a half if I don't waste any energy, but only 45 minutes or less if I waist my energy.'

The man looked solemn at the girl and then asked "Do you not fear death?"

Where the girl than answered 'I don't fear death but I don't want to be alone when I die. But I just promised my grandma that I would live no matter what the cost was.'

'Mister could you come a bit closer and give me your hand? I can't see very well at the moment, my vision is pretty blurry.' The man crouched down and stretched his hand out. At the same time the girl took the ring from her pocked and put it in his hand. The girl than said 'can I ask you for two favors?' the man looked at her and said "sure."

'My fist favor is if you can find the owner of this ring? And the second favor is could you stay with me till I breathe my last breath?'

The man than said "your fist favor I already granted that, the owner already received his ring"

The girl looked confused but took his word for it.

"And for your second favor, sure I'll stay with you, how can I let a girl stay alone in her last hour"

Then the man sad down next to the girl.

The girl smiled thankful. The both of them stayed silent for a few minutes as if they both didn't need word to understand each other.

Then the girl start to talk about her dreams and that she always wanted to do in life and what she had done in life. And the man just sat there and listens to the girl. As she felt that she had only a few moments left she was overtaken by all kinds of emotions. 'I don't want to die yet as she cried, want to live no matter what… But I feel that even if I get another 100 years it would not be enough.

The man than asked in a calm and reassuring voice

"Even if you have to turn in to a being that is not human... would you accept that way of living?"

The girl than said in a voice that was slowly fading 'If it's the only way to stay by your side than I'm fine with it. Ahh how it would have be nice if we met when I was still alive. Let have a cup of coffee if we meet again and then I'll listen to your stories.'

She then picked up the man's hand and placed a kiss on it 'thank you for staying with me till the end. Let's meet again in the next life.'

The man look silently at the girl, but suddenly felt like he was about to lose someone important and asked "what is your name?" as the girl whispered with her last bit of strength 'Marika…'

The man look a little saddened, and pick up the girl and held her in his arm's, as he placed a kiss on her lips he whispered "I shall grand you this wish."

[7 days later]

At the back of the mansion there was a kitchen, at the table was the little boy Kevin was having a sandwich, after he was don eating he ask his uncle "will she wake up today? It's being a week since

master brought her back. "

Then his uncle Derick answered "You have to be patient, her body was in a very bad shape when she came in, her body need's time to heal up"

As Kevin looked a bit gloomy he said " I want her to wake up soon, so I can thank her for saving me."

Derick smiled and said "why don't you go visit her today and talk to her or read her a story, I think she enjoys your company and maybe will wakes- up faster if you show her that you your worry for her health. But before you go to her room go outside and pick some flower's she'll probably would like some soothing smell when she wakes-up, it can help her to stay calm in this unfamiliar environment. "

Kevin stood up from the table with a book in his hands, and walk outside to pick some flowers from the garden.

From the window of the third floor the master of the mansion was looking and the boy and chucked

"He is going to visit Marika today, don't worry she'll wake up very soon" he said with a smile on his face.

The man standing by the window watching the boy would check on her late at night when nobody was around, to look if her condition was improving and nursed her body and made sure that everything was comfortable, so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable when she wakes-up

*Knock* *knock* *knock*

The man answered with a flat voice "come in." Derick entered the room with a food trolley, on the trolley there was a pot of tea and a few sandwiches. "I brought you your lunch master."

"Just put it down on the coffee table." When Derick was preparing the table, the man who was still looking out the window and saw that little Kevin was heading do the west side of the mansion, the man than spoke "Kevin is going to visit Marika again?" Where Derick answered "yes master, today he is going to read her a book and bring some flowers to help soothe the air in the room."

The man then asks "how would you describe Kevin's few of Marika?" Derick was silent for a second and then said "I think he sees her as his life savior… An older sister would be more accurate.

The man than turned around and smiled "that's good"

Derick was a bit baffled by his master's word… "Could it be… but how and when did this happen he thought" Derick has never seen his master going up to west wing of the mansion. But a light smile of relieve appeared on Derick's face. This girl will change our master for the better is what Derick thought.

[West wing of the mansion]

Little Kevin knocked 3 time's at the door, knowing he would not get any response he still did it out of curtsy, and would not be rude to barge in, for all he knew she had woken up and didn't want to scare her. He waited a few second's and the entered the room. The room looks very light; it had light colors, like it was spring inside the room.

Kevin walks up to the chair that was standing next to Marika's bed. He replaces the old vase with flowers for new ones and then sat down on the chair. He started to talk to her for a little bit and then open his book and started to read her a story.

Suddenly the boy stopped ready because he thought he heard a sound coming from Marika. As the boy looked up he saw Marika's finger move. He the stood up from the chair and grabbed Marika's hand "miss can you hear me? Your safe now! Marika who heard the voice of a boy slowly started to open up her eyes. The boy then said "stay here I'll get someone to help you!" Just as he said the boy ran out of the room slightly panicked but happy none the less.

Marika was slowly opening her eyes and was focusing on her vision… the blurriness subsides after a few minutes and she looked around the room. Then she saw the book little Kevin was reading to her. She flip through the pages, and was wondering who was reading to her.

The girl was a bit confused, where was she? She was sure she was dying, but did she die? Was this the afterlife? She slowly started to mover arms and legs, she didn't feel any pain.

As she didn't know clearly what happened after she thanked the man who sat with her, everything was blurry. As she was sitting at the edge on the bed side she tried to stand up but she fell down even quicker. 'Uhmm how long have I being on this bed? My muscles are al soft and numb.

She started to pull herself up again, 'I need to slow down I guess'. As she was standing for a few minutes she slowly started to put one foot forward while holding on to anything, she then slowly but surely her steps were getting steady.

[The third floor study room]

When Kevin reached the study room he suddenly remembered what is uncle told him. "No matter the emergency never barge in the room and stay calm at all times."

Kevin then knocked on the door 3 time's and waited for a replayed to enter the room.

A man voice relayed "you can come in." Kevin opened the door and walked in slowly. He then said

"Uncle I need your help" Derick looked at the boy and asked "are you done with your visit already?"

Kevin nodded.

But the master already saw what was going on in Kevin's eye's, his eye's showed slight panic but also relieve and excitement. The man then said "Derick go help your nephew"

The master of the house at already figured out that the girl had woken up from her sleep. But somewhere he also felt a little concerned that she maybe be confused or stared to wonder around the mention… if she did the latter she would bump in to the other residents of the mansion, and even worse they would frighten her in running away.

After Derick and Kevin left the room, the man sighted a sigh of relieve and mumbled to himself "you finally woke up from your slumber, how you have worried me for the past seven days."

The man stood up from his desk and went out of the study room to get some rest. He was a little tired so he went to the library on the same floor. He would always go there when he wanted to relax or just take a short nap.

[West wing of the mansion]

Marika was finally stable to walking again. She slow but steady walk to the other side of the room where there was a large from floor to ceiling window, there were two doors in it and notice they weren't locked. She open up the doors and inhaled the fresh air. She stepped out of the room and closed the doors behind her. Outside it wasn't bright, more like dawn or dusk.

As she carefully walked out side of the building she kept looking around. She noticed a little flower garden. The flower's that where growing there looked like the ones in her room but they looked different from flowers she knew of. She walked up to the flowerbed and took a close look, they looked like roses but not quit more like a cross breed between a rose and a lily. And the color was black with a hint or red. As she looked at them she notice someone was looking at her.

She looked around but didn't see anybody than she started to look up at all the windows of the building but there was nobody ether. Marika shrugged the feeling of because she did wake up not long ago and all her senses were on high alert. She turned her attention back to the flowers and touched them, they felt like touching silk and the smell was sweet. As she whispered 'so beautiful.'

At the same time Derick and Kevin reached the room Marika was supposed to rest in. Derick knocks on the door 3 time's but got no response but as he opened the door he said "excuse my rudeness miss" but as soon as the door was open he found the room empty.

Then Derick told Kevin "She is not in her room"

Kevin's face was slowly getting white, but Derick then flowed up "Go check if she maybe wondered in to the kitchen, maybe she got hungry after sleeping for so long"

Kevin nodded and walk calmly as to not arouse any curiosity of the other resident's.

Then Derick notice the curtains were drawn. "She probably went outside" Derick went through the window doors to look around.

Derick notice footsteps in the grass and fallow them till he saw Marika crouched down looking at the flowers. Derick sighted in relieve, she didn't go far. He decided he will keep an eye on her from a distance. He was already surprised that this girl who has just woken up had already sensed his presence from quit a distance and could walk this steady after being bedridden for 7 days, not only that but her injuries were so bad she should be dead.

Marika stood up again and walked to the front of the building, and Derick fallowed her closely, so he could intervene if she got in trouble.

Marika enter through the front door and slowly walked in and found a big entrance hall, the entrance hall was wide and specious, it looked like it was the size of a double living room. The hall had a sofa and a coffee table and two chairs. Across from the door was a big staircase. Ash she took in her surroundings she walked toward the staircase, she admired it look like the rail was made out of oak wood and was well maintained. But before she had put one step on the stairs she heard a voice from behind.

"Well, well what have we here? Looks like we have a lost little lamb!"

Marika turned around and saw two young men standing behind her. She estimated they were not much older than her. As she was not interest in the men she wanted to turn around and walk up the stairs. But one of the young men grab her by the arm. "Where do you think you're going little lamb?"

Marika looked at the guy who was holding her arm tight that it hurt but she didn't flinch.

She politely said 'would you please let go of my arm before you leave a mark and before I'll kick your sorry *ss.'

The young man then just laughed "ahahaha, you a weak little thing could do anything to me a vampire?"

Marika looked at the man from head to toe, the young man was slightly taller than her, and he had silver white hair and deep ruby red eyes.

The other young man who was standing a few meters away said "Arthur stop that, she could be a guest that is here for master. Do you really want to anger the master?"

Arthur who got annoyed yelled "Dante you just shut up, master is not here, and so what… are you going to tattle on me?"

Marika saw Dante's dejected face, and got annoyed herself.

From a dark corner Derick was watching Marika, as he wanted to walk over to her, he suddenly noticed a small glow in her eyes. Derick whispered a spell that could make telepathic contact with any person they want to. When Derick finished his spell he sent a telepathic message to his master.

He informed what was going on and what he just saw. The man listen to the whole story and said "interesting, keep an eye on her but don't interfere only when it deemed absolutely necessary."

Derick then replayed "yes master." Derick then ended the spell and kept an close eye on what was happening. But what he heard and saw next, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Marika yanked her arm loos from Arthur's grip and said 'ohh so you're a vampire?! Prove it then.

Dante who knew Arthur temper the best ask Marika not to provoke him. But Arthur butted in and said "so you want proof"

Marika was totally unfazed by Arthur and just stood her ground. She said 'yes, can you show me proof that you're a vampire, if you don't show it how can I even believe what you say is true. For all I know you are just lying to me and scare me for no good reason.'

Arthur smiled and walk up to Marika slowly, his eyes started to glow "do you know vampires have the ability to seduce and hypnotize people so they can drink there blood. Nobody is immune to this our ability. As Marika was still standing in the same place, just playing along with Arthur trick. When Arthur was standing behind her, he whispers in Marika's ear "I wonder if your blood taste just as sweet as that temper of yours."

Again Marika didn't flinch, as Arthur remove a lock of hair from her neck.

Just as Arthur was ready to bite in to Marika's neck he was suddenly stopped by one finger of Marika.

She then move so quick that Arthur couldn't even process what was going on, and he was already thrown a cross the room.

Everybody in the room was in total shock; they just couldn't believe what just happened. Dante recovered fast and looked at Marika admirable. She is so strong, and doesn't even fear Arthur; on top of that she just flung him across the room.

Marika who just turn around to go upstairs felt a killer intent. Then Dante yelled "watch out! "

But again for the people who were watching everything went so fast they could hardly see how she blocked Arthur's charge attack. She grabbed Arthur's arm and flung him to the ground with full force.

She pinned him down and opens his mouth; she saw a pair of k nine teeth.

'Oh so you are indeed a vampire. But you could have just showed me your teeth. There was no reason to bite me, to prove you're a vampire. And I thought vampires supposed to be very strong!? But it seems there not.'

Arthur could not even speak a word. He was utterly speechless. He just got beaten by a women and a young girl at that. His pride was totally destroyed.

She then let go of Arthur and walked up to Dante.

'Hi I'm Marika, if this guy give's you trouble just tell me, I'll beat him up anytime.'

Dante was standing in a daze, snapped back to reality

"Please will you teach me?" he asked.

Marika looked a bit dumbfounded by his question.

'How old are you?' she then asked Dante.

"I forgot to introduce, my name is Dante… Dante Imperium… and I'm 21 years old."

Marika looked at Dante from head to toe, the young man that was standing before her had a rare hear color it looked like chestnut red she thought 'well his physical build isn't that bad maybe some slight muscle and some stamina training fist'

As she was done observing she asked 'what are you? A vampire? Or maybe a werewolf?'

"Are you not afraid?" Dante then asked.

Marika looked at Dante and started to laugh, 'I'm not scared, besides I just beat up a vampire.' With a big smile on her face.

"I'm a Half-ling" Dante then said in a dejected voice. "Half human, half vampire."

'So you're a Dhampir, well where I'm from according to our legends and myth's Dhampirs are supposed to be just as strong vampires or sometimes even stronger than pure blooded vampires. But when a Dhampir was found by humans they would train them and make them become what we call vampire hunters.'

'Oké I'll train you, but you have to promise me one thing. Never use this training to start a fight, only to defend yourself in a fight.'

Dante had a thankful look on his face and nodded.

'And when I'm done with my business I'll come and get you for training, and starting of today, Dante you'll be my brother.'

Suddenly a voice yelled "Whaaattttt!!!!!!"

Marika looked behind her and saw an angry Arthur. She herself looked at Arthur agitated.

'What? Why can't I? You're just a weakling that doesn't even have a say in anything, because you don't own Dante. Besides it's not that I'm forcing him, if he doesn't want to be my brother that's fine by me, we can be friends if he like's that better.'

Arthur than roared "You… you… you… you can't touch my things or take it away from me!"

After hearing that a murders look flared up in Marika's eyes. Before Dante or Derick could understand what happened or even try to stop what was happening it was already too late.

Marika had already grabbed Arthur by the throat and pinned against the wall.

As Marika had Arthur pinned against the wall she than said in a fierce voice

'Dante is not an object or a belonging, he is a person who has emotion and his own thought process. If you think he is your belonging or even lift a finger to hurt him, I'll promise you this I'm going to do to you will not be pretty and you just wish that you never have offended me in the first place. Because hurting my family or friends is the last thing you'll ever do! You got that?'

Arthur broke down in a cold sweat and his eyes were big out of fear, he couldn't bear the murder's aura from Marika anymore.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I, I won't do anything to you or anybody who is your friend or family. I, I, I was wrong for saying that Dante was my belonging."

Marika smile mischievous and let go of Arthur who then dropped to the ground. She then turned around and went to the staircase and said to Dante, don't forget I'll come for you tomorrow to start your training so have a good rest, eat a good meal and a nutritious breakfast.

When Marika was out of sight Derick came out of the shadow, he walked up to Arthur, and kneeled down "Are you alright young master Arthur?"

When Arthur saw Derick he asked angered "Why didn't you stop her? Who is that women?"

Derick replied "She was brought back by master himself a week ago, and I was told not to intervene unless it was really necessary."

Arthur was getting even more furious "Only when it is necessary, she almost killed me!"

"But that because you provoke her first" Dante then said.

Derick observe the bruise on Arthur's throat "She is quite strong for someone who only woke up just an hour ago. I'll have to report this to master."

Dante and Arthur had a stupefied look on their face.

Then Arthur said "Hold one she was a sleep for 7 days and she just woke up?"

Derick nodded and asked Dante to take Arthur to the infirmary in the west wing of the mansion to use some fist aid for all of Arthurs wound's.

Because Derick was supposed to keep an eye on Marika he casted a recording spell. It was a wise decision because it would be very hard for him to just explain on what happened.

There were only 2 people the girl could encounter for now, and that were Kevin and Noah. Both of them were no threat and wouldn't attack her in the slightest. The 4th resident was still out and he was a clam person in and on himself. As Derick had already assess there were no potential threats in the house he walk to the east wing of the mansion to take the stairs up to the 3rd so he could avoid encountering Marika. Not because he was afraid, but because he wanted a clean and formally introduce himself and want to leave a good impression of himself.

Marika had already reached the second floor and sat down on the top of the stairs, she felt a little tired, and she thought it was because of the fight she was just in. So she decided to take a short rest. She closed her eyes for a few second. And got that feeling again, the feeling that someone was calling for her. She felt that way ever since she walk in through the front door of the mansion.

When she opened her eyes she heard a piano. As she listened to the sound of the piano she could feel that the song was calming but filled with love. When the melody stopped she stood up again but lost her balance and felt against a person who she then knocked over.

She eminently apologized 'I'm so sorry I lost my balance.' When she was looking on who she knock over she saw a boy not much older 10 years old. Her eyes widened and said 'it's you! You're the boy from that day at the river, I'm so glad you're oké. You didn't catch a cold did you?'

The boy who was also surprised, look at the girl with watery eyes and jumped in to her and hugged her. He was crying his heart out. "You finally woke up, sniff, sniff I was so worried. I was afraid you wouldn't wake up at all!"

The girl was a little taken aback by the boy, but she soothed him and told him 'I'm fine now and it's all thanks to you' she said in a calm and gentle voice.

After a few minutes the boy calmed down a bit and looked at the girl and asked "what is your name?"

The girl answer him 'my name is Marika, and what is your name?'

The boy than answer "my name is Kevin."

The girl than smiled and said 'it suites you very much'

Kevin's face looked as he didn't understand her, and she then told him the meaning of his name.

'Where I'm from the meaning of your name is "kind, gentle, and handsome". It fit's you perfectly'

Kevin then smiled brightly and Marika had a warm smile on her face.

As Derick also had reached the second floor in the east wing. He spotted Kevin and Marika at the end of the hall way. They were talking and laughing together. Seeing his nephew being like this he felt relieve. It seems Kevin was slowly opening up. He normally fear's new people no matter the gender.

He thought the day that girl saved Kevin was the day she took down a wall in Kevin's heart.

As Derick was about to turn around an agitate voice came in the hallway. "What's with all this ruckus?" Derick decides to hang around to look how she would handle this situation. He started the recording spell so he could show it to master later.

Little Kevin froze up after hearing an agitated voice. Marika picked up on this and stood up and formed a wall before Kevin. She then whispered to Kevin

'Watch me how to deal with these type of people. It's very easy.'

Kevin nodded.

'We are so sorry for making a ruckus but I got to meet my little brother here, because it has being days since I saved him from the river and I was worried that he got sick. But when I saw he was unharmed and safe I got over excited.'

The man looked at Marika with a suspicious look and said "I know for a fact Kevin doesn't have a sister, because he is the nephew of the butler here."

'And what makes you say that, firstly there is a possibility I was never mentioned because it's something irrelevant to the people here. But did you even have a thought that although I'm not his biological sister, it doesn't mean that I can't become his sister.'

The man looked at the girl with a stupefied look on his face. And Marika winked at Kevin.

Kevin then smiled and then asked Mariska "can I really be your little brother?"

'Sure you can, I really like you and I always wanted a little brother.'

The man that was standing in front of the girl than said "I apologize for my behavior just now"

He could sense a bit of hostility coming from her so to prevent from thing getting out of hand he backed down.

She then said 'apology accepted. But can I ask you something? Was it you sir who was playing the piano?'

The man replied "yes that was me"

'It was a beautiful melody; it had love in it, but was also calming. Does this piece have a name?'

"It doesn't have a name yet."

'How about Serenity?'

The man looked in surprised at the girl. He thought it was a good name.

She understood the essence of the song she only heard once. While he did write it himself he was stuck on the name for this piece. He asked her "do you play the piano also?"

The girl shook her head 'no… I used to play the violin. But I always wanted to also learn to play the piano.' She then said solemnly 'but I never got the chance or time.'

"There is a music room up on the 3rd floor, it directly above the one on the this floor, there should be a violin there. Could you play it for me some time?" the man asked.

"And as a thank you for the name of my piece of music I'll teach you to play the piano" as he smiled.

The girl's eyes lit up 'really??? That would be great… Thank you so, so much Mr….

"Noah… Noah Cantor."

'Thank you Mr. Cantor'

Noah than turned around and went back to the music room. Then Marika turned around and looked at Kevin. Kevin was aw stuck "sister could you please teach me how to be strong to?"

'Sure! If you want to become strong I can teach you, but don't be impatient becoming strong, it take's time.' As she petted Kevin's head. 'But Kevin? When did I become you sister? I only said it so Mr. Cantor wouldn't become angry.'

Kevin smile and said "I decided you became my sister as of today! Can't you?"

'Sure if you like to have an older sister like me, I won't object. Because I like you and won't mind having a little brother like you.' As she smiled when she said it.

Derick who was happy that his nephew has found someone he could look up to and open up to, left for the third floor. Because he knew it wouldn't take much more time before she reach master who was currently in the library.

Then Kevin ask Marika "sister why are you here? Are you looking for something or someone?"

Marika told Kevin she had a feeling that someone was calling her to come to the 3rd floor.

Kevin was thinking deeply and told her that it could be master; he had the ability to do something like that. Marika wasn't all that surprised anyway since she already wiped the floor with a vampire anyway, she laughed at the thought of what she did to Arthur. Kevin looked at her questioning.

Marika than ruffled Kevin's hear and said 'I'll tell you about it tomorrow.' Then she thought of what she saw it wasn't dark outside but also not bright. She then asked 'Kevin what time is it now'

Kevin answered "it's almost noon."

'Alright I'll go to the 3rd floor now and meet the master of this mansion, I'll see you later little brother.'

Kevin smiled happily and nodded.
