The Wisp

As he entered his room, he collapsed onto his bed, exhausted from the hunt. His mind was still reeling from the encounter with the strange creature in the forest. He couldn't help but wonder what it was and why it had such an effect on him.

He closed his eyes, intending to rest for a while, but soon found himself drifting off to sleep. In his dreams, he saw a vision of the creature he had encountered earlier. It was a majestic beast with shimmering scales and glowing eyes that seemed to pierce through his soul.

As he watched the creature in his dream, he suddenly felt a surge of energy coursing through his body. It was as if the creature was imbuing him with its powers. When he woke up, he felt different and strange.

As Alex lay down on his bed, he placed a hand on his chest and felt a strange sensation emanating from within. It was as if something was stirring within him, something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

He closed his eyes and focused his attention on the feeling, trying to discern its nature. It was like a pulsing energy, growing stronger with each passing moment. As he delved deeper into the sensation, he began to see images flashing before his mind's eye.

Alex's eyes widened as he watched the letters and numbers floating in front of him. He felt a strange sensation in his chest, as if something was trying to communicate with him. The letters and numbers began to move and shift, forming different shapes and symbols that he couldn't quite understand.

Suddenly, he heard a voice in his head—a soft and gentle voice that seemed to come from deep within him. "Greetings, Kyle," the voice said. It is coming from a crystal that seems to be inside his chest. The voice sounds familiar to him, like the voice of his scientist friend, who experimented with the transference of his consciousness into the digital world.

The voice of Kyle's scientist friend confirmed his suspicion, explaining that he had successfully transferred his consciousness into a digital entity, which also resulted in his being sent to this world in a wisp form that can enter the minds of different creatures. However, he had not expected to come across Kyle in this world.

The wisp explained that he was inside the creature, as he sees Kyle and recognizes him even though his appearance is different. He then went inside Kyle's brain and found out the truth about his situation.

The wisp explained to Kyle that he could help him become stronger and unlock more of his magical potential. Kyle was skeptical but also intrigued. "What will I call you now?" probed Kyle

"If you are testing me to see if I really am your friend, yes, you can still call me by my name, Darvis," the wisp replied, annoyed at his friend for not trusting him.

"Sorry if I am suspicious, this is really hard to take in immediately. For months I have been here and nobody really knows me. Now all of a sudden you are here, without a body but a form of energy or something," blurted Kyle in his defense.

"Really? After being here in a magical world and seeing impossible things that only exist in fairy tales and science fiction, are you still shocked at my appearance?" countered Darvis with sarcasm.

"Ok, I got it. Now what were you telling me earlier that you could help me get stronger?" Alex changed the direction of their conversation to avoid any dispute.

"Hah! After you hurt my feelings, you still want me to help you?" teased Darvis.

"Come on, I didn't mean it. You saw my mind; you know what I have been through. You should understand," Alex complained.

Darvis began to tell Kyle his story: how he was once a brilliant scientist working on a project that involved transferring human consciousness into the digital realm. However, things went wrong during one of his experiments, and his own consciousness was somehow transported into the magical realm.

At first, Darvis was disoriented and lost, unable to understand what had happened to him. But he soon realized that he had been transformed into a wisp, a magical creature that was imbued with immense power. As a wisp, he could access the magical energies of the world in a way that no mortal could.

With his newfound abilities, Darvis began to explore the magical realm, learning its secrets and studying its ancient lore. He discovered that there were countless others like him—magical creatures and beings of all kinds, each with their own unique abilities and powers.

"Well, I accept your apology," the wisp says in a playful tone. "Now let me explain. As an energy entity, I have some abilities that were related to my intelligence and knowledge when I was still human. I can convert your physical, biological, and spiritual capacities into digital data. That's what you saw earlier when you woke up. I was looking at your physical and magical abilities and making a statistical analysis of your character."

"Just like in a video game? Can you do that?" exclaimed Alex.

"Yes. Would you like to see it?" Darvis proudly asked.
