1 Meeting the Eden Sister's

Hello, my name is Lee, I’m a gender-fluid non-binary person aged 23. It is currently January, and I am about to start my new job. I’m chubby-ish but I dress well. At least so I am told. I’m sure you’re wondering if I have a penis or vagina. I have a vagina but I’m only telling you because it is something to remember.

The first two weeks of the new job included just training and induction. I’m a lab assistant so I won’t get too much into specifics. There was a lot of information being thrown toward me, but I was confident. I met a few interesting people during my first few days and am slowly getting to know them better.

It has been a month since I started this job and I’m enjoying it so much. The people at this facility are amazing but most of all I think I like the Eden sisters, Melanie, and Marie. They have an older sister named Margarette, but they just call her Grettie. I have made some good friends a cis female named Hope she is my closest friend. The other day it was so cold I lent her my jacket so she could keep warm. Mela didn’t like that I was without a jacket but in the end she understood. I guess I am nice to people, I’m just glad that the people I work with don’t take advantage of my kindness. They are all friendly to me but there seem to be many issues within the lab facility, but it doesn’t bother me, so I don’t gossip about it.

I have major depressive disorder, so I want to start going to the gym a lot to lose some of the weight and gain confidence. I have started going to the gym now with the Eden sisters, every day I’m working out different parts of my body, but I focus a lot on my core because it is the most difficult to lose. Mela has been having some troubles with her boyfriend these past weeks, she keeps comparing him to me for some reason. It seems he can’t meet her new standards, I’m just glad that she’s not settling in a relationship she’s unhappy with, she’s making some changes. Marie is single, again. Her standards don’t really make sense, but I guess she will meet the guy that will make her happy. Hope and I are getting along very well, she’s my best friend in a new city. I still talk to my other friends, but she is here when things happen so it’s easier to become close and talk.

It has been two months since Mela and her boyfriend broke up, she’s taking it a lot better than I expected. It's halfway through the year now (Jun) and Marie is once again newly single. In terms of gym, I have lost some weight and gained quite a bit of definition muscle wise. We had an altercation at the gym where this guy just wouldn’t leave Mela alone and even followed us to the parking lot, I was glad that I was there because I was able to chase him away. We reported the incident to the gym staff, and we haven’t seen him since.

I have started to develop a crush on Melanie and she’s not making it easier on me really. She teases me all the time, physical contact with me has also increased. I think she likes me as well but I’m not sure so I’m going to ask her.

Its official Mela and I are together now, it is now July, and I will forever remember it. I took a chance and it worked. I invited her out for dinner and asked her straight up, I told her about my feelings towards her and she reciprocated. We went out a couple of times before making it official. I’ve been telling Hope about it and she’s so excited for us. No one else at the lab is aware yet but we are going to tell her sister first and see how she reacts. I hope she doesn’t mind, I know I might be overthinking but I can’t help but wonder if she might be angry that her sister is dating me. We have all been going to the gym together and I think she suspects something is up, but she’s been preoccupied with this new boy Henry. He seems to like her a lot, but I think she’s just going to get into trouble.

Mela and I have been together for three months (Oct) now her birthday has passed, she turned 26 and mine is coming up in Dec, I am turning 24. Melanie celebrated her birthday with her family, but I still spoiled her a little bit afterwards. I took her out for a picnic bought her this necklace that she had been wanting. It's been a great year at this place, I can’t believe my luck. I am working with people that are friendly and hardworking. I try to help everyone as much as I can, and I think they appreciate it. I give my work 110%, it's not necessary but I want to do my best. More people now know that we are together, but we keep it professional at the office. Mela said that once we reach 6 months, she wants me to meet her parents. I am so nervous because my parents are not accepting of my sexuality and gender identity.
