Not your average countess
One year ago when the Earl of Devonshire, Cole Weatherly had decided to drop his newly wedded wife at the steps of Blakewood Manor with as much respect as would be given a sack of potatoes, the last thing he had expected was for her to move into his ancestral home at Devonshire.
As if that wasn't enough. News of his wife's exploits was being recounted from the lips of one gentleman to the other, and the large bills that were being wired to his name from her modiste gave him all the more reasons, why he should go home and talk some sense into her.
If he had expected to find a quiet, docile wife, then he was in for a surprise, for in place of a docile wife was a beautiful enchantress who wasn't afraid to challenge him.
If Cole Weatherly, had thought his wife had turned his whole life upside down by trapping him in a marriage, then this was worst. Emily had turned his whole house upside down, and even his servants against him.
First, she moved into his bedchamber, then she redecorated the bloody house and the time for meals changed. He was a fairly burly man, who needed his food to operate, so eating as early as five does not bode well with his stomach at all.
