A Life Changing Night

I'm Blair. I'm currently 18 years old. I was 11 years old when this happened.. It haunted me ever since. Now, I'm scared of love. Does love even exist?

Loud thud and screams

Mom (Julie): "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! I DID NOTHING WRONG!! THIS ALEX IS MY BEST FRIEND! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!"

Dad (Thomas): "So Alex is your "best friend" and he slept with you?! WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS, JULIE?!"

Mom (Julie):cries "PLEASE, THOMAS! PLEASE UNDERSTAND!! IT WAS A MISTAKE!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO IT!!"

Thomas slaps Julie

Dad (Thomas): "Julie,If you say one more word with your nonsense lies, I'm taking my gun!"

Mom (Julie): cries and begs him for forgiveness "Thomas! You can't do this to me! I'm your wife! We have a child! Please Thomas, I will never do it again! Please, it was an accident!"

gun shot

(10 minutes later)

(Thomas crying)

Blair walks in slowly, tears flowling down her cheeks. Seems like she heard everything.

Blair: Terrified gasp

Blair sees her mom's dead body, covered in blood.

Blair: "d-dad..? W-w-why is mom covered in b-blood?"

Dad (Thomas): stops crying "Don't worry, sweetie. Mom's just sleeping. And that's not blood, that's ketchup. Come give daddy a hug". Opens his arms for a hug

Blair: runs over to Thomas and hugs him while crying. "D-dad? When will mommy wake up?"

Dad (Thomas): "Don't worry, sweetie. Mommy will wake up soon. Let's go sleep now,alright?"

Blair: "O-ok daddy..". walks into her bedroom with her dad and lays on the bed

Dad (Thomas): "Now, my sweet pumpkin pie needs some rest. Go to sleep,honey. Good night". walks over to the door

Blair: "goodnight daddy". Drifts off to sleep

Dad (Thomas): closes the door and leaves.

And not only that, I've had experienced fake love several times. And toxic, abusive love. It's the worst. I've seen and heard that some people are victims of fake,abusive and toxic love. And I feel sorry for them. I know how they must feel. And I'm sorry if you're experiencing that as well. I hope that things will get better for you.
