Chapter -17 Ray flash [1]

A figure dashed toward the beast in front of him and sliced it in half just by using his palm.

The most shocking fact about it was that the beast in front was a Rank B.

The figure had crimson eyes and jet-black hair. He was wearing an oversized coat which was reaching to his knees.

The figure was extremely charming and handsome.

Suddenly behind him, another figure appeared. Deep blue eyes and pale skin with snow-white hairs.

He was wearing a red hoodie and black pants.

One might think that he could teleport since he was standing three hundred kilometers away but no. He traveled those distances on foot within a second.

He was the world's fastest hunter even though he was only a star -8 level -9 and only twenty - nine years old. He was the world's youngest star -8 hunter. Rex lockser and in front of him was the world's strongest human. Rio flash, - was thirty-seven years old and was star -9 level -9.

"Master. The lunar academy asks you for help."

Rex hurriedly said.

"The lunar academy," Rio said as an Interested look appeared on his face.

"Yes. They say that they might be going against one of the strongest dark guilds. They need the help of the crimson blood guild. And..."

"And?"

"They want us to help them in rescuing some students. The headmaster and the other Star -8 hunters are on a mission." Rex replied as he was looking at his teacher.

"Well if that's it I will send one of the elite squads."

"One of the students needing rescue is Ray flash." Rex mustered all the courage before telling.

"Hmm. Is that so."

'What? Does master hate mage so much that he won even rescue his kid.' Rex frowned as he thought. His master was known for hating mages to his core and the day he came to know that the profession his son got was a mage from that movement he never saw his son's face. But wasn't his wife supposed to be the world's greatest mage? Rex thought but all he could do was wait for his master's answer.

"Where are they trapped."

Listening to his master's words Rex's eyes quickly shinned.

"Master in the forest of endless darkness." But once he said those words his face turned gloomy.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Call the blue blood members." Listening to his words Rex's eyes widened. Blue blood was a team made up of the most elite members in the human domain. But a smile appeared on his face. It seemed that his master still cared about Ray.

Looking at the scene in front of her Elena's eyes were filled with tears. Her hand trembled as she looked at the monsters killing the students and tearing them apart devouring them.

'Wasn't I supposed to be one of the strongest students in the academy then why am I hopeless against these monsters?'

"Rooooooaaaaaaarrrrrrrr." Suddenly she heard a monster's scream which shook her to the cost.

She looked to her side and spotted a giant monster that was completely black and looked like a giant horse.

Its mouth was more than enough to fit a whole human in it.

Her heart sank as she accepted her death. Even the professor who was an archer and was responsible to protect them all from sneak attacks couldn't spot the horse in time.

They all knew that this was the end for her but at that time a human that the was completely covered in flames dashed right into the mouth of that Rank c monster.

The monster swallowed the human which bought some time for the professor to shoot.

She quickly shot four arrows which dug deep into the monster's skin.

The monster quickly dashed away from there.

One might think that Elena was happy as she was able to survive but no.

Because she saw who was that man. It was her childhood friend Ray flash.

On the other side, the monster was running as fast as it could. It felt as if its insides were burning in flames.

-Boom

Suddenly its whole body busted into a million pieces and a human crawled out.

The human's body was completely burnt. it was due to the rare mana bomb he had but as result, his body was completely burned.

He had third-degree burns all over him which were hurting each time he moved.

Pain engulfed his whole body as he felt that he was getting fried in deep oil.

Just as he was crawling his body suddenly started to shine.

His eyes widened as he realized what was happening. He accidentally activated a teleportation flower.

These flowers were very rare and would activate if someone poured their blood on them. The person would be transported to an entirely different place or even an entirely different planet based on where it is connected to. These flowers would only activate once in their lifetime and after that, they would be useless.

But before he could see where he was getting transported to he fell unconscious.

Ray's eyes slowly opened. He started to absorb the surrounding.

He seemed to be lying on a stretcher. And the place looked like a hospital.

"Have you got anything?"

"No, his facial features are too deformed. We can't get a proper read on his identity."

'What's going on? Who's talking?'

"Hmmm, what about after we heal him?"

"That's possible, but it may take a couple of months for him to fully heal from these injuries. Almost half of his body is burnt. Perhaps if we use a high-grade potion, but…"

"No, we definitely can't do that. It'll be a waste of money. We can just wait a couple of months. Anything else?"

"For now no. All we know is that he suddenly appeared in the hall with third-degree burns all over his body. I'm more surprised by the fact that he's still alive."

'Are these the people who saved me?' Ray thought but what he didn't know was this was the place where his nightmare would begin.
