Chapter 7 Public Library#2

11th, Ashadha, 1965,

'Today's last stop, Public Library

Ortson pushes open the door and enters the building and walks toward the librarian's counter.

"Miss Alya, I am here to return back the book I borrowed."

Alya who was reading a book, put it aside and said.

"Take out your library card and book."

Ortson takes them out and puts them on the counter.

Alya takes out the library registry and opens it to search for Ortson's name.

"Sign here, and you are done."

Ortson signed the library register.

"Miss. Alya do you recommend any book on spell casting."

Alya observes Ortson from head to toe.

"You are now a first circle mage apprentice, so tell me which of the two paths you wanna take mystic rune language or spell models. Choose wisely."

"Why do I need to choose between the two?"

"If you just want to study both and compare them like a scholar I have no complaints. But for practical use, it will be in your favor if you choose one of them from the start and see it through."

"Why Miss. Alya?"

"You are a scholar from outside the tower and you don't even know that."

Ortson started sweating bullets because he was not from outside the tower he was not even from outside the world, he might be from outside the dimension or the universe.

As far as his body's memories are of concern there is no prior knowledge about such a topic.

"Let me tell you, magician regards mystic rune script as something holy, The language of the Mystic Arts is as old as civilization. The sorcerers of antiquity called the use of this language 'spells,' and in mysticism languages have power."

"Magic had been achieved by great mystics from ancient times, whether miracles brought forth by 'Gods', demonic power of 'Devils, or else original theories on the supernatural phenomenon, they were all things that could be reproduced through formulas. All phenomena have fixed laws, which can be measured, calculated, and their manifestation is derived through 'magic. That's why there is a saying- 'mathematics is the language of the universe', to prove it right many studies have been conducted and are still being done."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, Mathematics proved to be still standing after its many trials, mathematics is the mystical language of humanity. But if you are still undecided I will explain to you in simple terms, those who use mystical script they only need to know HOW It works. and those who use mathematics need to know WHY it works?"

Alya stopped talking, but Ortson was still looking toward Alya wide-eyed.

'This is the first time I have seen Miss. Alya talking so much.'

"What are you looking at?"

"Nothing, I am deciding."

"Have you decided?"

"Yes, I want to study spell model."

Alya takes out a book from the bookshelf titled- Spell Models for mage apprentice.

"Give me your Library card, and sign here in the registry. And return the book in one week."

"Thank you, Miss. Alya, and good night."

Ortson comes out from the Library and started walking toward his apartment complex.

People can see a red moon hanging in the sky, and a gentle wind blowing on the streets of this large city on the 1st floor of this tower, many places are still bustling with the activity of humans indicating that even if they are displaced from their hometown, humans have the amazing ability to adapt to any circumstances, they just need time.
