23 Giants Appeared

Irene danced with her dark blades gripped tightly in her hands. Her movements were the result of years of rigorous training, yet she had never been able to utilize them fully due to the oppression she faced from her half brothers and sisters.

With each graceful strike, Irene unleashed the pent-up fury and frustration that had long simmered within her. Her blades moved in deadly slashes and stab, carving through the ranks of the enemy with a dancer's grace and a warrior's skill.

As she fought, memories of her past flooded her mind – the years of training in secret, the constant struggle to prove herself in the face of her family's disdain. And the burning desire for revenge that had always burned within her soul.

But now, in the midst of battle, Irene felt a sense of liberation unlike anything she had ever known. With every enemy she killed, she felt the weight of her past lifting from her shoulders, replaced by a newfound sense of purpose.

She had always yearned for this, the freedom to wield her blades and kill. But if she were to do so, the head of the House, Michael, would punish her under the guise of teaching her a lesson.

Irene never thought of Michael Evernight as her father. They were related by blood, but that was it. She had never received his love, which ultimately turned her into a cold girl who harbored resentment toward her father and her family.

Some of the butlers were kind to her and her mother, for which Irene was grateful. At least not everyone in the mansion was a jerk. So, at least her life didn't become more miserable.

Irene clashed with more enemies before her. As she do that, her mind drifted back to the memories of her past – memories of taunts, jeers, and endless ridicule from her half brothers and sisters.

She remembered the countless times they had mocked her mother saying she is a whore, belittled her, and made her feel like she was less than nothing.

With each strike of her blades, the anger within her grew, fueling her movements with a fierce determination.

She could hear their voices echoing in her mind, their cruel laughter ringing in her ears as she fought. The memories fueled her rage, driving her to strike harder, faster, and with greater intensity.

She screamed loudly as she swung her daggers. They slashed through the enemies like hot knives through butter.

Again and again, in her mind's eye, Irene saw their faces contorted with malice. Their words dripping with venom as they hurled insult after insult at her. She felt the sting of their mockery like a physical blow, the pain of it cutting deep into her soul.

But at least for now Irene felt a small measure of satisfaction – a fleeting sense of vindication for all the times she had been made to feel small and insignificant.

She keeps going and lets her heart guide each of her attacks. This makes her stand out among all the Invited. While the others are fighting desperately, she dominates.

Meanwhile, Ethan stays in the back, shooting his Aether arrows, so he kills the monsters without showing himself. It was as if the monsters just died of a mysterious cause. And his Aether arrows dissipate after doing their job, leaving no trace at all.

'She stands out too much.' Ethan let out a sigh.

What Ethan thought proved to be true because a moment later, Ryan's attention was drawn to a figure moving gracefully amidst the melee. Despite the tumultuous surroundings, one fighter stood out with her striking movements – Irene.

Recognition flickered in Ryan's mind as he recalled seeing her once before, at a lavish party hosted by the elites. He remembered her distinct features and the intensity in her eyes, which now seems burned fiercely.

In the midst of combat, Irene fought with skill and confidence and killing the monsters around her. There was an undeniable strength in her, a quiet resolve that set her apart from the others on the battlefield.

Ryan approached her, but before he could even get close to her, the situation around them changed.

Dark clouds gathered overhead, obscuring the once-clear sky, and a deep rumble echoed through the air.

Then suddenly, a giant figure emerged from the shadows towering over the battlefield. Its massive form cast shadow over the battelfield and instilling chill.

At the same time, jagged bolts of lightning lanced down from the darkened sky, illuminating the chaos below with blinding flashes of light.

*BLARR!*

*BLARR!*

*BLARR!*

The sudden appearance of the colossal monster and the onslaught of lightning strikes sent shockwaves of fear through the ranks of Invited and the monsters alike.

Ethan paused his shooting for a few seconds and observed the figure that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

'Claudia didn't mention anything about this.' he thought.

Amidst the chaos of battle, a fearsome creature emerged from the shadows. Its sinewy form looks like a dragon but lacking the wings. It looks more like a giant lizard.

Its scales shimmered in the dim light, reflecting the faint glow of the battlefield and lightning.

With a long, body coiled like a spring, the creature moved with a fluid grace. Its razor-sharp claws dug deep into the earth, leaving gouges in the ground as it prowled forward with predatory intent.

The creature's head was crowned with a row of jagged horns. Each gleaming with a deadly sharpness. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity, fixated on its prey sending shivers down the spines of the Invited.

A wave of fear washed over the ranks of the Invited, freezing them in their tracks. Whispers of terror spread as the Invited realized the magnitude of the threat before them. Some stumbled backward, their resolve faltering in the face of such overwhelming power. The others stood frozen in terror, unable to tear their gaze away from the creature's menacing form.

Ryan halted his intention to approach Irene as he saw something far more important now.

With a resolute determination etched upon his face, he stepped forward to take the lead, his sword held aloft with unwavering resolve.

Ethan looked at Ryan, unable to comprehend how he was willing to take such a risk. It was actually impressive, but not something he would do himself.

Ethan sensed something on his radar. He whipped his head around, seeing another giant creature emerging from the other side.
