5 A New Hunting Ground
After spending about 2 hours at the Green Slime hunting ground, Bai Tian acquired the last of 10 Green Slime Cores, finishing his quest.
If Master Vulcan knew how quickly it took him to finish the quest, he would surely be shocked to the core.
However, Bai Tian had four more days before he could return to the city.
'What should I do for the next four days?' He wondered to himself.
He just reached level 4, and the Green Slime hunting ground had gotten even more crowded. Since he finished his quest and the Green Slimes are barely worth hunting, there was no point in staying there any more.
After giving some thoughts to it, he decided to go further out and away from the city to fight stronger monsters.
He looked at his Silver Sword.

"Considering that the Wooden Sword was on the verge of breaking after a hundred or so swings, this is pretty good. Though, I haven't used any skills, which might consume the durability quicker."
Bai Tian began making his way towards the forested area in the distance.
Meanwhile, the couple that had been killed by Bai Tian left the game to do something else while they waited for their 24 hour countdown, which happens when a Player dies, meaning they won't be able to play until the cooldown is finished.
After walking for about an hour when Bai Tian was three miles away from the city, he encountered a new type of monster, a pig with blue skin, and there was even a dull horn at the center of its forehead.

When the Horned Blue Pig saw Bai Tian, it started kicking its back feet, preparing to charge.
Seeing this, Bai Tian stood still and beckoned the pig.
The pig propelled its large body forward the following moment.
Once it was in front of him, Bai Tian maneuvered his legs in a majestic manner, gracefully dodging the pig.
After dodging it, he beckoned it again for some reason.
The pig seemed to be irritated by Bai Tian's provocation and rushed at him again.
Bai Tian responded with more graceful leg movements.
The two of them would continue this routine for many minutes until Bai Tian received a notification.

Bai Tian smiled upon seeing this notification, and he proceeded to use the Horned Blue Pig as a progression farmer for his new Skill. The pig would keep on charging at him until it ran out of stamina ten minutes later.

After killing so many Horned Blue Pigs, Bai Tian figured out a few things about the combat system.
When he strikes a critical area, such as the head or heart, it will be a Fatal Blow, instantly killing his target.
When he strikes a weak spot, such as their knees or whatever is considered their weak spot, it will be counted as a Precise Hit, doubling the damage.
A Critical Hit can only be inflicted when hitting an area that is already wounded, and it has the highest damage modifiers thus far.
"What a profound system. It's unlike any game I've played before. Heaven bless the creators." Bai Tian praised whoever created this wonderful game.
When he encountered the next pig, Bai Tian approached it using White Ghost's Maneuver.
The pig was completely oblivious to his presence even though he was walking right behind it, and this would continue for the next minute.
Once he was satisfied, Bai Tian ended the oblivious pig's life with a single strike to the head.
A few more pigs later.

He turned to look at a pig about 10 meters away and gestured at it with a gun finger.
After taking a second to gather his spiritual energy, he concentrated it at the tip of his finger and released it, shooting it at the pig's head at the speed of a bullet.
The bullet smacked the pig directly in the right side of its head, but it wasn't able to penetrate its skin.

Bai Tian was baffled by the trash damage. Even his normal attacks hit twice as hard, not to mention it being a Precise Hit.
'Is this because I haven't learned the skill yet?' He wondered if its damage was limited until he fully learned the skill.
Since he had no way to find out until he actually learned the skill, he started spamming it at the pig until it died a slow and painful death.
Several hours later.

"Now the question is, how do I increase my skills' rank? Do I just keep using it, or do I need a special item?"
Since there was only one way to find out if he could rank up a skill by using it repeatedly, he immediately went to look for more Horned Blue Pigs to experiment on.
