Sorry I Have To Lie To You

Andrew's POV

I stare at the beautiful girl in front of me. I don't know that my decision to bring her here would make her uncomfortable. I also notice that many people were staring at us as when we entered the restaurant.

But, hey...I already ask for her father's permission before I can take her here. Of course, I don't want to freak that old bastard when his daughter is returning home late today. So, before I ask her out, I already went to her father's office and made him can't refuse my request.

His father is not easy to handle as I had to stand there like four hours outside his office before he finally agrees. But, he also said something like she just said earlier when I pick her up.

'Be home before ten!' he said with a murderous glare that he thought I would be afraid. Unfortunately, I never scared of anything.

"Ahem.." Melinda stands at the side of the table while bringing the plates of dinner for us. I was a little embarrassed when seeing she squinting her eyes to me, like asking me what I did to the girl that she looked so red right now.

"Here's your dinner. Enjoy~" Melinda then put the plate in front of us before she smiles and goes back down. After she's gone, I look back at Sha Sha. I just remember that she has something she wants to say to me earlier.

"Sha Sha, what did you want to say to me earlier?" as I asked, she flinched a little and turn her eyes away from me. I wonder what it is in her mind.

"Um…" I saw she clenching her finger like she was suppressing something. Is it really hard for her to tell me? If so, then...

"Do you want to go to the festival??" I was startled when she suddenly said it and lowered her head a little, she said again, "With me."

I smiled. I thought maybe it was something big, but..she really tries it hard. Did she think I would refuse her? No, she's wrong. I would never refuse anything that she wants.

"I am extremely want to go with you to the festival," I reply, and I saw that her expression change like she was relieved. Why should she worried that I would reject her? Hey, Sha Sha..did you know that I have plenty of time?

Yes, I have plenty of time, and I would like to spend it all with you. Will you forgive me if someday I can't be with you again? I can't cheer you up and go to any festival with you in the future. I know I'm selfish..but, just this once. Please, let me love you and see your smile.

"Oh, Andrew.." Her voice makes me back to earth and looks at her, raising my eyebrow a little. "Yeah?"

I saw she took out the phone from her handbag and put it on the table, "I saw the initial letter on the covers. Then I realize that I never know your real name, Andrew."

That's right. I never tell Sha Sha about my real name. I only told her about where I'm from and what I do during the night for the last week. But I never actually disclose anything about me to her. I know she might be curious about me.

"It is actually the initial letters of my real name. My real name is Andrew Xavier Armstrong. My father's Mike Xander Armstrong and my mother's Mitchell Kim. I was born and raised in Rassia, and my mom is no longer with us. So, I only have my dad. If you have time, I want to introduce you to my dad. Is it okay?" I really meant every word I just said right now.

If she's okay with it, I want my father to know her. To see the woman that his son finally in love with before he's gone. I know my father will put the protection around her once I'm no longer here. Well, at least...I know she will be safe when I'm no longer around to protect her.

I'm sorry dad I have to put you into another trouble. But I really love her. And I don't think I can let her go.

"Andrew…Xavier...Armstrong?" she looks at me, and I was ready if she really knew the name. I don't want to lie to her if she asks me now.

"That's a nice name. I like it."

"Do you know anyone with the same name as mine?" I try to give her a hint, but I guess I was too confident.

"Hm? No. Did you have someone with the same name as yours?" I was dumbfounded a little before I start giggling. I shook my head and looked at her blank face.

"No..I don't think I know them even if there's someone with the same name as me." I saw her smile and continue to eat dinner.

We spent our night talking and laughing about a lot of things on the terrace before Melinda comes up and tells us that they want to close the restaurant. We so absorbed that I forget about the times.

After I pay for dinner, we walked to the fountain together. Every shop at the alley seems like they're almost closing. This is also a reminder to me to send Sha Sha back home.

Clink!

"Oh, hey~ I found something." Sha Sha suddenly bent her body a little and picked up something on the ground.

When she stands up again, I look at the 'thing' on her hands. "A coin?" I asked, and she nods her head.

"Yeah. Follow me." She pulls my hand to the fountain, and we stand there while she closes her eyes for a moment.

When she closes her eyes, I keep staring at her. Indulging myself with her beauty so that I won't be missing her when I'm gone.

After a few seconds, I saw her open her eyes and flip the coin from her finger to the bottom of the fountain. I wonder why she did that? That she still believes in miracles and fairy tales?

"Did you just make a wish?" I asked, and she nods. Wow, I never thought she would actually still believe it even in these modern days. But then I remember that she was raised sheltered. Her world is not the same as mine. I should respect her believes.

"What did you wish?"

She suddenly stops her pace and looks at me, "I wish that we could stay together, grew old together, and love each other till the end of the times. I wish all your wish will come true too, Andrew."

I think I could feel like my heart stopped for a second, and I couldn't help but hug her tightly. I'm sorry, Sha Sha..I'm sorry that your wish will never come true.

"Andrew? Are you okay?" she asked as I still hug her without a word coming out from me. I just don't want her to see my sad face right now. I don't want her to know what exactly I'm facing right now. There's turbulence inside me, a huge one. Yes, it's my guilty feeling toward her.

"I don't know what happen, but Andrew...I just said this to you. I want us…to be together for the longest time. I don't know how to love properly, as this is my first time. But, if there's something that I'm lacking..would you please tell me?"

I squeeze my eyes before I release her and lift her chin up, looking at me. "There's nothing lack about you. If anything, it's my own fault. Sha Sha, I will treasure you properly. Me too, I want us to be together for a long time." yes, that's my wish, too. But I know what my reality looks like.

It's cold at night, so I give Sha Sha my coat to cover her body. As I walked her to her house, I couldn't help but pull her to the wall's side.

"Sorry I have to do this," I whisper as I then kiss her lips lightly. I know she must be shocked, but I'm stupid, maybe? I still do it, and before I could say anything, someone pulling my shirt from behind.

"What the hell??!" a guy I never saw before suddenly yelled at me. He looked furious, though.

"Who are you?" I asked, and the man lifts up his fist, ready to punch me. But to my surprise, Sha Sha suddenly pulls the man's arms.

"No, Linwei...Don't! You misunderstand us." I frowned as I then look at Sha Sha. Hoping that she could clear up something that I don't know.

"What did I misunderstand? I clearly saw that he is forcibly kissing you! You want to be killed by father?" hearing those conversations, I assume he's a family?

This guy is Sha Sha's younger brother, who is supposed to be studying in another city?

"What's the ruckus here??" Mr. Lin suddenly opens the door, and I look at him before I nod my head a little to the man. Like always, he never likes me and ignores my gesture.

"Father! This man-umph!" I look back at the guy and saw that Sha Sha already cupped her younger brother's mouth with her hands.

To not make it bigger, I went forward and came clean. "I'm sorry, Mr. Lin. I kissed your daughter earlier. Don't worry about it. I take full responsibility for it. If you want to punish me, please do so."

Pang! I closed my eyes for a seconds before I touch on my cheek. Well, that's a sting slap I just got.

"Go back now." the old man said, and I stand there, staring at him, "I won't do anything to my daughter, are you satisfied now? You asshole." he curses me, and after I'm sure he won't do anything to Sha Sha, I went to the elevator and pressed the button.

I saw Sha Sha look kind of sad like she wanted to burst into tears right now, but I wave my hand to her. "I'll see you later, goodnight." I winked, and the elevator door closed.

Well, I'm sure Gonzales will provoke me tonight. I know he doesn't like it when I receive any pain like right now. But, sorry pal..I'll do anything for her. You can mad at me, yell at me and do anything at me, but I won't step back from protecting the girl I love.
