6 Part-time Job

{A/N: I'm so sorry for not being able to upload any chapter for a month since I'm very busy with my own college schedule that I have a hard time finding the time to write the fic, and also I'm so sorry that I haven't have the chance to told you guys the reason why I haven't been able to write for a month. As soon as both Shin and Satou were out of school, many noticed that right now that Satou was hugging Shin's right hand while walking out of the school grounds. Some took a look at them with jealous gazes from girls to boys, and others were gossiping from behind as they looked at the both of them.

Shin took a look at his surroundings and found that almost all the people in the vicinity were looking at them with eyes that screamed jealousy. Even though he was already used to being stared at, instead of being worried about himself right now he is more worried about Satou who is also being stared at by other people. When he looked at Satou's expression, he only found Satou's excited expression on her face which made him confused.

"You're not nervous getting stared at by this many people?" Shin looked at Satou with a confused look on his face.

"Nervous? Not really, if I would say what I'm feeling right now, I'm feeling really happy." Satou, who was still hugging Shin's right arm, only looked at him with a smile.

"I see... As long as you are happy." Shin then smiled back at her while both of them slowly walked outside the school gates.

"Anyway Shin... Are you really okay?" While walking, Satou asked him with a worried look on her face.

"What do you mean by okay?" Shin looked at Satou with a bit of surprise and thought that maybe the thing that she is implying is the previous matter, but he still looked at her with a calm look on his face.

"You know... At that time, I saw you make a complicated face when Shizuka-sensei showed a sad look, that's why I thought that you might be sad too..."

Shin who heard this only continued to walk while sighing with a smile.

"You saw that?" Shin could only look at Satou with a wry smile, Satou only replied with a nod while still making a worried look on her face.

"And here I thought that you wouldn't notice... As you and the others already know, Shizuka-sensei is my legal guardian after my grandpa passed away, but before my grandpa passed away, there was always the option of being adopted by my uncle."

Satou, who heard Shin talking, only listened to him while walking together.

"And as you can see, I choose her as my legal guardian rather than my uncle, because I'm fond of her... And of course, there is also another reason that I didn't want to be adopted by my uncle, but he is still nonetheless a kind person I guess." Shin looked back at Satou, only to find Satou showing a sad smile, which led to him making a confused look on his face, yet again.

"What's wrong?" Asked Shin who looked at her with a bewildered expression.

"No, it's really nothing... It's just you know that I lived with my aunt after my parents passed away, and I'm also not really that fond of my aunt..."

"Ah... My bad for asking." Said Shin while showing an apologetic look as he stared at Satou. He already knew Satou's living conditions before he entered High School. He remembered the time he accidentally visited her home when he was still in middle school.

Shin once met with Satou's aunt when he accidentally visited Satou's home. At that time, because he wanted to return the lunch box that she cooked for him, he went to her apartment where she lives since at the time Satou already left school earlier than him before he was able to return it. That led him to meet with Satou's aunt when visiting her apartment. His first impression of Satou's aunt at that time was that she was a twisted woman, that is very good at seducing people, though her seduction doesn't work on him due to his experience from his past life occupation. But, he still remembered very well the time her seduction didn't work on him, she looked at him with bloodshot eyes directly which made him start to wonder if Satou's aunt is really alright in the head.

Shin, who was still recalling all the past, suddenly starts to notice Satou who was giggling beside him with a happy smile.

"You don't have to worry about that... I'm fine as long as I'm with you, and also even if I was raised by her, you still accepted me the way I am... And that alone makes me very happy."

"Stop saying that... You are you and your aunt is your aunt, that is why you don't have to think much about that." Shin who heard this could only reprimand Satou with a bit of a seriousness on his face, though he couldn't help but be happy hearing Satou say that to him.

Satou, who looked at Shin while hearing that, hugged his right hand more tightly than before, it made him look at her with a smile. He still remembered the time he met Satou's aunt. It was the time when his relationship with Satou started growing rapidly, due to him being able to accept her and who she ever has been, even If she was raised by an aunt that was a lost cause.

"Anyway, Why don't both of you and Shizuka-sensei talk it out with each other, I'm sure it will work out somehow." Said Satou while showing a smile at Shin.

"Thanks, I actually don't know what to do in this type of situation. This is my first time facing this kind of stuff, so I highly appreciate your advice." Shin, who heard Satou, only sighed while showing a wry smile.

The time when Shin knew that Onodera has a crush on him, and also the time that Shizuka showed a sad look when seeing that he was dating Satou, is the first time he ever faced the so-called relationship problem with other people. Even though this was all happening after he got something called the 'System', he had no rights to blame it on the 'System' since he was the one who used it after all. But this is something that he needed in order to open his eyes and to look at the people he knew might think of him, that is why in order to make everything right, he needs to settle his differences with the people he knew... But of course not now.

Satou, who heard Shin, can only once again smile at him as they walked together. Slowly, the atmosphere went quiet as both of them walked with each other reminiscing all of their memories and time spent together.

"Satou..."

Satou, who heard Shin call her, looked at him with a questioning look on her face. After a brief pause, Shin then continues his words while looking a bit serious.

"Don't you also have a part-time job today?"

"W-what are you talking about?" Asked Satou while showing a smile, but soon she slowly looked away from Shin.

"Don't tell me you are going to skip your part-time job? You are going to get fired at this rate if you're skipping too much, you know..." Shin could only look at Satou while sighing.

"But, We finally became a couple... That's why I want to spend more time with you... As a couple..." Satou pouted while replying to Shin with a sad look which caused Shin to sigh with a smile on his face. But suddenly Shin thought of something which benefited both of them, although he doesn't know if it will really benefit Satou.

"Then why don't you just work in my workplace?"

The reason why Shin just thought of this idea was because of countless reasons, such as Satou starting working as a part-timer earlier than him, since he just started work part-timer after the death of his grandfather, and this made him think maybe that she was quite fond of her workplace. And another reason to add is that at that time, he and Satou weren't dating yet which means he doesn't want to intrude on her comfort zone.

When Satou heard this, she looked a bit surprised while stopping her step. She then looks at Shin with an excited, happy smile.

"That is a great idea!!"

"But, of course, I will try asking the manager first for confirmation, okay? So don't quit your part-time job before I ask, since I'm not a hundred percent sure if the manager is in need of a new employee."

Satou who heard this then nods, even though the chance of her getting employed at Shin's workplace as a part-timer is not 100%, but she couldn't help but be happy when thinking about the time she can spend with Shin together in his workplace.

"Rather, then go directly to your manager, why don't you just call your manager?"

Shin who heard this from Satou could only sigh with a smile while looking at how excited Satou was. He then picks up his smartphone from his pants pocket with his left hand as he dials his manager's phone number.

"Hello... Ah yes, I'm fine, anyway, there is something I would like to ask you, actually..."

Shin then explains everything to his manager about Satou. After a brief moment of communication, Shin then ends the call as he looks at Satou with a smile.

"It looks like he is indeed in need of a new employee, well he said that if you want to apply for the job you could do some interview with him tomorrow since right now he is not available at the café."

Satou, who heard this news from Shin, showed a happy smile while looking at Shin.

"Oh, and also you can decide the time that you are going to meet him tomorrow since he will be available all day in the café."

"T-then... Since tomorrow is Saturday and you also don't have any shift tomorrow, then why don't we go together to your workplace? After that, we can go out on a date... Our first date as a couple." Satou knew that Shin himself doesn't have any shift at his workplace tomorrow since he was the one who told her.

{A/N: FYI most schools in Japan don't make their students go to school on Saturday.}

Shin, who heard this, was a bit surprised since Satou suddenly asked him to go out on a date with her, though because of this, he let out a smile on his face while replying to Satou.

"Sure, what time are we going to the café?"

Both Shin and Satou decided that they will meet at 10 am tomorrow morning.

"You know Shin, I'm so happy as long as I'm with you, that's why..."

"That is why?"

"No, it's nothing." Satou who is about to say something only shakes her head with a smile, but Shin doesn't know that if she was going to continue her words then she would say something... 'If anyone tried to separate the both of us, I would make that person disappear.'

After saying that, Satou let her hand go as she told Shin something.

"Then don't be late for tomorrow's date."

"Wait, where are you going?"

"I'm going to resign from my workplace."

"Wait..."

Before Shin is able to call out to Satou, she has already gone from Shin's view which made him sigh, but nonetheless he still has a wry smile on his face.

"Jeez... Looks like there is no stopping her from resigning, well it looks like I have to hurry as well"

Shin then hurriedly went to his workplace and soon arrived at a Café called Stile.
