335 The Prison of the Prime Gods
John arrived at Lucy's place on the moon leaving the trio with the baby in the house before he disappeared from there trying to get back to the others when he appears in a dark space.
"Where am I?" asks John himself while looking around seeing only Darkness left and right at first before he notices black chains hanging from the ceiling and he slowly could see that he was inside some prison as he saw cells left and right from him.
"Justice, where am I?" asks John confused and curious as he walked toward one of the cells finding someone hanging from the ceiling with black chains holding him in place.
"Justice?" asks John again but Justice never answered when John hears chains ranging inside the cell.
"We have a visitor? It has been ages since someone wandered here by accident. The last time it was a boy by the name of Sion," says a male voice coming from the being in the cell as it opened its eyes.
John saw crimson eyes looking at him which reminded John a lot of his wife's eyes when he hears the being taking sniffs before saying, "You, you smell different."
"What do you mean?" asks John nervous as he looked at the red eyes not breaking contact while preparing for the worst.
"You smell familiar but at the same time, you don't," says the being looking at John and analyzing him.
John then hears someone laugh from the cell beside him and he sees a man with dirty blond hair chained to the wall.
"I know what you mean. He smells just like Arthur. I can never forget this smell but he also smells like my worst nightmare the man that imprisoned us in here," says the man as John was met with sky-blue eyes resembling almost the eyes he owns.
"You can smell Shura from him as well," says the being with crimson eyes as he took a closer look at John before saying, "But he is neither Arthur nor Shura."
"No, my name is John Crownguard and I have inherited soul fragments of Shura and Arthur. I also inherited Arthur's Legacy," says John which surprised everyone in the space he was in as now more eyes opened and stared at John.
"You have obtained our King's Legacy? Don't joke, puny mortal," says a deep and angered voice as it approaches the bars of his cell when someone else speaks up.
"It is the truth or he wouldn't have been able to summon me or my brother before," says a familiar voice to John.
"Poseidon!" shouts John as he looked around.
"Is that true, he is our new King? The man Arthur promised us would release us and write the wrongs right," says the being with crimson eyes.
"Yes, he is John Crownguard, our new King. And he will succeed in what our old King failed," says Hades convinced that John would be able to do so when suddenly laughter broke out from the cells not ridiculing their new King but relief to find out that they will get another shot in writing the wrongs right this time.
"Then I, Sun Wukong, will bow to the new King and join him in his conquest of defeating the Man of Contracts and the Woman of Restrictions. Shall we be victorious over them and not repeat the failure of the past," says the being with crimson eyes revealing his identity while swearing loyalty before many other prisoners did the same.
"How can I release you from your prison?" asks John seriously as Poseidon took the chance to speak.
"You can't until the First Earth or what you call it, Prime Earth, is unsealed. Once the Earth is unsealed this prison will be undone and all beings from that Earth will be released permanently once again. Until then we will be imprisoned here," says Poseidon explaining the situation to John who was confused about it.
"Can't I release you into the Realm of Warriors? Tyr resides there," says John surprising the prisoners.
"No wonder we never heard him talk. He was the whole time in another realm that existed before Prime Earth," says Hades as the prisoners were surprised by what John said.
"The Warriors' Realm is Shura's personal prison that used to be a Realm that existed before Prime Earth. So you could free us and send us there to reside there temporarily until Prime Earth is unsealed," says Sun Wukong as John was thinking about it when he remembers the black chains.
"We only have one problem," says John as they looked at him confused.
"And it is?" asks Sun Wukong wanting to know what the problem is.
"The chains, I can't break them from here but only from outside this prison, like with Hades and Poseidon," says John knowing full well that he won't be able to destroy the chains holding the prisoners in their cell.
"Then do so once you have the chance but be careful of their watchful eyes. They can't on us here which means whoever you were trying to contact could be connected to our enemies somehow," says Sun Wukong warning John.
"Alright, now we only have one more problem left. How do I leave this place?" asks John as he couldn't feel his seals nor Nesiara from this prison.
"Shura build this place to hold us in until it was time to fight again. You have a fragment of his soul which means that if you wish to leave you can leave without the prison hindering you," says Poseidon giving John the key to leave this prison which was made to hold all of Arthur's godly followers.
John took a deep breath before thinking of leaving when he gets pulled out of the prison finding himself standing on a building with a golden globe on it.
"Okay, I am not in NC nor in the Cyberpunk world but I can feel my seals and Nesiara again," says John when he suddenly feels a group fighting something strong nearby and John opened his hand before Yamato appears in his hand.
"And my weapons are back as well," says John relieved that everything returned to normality.
He took a step forward and lets gravity do the work as it pulls him down before John unsheaths Yamato creating a tear in the fabric of reality that John passes through.
He soon appears in a city that looked like a warzone going by the damage created by the battle that was taking place at the moment. He sees a grey monster fighting a group of costume-wearing people when John recognized one of them as Grandaunt Diana just younger.
She was using her shield and sword trying to hold on as she was buying time for someone or something when John walked over in casual clothes while holding only Yamato.
Suddenly a red blur appeared beside him and John could see that the person was heavily wounded but healing at a rapid speed while saying, "You shouldn't be here! It is too dangerous for a civili-"
It was all the person could say before he felt John's left hand on his shoulder when John looked at the person and says, "You must be the Flash. My grandfather and grandmothers told me a lot about you. But I don't have time to deal with you. I will give you heroes a bit of help before leaving this Universe to go to the Universe I should be at this."
Flash looked at him confused when John suddenly disappeared for a nanosecond before the Flash suddenly followed him with his eyes while everyone else was just seeing John disappear and appear again before the monster and Wonder Woman, the Flash saw just a blue blur which shocked him since he is the fastest man alive.
The monster was about to hit Wonder Woman's shield when a hand catches its fist easily and John turns to Wonder Woman and says, "Diana, take a break and let me deal with this."
"How do you know my name?" asks Diana shocked that the person before her knows her secret identity.
She saw how the monster was struggling in pulling his hand back from the man's grip when she hear, "Well, you helped raise my father to some extent since my grandmothers are friends of another you."
"Another me?" asks Diana confused when the monster uses its other fist to attack John making Diana shout, "Behind you!"
The group of heroes thought it was over as they closed their eyes to not see John's head being separated from his body when they hear, "Is that all you have got? Even Bulla can pack a punch stronger than you and she is only five."
The monster seemed to not understand him but the group of heroes did as they were surprised that John was still in one piece. John then pulled the monster even closer before planting his free hand on the monster's face and taking a good hold of it.
He then slams the monster into the ground as if it was a ragdoll and Diana asks, "Are you Kryptonian?"
"No, but my uncles and one aunt are half-Kryptonians since their mother is a Kryptonian and the cousin of your blue boy scout," says John talking at the end of Superman better known as Clark Kent who suddenly appeared from the sky as he floated slowly down.
"Am I too late?" asks Clark finding the Justice League almost defeated with John standing over Diana making him believe that John was the bad guy since the monster was still buried under a crater.
Clark flew over and attacked John who caught his fist easily when Clark feels Diana pulling from his cape and saying, "He helped us, Clark."
"Helped?" asks Clark surprised as John let go of his fist.
"Be happy that I got out in this world at exactly this time or I wouldn't have been able to help," says John as he pulls Yamato out of its sheath again and slashes at the ground killing the monster buried in the crater.
"Take this as a gift from your cousin of another universe who always looked after me," says John before pointing Yamato at the air and swinging it once again opening a rift in the fabric of reality before entering it.
"That was strange," says Clark a bit confused with what just happened before looking at his League friends who also were surprised by what John just did.
John on the other hand appeared in Night City again as he was standing in the apartment he and Nesiara lived in the last year before teleporting to Nesiara and the other.
Once there he sees a relieved Nesiara as he asks, "What have I missed?"
