We leave together

Wú Ai's POV

"I'm never going to leave you, Ai. You're the only woman I love and I don't take that for granted." he said and I turned back at him.

I hugged him and stayed in his arms for some minutes, weeping. He broke the hug and wiped off my tears.

"I'm sorry I made you cry, I only want your happiness."

"I hurt you too so I guess it's a win-win game now" I said and we both laughed.

I helped him arrange this things back and we sat on his bed, with me leaning over his shoulder.

"Do you want to talk about it now?"

"What?"

"Your past, the one that made you furious and sad. Do you mind sharing it?"

"I badly want to open up to someone but I don't know who that is or if I'll be doing the right thing"

"You can always confide in me, I promise not to let you down"

"Okay. It happens some years back, about three years ago when I fell in love with this guy. Even when my whole family was against him because he was from a poor background, I loved him unconditionally but little did I know that I was just a game to him. Someone he saw as an investment and his feelings for me was what he invested in me. I never believed he did that until I met the lady in question, she was pregnant for him as of that time but rumors had it that she had a miscarriage"

"I'm so sorry for all you had to go through in the hands of that bastard. I wish I found you earlier, I'd have shown you what true love is all about."

"You think that's all? If you do, then you're just getting started."

"Really? What happened next?"

"While I was still in love with him, my family gave me an option, either to choose him or my family. Being blinded by his love then, I chose him and in this process, I lost all my inheritance and respect. That was when I found out that he was only using me. He maltreated me, told me I was a bone in his flesh and he never loved me. He only pretended to be in love with me because of how rich my family is and since I lost my inheritance, I had become a burden to him. I decided to curb in all the pain and suffering but after two months of living with him, he brought home a lady. He introduced her to me as his legal wife and that she was carrying his baby........" I began to cry uncontrollably and Qianfan just hugged me tight. Being in his embrace makes me feel safe.

"That's enough now, Ai. Just sleep like that, in my embrace."

"No, I just want to spilt it all out at once so I can be free. I want to be free from within."

"Okay, Ai. Go on, I'm all ears"

"After he brought his wife home, they turned me to their slave and the suffering increased immensely. They even threatened to kill me so I had to run back home for help but my family rejected me and told me I was no longer a member of the family since the day I chose Shàn so I became homeless. Homeless was an understatement, the shame I faced within the town was second to none. I had to leave the town, that was how I lost my way in this forest and I've been living my life alone since then"

"It's alright now. You're safe now, Ai. I promise to be with you till the end, no matter what happens. "

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, Ai. My love for you is real and I'm more than certain."

"Thanks Qianfan. Thank you for giving me a new life, I love you so much"

"I love you too"

He stared straight into my eyes and I could see the burning fire of love in his eyes. I badly want to give him all my heart but I'm still scared to what had happened to me, I don't want history to repeat itself.

He moved closer to me and kissed me softly on my lips, I felt so good and I could only ask for more. I drew him closer as he tried to lean against the wall again and kissed me deeply. I felt relieved and happy as I locked my lips in a French kiss with him and it felt like nothing else matters. Things got heated up, one thing led to another and we ended up having a romantic sex. We slept together with his hands wrapped around me.

We woke up the next day, naked. I looked at his face, he looks more handsome when he sleeps . I gently placed a kissed on his lips and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Good morning, beautiful."

"Good morning, my Prince Charming. I hope you had a good night rest?"

"It was fabulous, yours?"

"Great, I haven't felt this much happiness in a long time. Thank you for giving this feeling"

"You're welcome. But we have to leave today."

I sat up straight, covering my nakedness with the clothes we covered ourselves with and looked at him, confused.

"Leave? We found a home here, Qianfan. Why do we have to leave and where else can we be more safe in this forest?"

I sat up as well and embraced me in a side hug.

"This is not our home and we do not deserve to live in the bush like animals, we are humans"

"So where are we going to?"

"We are leaving for the city, Ai." He said excitedly

"Really? How can we get to the city? I don't know the way out of this place"

"Well, I do and I'm ready to take you with me. Yesterday, when you saw me packing my things, I was going to leave then"

"Really? You were going to leave without me?"

"Calm down, Ai. You were mad at me and wasn't ready to talk. You shunned me at the slightest opportunity you get and I thought it was best if I left you. I'm sorry, I didn't mean. And see, I'm still here with you and I'm even taking you with me to the city. You should be thankful to me, master. I'm talking you out of this forest after so many years" he teased

"Just stop that already. Get dressed and go get some fishes. We should at least eat before we go"
