13 Can't believe it

When the guards returned to their stations, Azares quickly changed his tattered robe to another black robe different from the one the Hayndal's people knew of. He also wore a red earring on his right ear which he took from the dimensional pocket. Shortly after, his black hair changed into lustrous silver hair, and his eyes turned black. He pulled the hood to cover his face, lest someone will remember his face.

After getting a rough explanation of where the best inn is located, Azares hastened his pace. He wished to lay down on the bed and went to the dreamland as soon as possible. Not to mention his body reeked of bloody smell, he'd better take a shower too.

Thankfully, he arrived when the moon had come out. Otherwise, people could mistake him for a murderer.

Now that he thinks about it, those guards... didn't even notice his scent.

Azares sighed. Well, it's not his business.

At the entrance of Sunny Day Inn, Suye had been staring at space for almost two hours when a young man came knocking on the door. He remained silent, but he eyed the young man curiously. He was about to ask what kind of room does the customer want when the words got stuck in his throat by the impatient look the young man gave him.

Meaning, 'It's doesn't matter what kind, just hurry up.'

Suye eyes landed on the beautifully craved black-robed and immediately understood. This young man had a lot of money.

He smiled, then decisively said, "This way, Sir."

There was a bar and a dining room on the first floor. Unlike how it usually was on normal days, today the bar was empty leaving only the bartender to wipe glasses with nothing else to do. Whereas at the dining room there were only a couple of people who ate late-night snacks.

These people went stiff the second Azares stepped into the inn because they could feel the heavy smell of blood on him. Nevertheless, no one said a thing. They only took a glance and pretend as if nothing happened.

Suye didn't have any experience regarding this kind of thing so he could calmly lead Azares to the third floor.

Once Azares felt safe, all of his tense muscles loosened up. His guard was switched off and he soon collapsed on the bed. His eyelids were heavy.

What shower? He just wanted to sleep.

Sylph tsked at the sight of Azares. He didn't need to sleep, therefore he chose to stroll outside rather than staying with Azares.

---

The next day, Sylph still hadn't come back from his little stroll. Azares thought to call him, but in the end, didn't. He sat on the window sill and dazedly stared at the people walking on the street. Each of them had a happy smile hanging on their faces.

Some people carried a lot of fruits, while some carried bottles of wine. Azares guessed those things would probably be sent away to the troops.

Since the surrounding village has been attacked, the subjugation troops' arrival was like a light shining on the villagers' eyes. They were happy and relieved help has come. So nobody found it weird when the villagers want to send some gifts.

Azares didn't immediately go to the mansion was because:

1. He needed to buy a magic weapon

2. He had to gain power

He couldn't wield a sword nor use a magic staff. Either way, He couldn't become a knight or mage since they need years of training. Therefore, before he found a source of power, he must get a weapon first to protect himself.

At this time, Suye knocked on the door. "I am here to delivered your meal, Sir."

"Okay."

Suye came in with a bowl of soup, a plate of sandwiches, and a glass of juice. He politely set up the meal at the table before he backed away to withdraw.

Azares stopped him and said, "Wait."

Suye hurriedly lifted his head, "Yes?"

"Do you know where I can find a blacksmith?"

"Does Sir want to buy a weapon or order a customize weapon?" Said Suye carefully after some thought.

"Order."

Suye hesitated a little, "I don't think it can be done, Sir."

Azares frowned and said with a heavy tone, "Is there a problem?"

Suye answered with a nod, then he opened his mouth again to spill the beans. "The blacksmith home was attacked by monsters last time. So he is busy building his house right now."

"However, if Sir is looking for a ready-made weapon, he has a lot."

"There's more than one blacksmith in this city, right?"

Suye quickly denied, "There is just a master here and his apprentices. Only the master knew how to make something from scratch based on people's order."

Hearing such news made Azares felt troubled, he had no other choice. For now, he opted to wait. Though, there's no way he could calmly sit and wait. Azares rushed to finish his meal and tidied up a little. He was going to take a walk and also conveniently find some information about the subjugation. It could be good too if inspirations suddenly come to help him out of this misery.

BANG!

The window was banged opened then a strong gust of wind smashed onto his face. He didn't need to ask to know the culprit's identity.

[I'm bac-.. Huh? Where are you going?]

"A walk."

[Don't! I have something more interesting than taking a walk.]

With a puzzled face, Azares asked. "What? If it's not important, just save it."

[No way. You will be so grateful that you will kowtow to me.] Sylph waved his hand playfully. His face looked eager as if he had found a secret treasure. Azares had a problem picturing him as yesterday's Sylph who had a vicious smile.

"Okay. Spill it,"

Sylph's expression was ecstatic. His voice went a little higher. [My friend wants to meet you!]

Azares was in doubt. "Who?"

[Ifrit.]

Azares heart was thumping loudly. Is it possible it was the same 'Ifrit' that he knew? His expression faltered.

"Who the hell is that?"

Sylph's secretly rolled his eyes, but still dutifully answered. [The Fire Elemental King, you fool.]
