CHAPTER 37: Black forest’s oddity (2)
There are many practitioners gathering at the foot of black forest. Most of them are compose of groups of 5 up to 20 plus or more.
Some people even hired mercenaries with them. There are only few people who aren't in a group but as time comes more and more people come and they form a group with anyone they find agreeable.
On their left side there's a group of men who seemed to be mercenaries so zhuang lan asked in a friendly manner.
"Big brothers, why is there so many practitioners gathered in here today?" he asked with a smile.
The captain of the mercenary group who numbered up to 20 members paused, he was taken aback.
"You guys better not go in recklessly, if possible don't enter at all" he quickly gets over it as he replied with a frown when he saw that this is just a group of kids. They didn't even have any elders with them and it's dangerous inside the forest.
"right, little brother why did you guys even came here without knowing the situation beforehand?" a kind member also said.
"oh, we came here for experience learning this time and we traveled for a month to get here. We just arrived and we don't know what's going on exactly here" zhuang lan scratched his head and answered honestly.
"So that's why, you guys shouldn't go in unprepared then, there are rumors that an ancient ruin appeared two days ago and it's full of dangers but many people came in to participate as soon as they heard the news" there hasn't been any ancient ruins appearing within these thousands of years and this is the first time an ancient ruin appeared in black forest since thousands of years already.
While zhuang lan was asking, the others also came near to asked questions.
"big brother, why aren't you all directly going inside then if you all came here for that?" yu yue asked doubtfully.
"Apparently, news also spread that those who entered never came out ever again since two days ago. Besides it's located in the deepest part of the forest and we can't risk entering deeply" The team captain answered thoughtfully as he glanced at yu yue.
Although this is just a group of kids their combined strength isn't weak at all, specially this little girl, he can't tell her cultivation at all. There are only three possibilities with that, either she's just an ordinary person or she has a high cultivation than him or she's wearing something to block her cultivation. The first possibility is not plausible at all, no ordinary person dared to come to places like black forest and she's too young so her cultivation can't possibly be higher than him, so she must be purposely hiding it for some reason but it can't be any lower than her companions.
He mused quietly to himself.
Since yu yue still wear the concealment ring to hide her true cultivation and it turns invisible once worn so he can't figure her out. Last time she only hides half of her cultivation but right now she completely hides all of her spiritual qi.
Everyone turned stiff at that, they can't help but glanced at each other contemplatively.
"Should we enter the forest at this time?" hai xingze asked not worried at all.
"en, but let's be careful and just stay in the outside perimeters. Let's not go in deep" si xiao xiao said when he saw yu yue's unwavering determination.
Yu yue didn't reply right away because she's thinking of going alone for experience learning, though she didn't plan to enter the ancient ruin. She can't just leave like this right? She went all the trouble just to get in here so she won't just leave like that.
Although she didn't waver she can't be selfish and endanger everyone.
Her eyes flashed in astonishment, "are you guys sure? It would be dangerous" she said in a small voice.
"Well, knowing you this far we all know you'd be unreconciled if we just leave like this after going through a lot just to get here" tian wuxian smiled warmly at her.
"right besides we won't enter the ancient ruin" si Xiao xiao said with a grin.
Everyone also nodded in agreement with a smile.
"No one can stop this young master from eating delicious foods" little fatty wave his chubby fist.
Everyone cheered and laughed.
The mercenaries look at them dumbly; 'didn't we just say that it's dangerous? This kids are really fearless'
Though they did have thoughts like that they didn't stop them anymore. They are all cultivators and it's not rare to encounter dangerous situation and even death in their journeys.
They simply shook their heads and mind their own business.
