CHAPTER 301: the middle realm (3)

After an hour of travelling from the entrance they finally reached the other ends of the place where they could see majestic courtyards build at the steep ridges of the inside walls of the volcano.

Though, they couldn't detect other presences aside from the servants doing their stuff and few others in the topmost pavilion which looks grander and magnificent compared to the rest. This place looks too empty for a clan.

"greetings first miss and second miss." A fine slender middle age man appeared suddenly, they heard his voice before seeing his slender figure. He looks like a scholar holding a white fine horsetail whisk.

"greetings, butler de ling jiu" ming yu xue and ming yu hua greeted with a smile.

"I supposed this is third miss, and this young child is?" he smiled at yu yue good naturedly and asked curiously as he eyed the sleeping child on yu xue'ers embrace.

"he's my son" ming yu xue raised her head, she didn't even hesitate to answer. Though, yu yue could tell she was anxious as her body trembled lightly.

Butler de ling jiu's expression froze as he faltered slightly. He stared blankly at the three of them, seeing their serious expression his face changes once again. He didn't say anything else though.

"please follow me" he muttered softly as he leads them to a platform.

"we have to meet grandfather and uncle alone, let the elders take care of the others" ming yu hua said shortly.

"mmmn" yu yue hummed in agreement, the others also nodded as they followed the elders who went towards the guest hall.

Yu yue followed quietly as she observed the foreign architectural structures. She was thinking of using qingong to get to the sky pavilion so she was shocked when butler de ling jiu steered a handle and the platform started leveling up like an elevator.

Seeing her expression butler de ling jiu smiled. "since this is the third miss first time here you might not know that almost everything in here have mechanisms…" he explained proudly.

After a couple of minutes, the platform stops and they entered the hall. The sky pavilion looks ancient and simple yet the materials used were of high quality.

There are four people in the room, aside ming tai yang and yu chang lu there was also a wise old man and a gentleman on his late twenties with a kind and suave face in a wheelchair.

The moment they entered, ming yu xue and ming yu hua shuddered fearfully as their mother lock her gazes at them. She didn't say anything making them even more scared as they knew she was really angry and what she's angry about.

Yu yue thought the atmosphere was odd as she saw her mother eyeing her sisters sharply, she also saw her father gently pinching her hands.

Ming yu hua steeled herself as she gulps and smiled at everyone forcibly.

"hua'er meets grandfather and second uncle" she bowed to them and sneak a look at her parents again before calling them in a weak voice. "mother, father. daughter is here"

"xue'er greets grandfather and second uncle" after glancing at her parents she swallowed her saliva before speaking "mother, father. Your daughter disappoints you once again" she said weakly, her eyes moistened and her nose soured.

"what do you mean?" ming tai yang could already tell that something was off with his eldest daughter the moment she entered the pavilion so he asked directly before anyone could speak.
