CHAPTER 208: Striking first (2)

"what's happening?" the emperor jolted on his seat as he looks nervously at the middle age man who's raised his brows at the sudden ruckus.

"Y-yes your excellency" the emperor nodded like a henchman as he wipes the beads of sweat trickling down on his bald head.
He went outside and order his soldiers, his voice full of majesty far from what he exhibited just now. "take those intruders down, how dare they flew at the top of my palace" he shook angrily.
"yes, your highness" the captain replied respectfully, but his eyes showed disdain. He was unsatisfied with this pretentious emperor; he didn't know his true color back then. Despite his father's repeated warnings, he still goes ahead and pledge his loyalty. Now he could only bow his head unwillingly and be ordered like a dog.
When yu yue's group appeared earlier, the captain already frowned. He thinks this people's getup looks familiar, but he didn't think deeper into it as he signaled and the imperial soldiers under his command pulled the strings of their bows loaded with arrows and fired it rapidly at the intruders.

Everyone was stunned, they are the most elite soldiers yet they didn't even hit their targets. "useless!" the emperor scolded as he called his hidden guards. "kill those people quickly" he ordered quickly as twelve people quietly appeared.
They draw their weapons and flew midair full of killing intents. The silver mask holders take them head on and the battle ensued.
The middle age man looks outside with a frown as hong mei's killing intent spread throughout the entire city. "everyone, gather up" he called out and soon black robe figures flew out from all directions, there are fifteen of them at foundation establishment level 9 peak stage including the middle age man, and there are hundreds with lower cultivation.
"hmmp, who are you people?" he eyed them murderously as his breath spread out trying to suppressed everyone present.

Don't get impatient everyone, they would slowly build their romance in the following chapters. I'm doing this because I'm biased of yu yue's age, I personally don't like heavy scenes suggesting pedophiliac stuff. Hope you all understand.
