Battle Suit

After being emotional with his little brother, Clerion's father finally returned home. And as usual, he came with more equipments. But this time, they weren't used. They were all new, still wrapped up on their paper bag.

Looking the two Battle Suit at the hands of his father, Clerion knew that they must be very expensive. Clearly his father didn't bought them, it must had been given by his employer.

"Clerion, Claydon... These Battle Suits are for you." He handed the green Battle Suits to Clerion and the blue one to Claydon.

"My boss heard the news on DSU so he decided to gift you these so you can be protected. Later, you will take a video expressing your gratitude."

Claydon looked at the Battle Suits with amusement while Clerion scrunched up his forehead, although he was grateful for the gift he couldn't help but question why would his father's employer gift them with such expensive Battle Suits.

During these one week, he didn't stay idle in his room. He spent most of the time researching about this world. As he browsed in the internet, he stumbled upon an ad about these Battle Suits.

Each of them cost about 100,000 golds. Made with the finest and strongest fabric, enabling the owner to have his defense increase by 20 and agility by 5.

Clerion wanted to see if the effects were true so he immediately tried the Battle Suits on. A few seconds later he checked his watch.

It seemed like these Battle Suits were the real deal. His agility increased and his earlier nonexistenting defense finally showed up.

"Father... Aren't these Battle Suits too expensive? Why did your boss buy them for us?"

As soon as Clerion checked his watch, he couldn't help but ask his father the question had been bothering him since earlier.

Even if his father's employer was a Dungeon Explorer that earns Thousands of gold coins everytime they clear a dungeon, it would still hurt their bank account if they took out 200,000 gold coins at one time just to buy Battle Suits for their servant's children.

"Eh... My Employer just recently level up, so he received sponsorship. These Battle Suits are among those... Anyway, do you like them?"

Clerion find his Father acting suspicious, although he had more questions, he did not dwell much on it and took off the Battle Suit.

"It sucks that I don't have my watch yet." Claydon expressed regrettably as he looked towards his brother who checked his status as soon as he put on the Battle Suit.

He was still 17 years old so he will get his watch next year.

"Don't worry Claydon, you will get your own next year."

Hearing their Mother's comfort, Claydon sighed as he put away the Battle Suit. He was going to hide it away like a treasure and use it when he got his Watch.

"Claydon... You must use that from tomorrow onwards!"

Hearing his father's words, he gave him a questioning look. He was going to wear this everyday?

Wouldn't it getting be dirty and smelly if he did so?

As if understanding what does the face of Claydon meant, their father put his hand in his shoulder as if to reassure him.

"Don't worry about it getting dirty or anything, these Battle Suits are meant to be use everyday below your clothes. They have this technology that no matter how sweaty and dirty it will become, it will still remain new and clean."

The words of their father brought amazement to the two father.

"This must be one of the reason why it is expensive..."

"If you feel uncomfortable for using it everyday and not washing, why don't you washed it as soon as you come home and let it dry. By doing do you can use it again the next day."

With the suggestion of their father, the two nodded.

"Now, let's eat?"

At the call of their mother, the two brothers immediately went to seat on the table. Their father followed them behind and, not long after, he sat down in the middle of the table.

"Sigh, I'm really grateful that we are eating here together. What happened earlier at DSU, really made me nervous. Luckily you didn't go Clerion. Sometimes your laziness is helpful at some point."

As soon as his father dropped the last sentence, his mother and brother let out a chukle. Seeing the situation in front of him, Clerion couldn't help but also let out a small smile.

This kind of family was really the best, joking with each other, spending time, and really loving one another.

Hopefully, this wouldn't just become another dream.

The next day.

This time he was going to enroll at DSU for real, however, he will not do it alone. His whole family was going with him.

Even his busy father will be accompanying them, he said that he already asked a day off from his employer so his enrollment became a family outing.

Though, Claydon took an absence for today. His reason? He didn't want to be left out from the family.

Entering the campus, Clerion noticed that he wasn't the only one going with the whole family. There were also others. Looks like yesterday event brought panic, making the parents also come to accompany their children to enroll.

Although DSU was a mile away from the happening, it didn't change the fact that the victims were recently enrolled students.

Having process all the enrollment procedure together with his family, it was time to go home. However, Claydon suggested something to do before returning.

"Why don't we check what happened yesterday?"
