CHAPTER 9

THE TALK BETWEEN THE TWO

Now their eyes turn to Clein who was very confuse at the moment.

"We met?" Clein asked bewildered.

"Yes, please try to remember" Allen said coolly.

Clein was trying to dig her memory regarding their meet up. She really could not remember anything... then her memory brought her to her last years in grade school.

It was the time when she fell in love with medicine, where he met a young man who was very knowledgeable regarding herbal plants.

It was when Allen was invited by one of his close friends to visit the south for sightseeing. He met Clein at the foot of the mountain with a pocket book on hand.

Thirteen year old Clein was on her knees looking for something on the grass. Her slickly hair was long enough to reach the ground. She has flower crown on the head made by her mother.

That was the first time that Allen was stupefied on a girl. Allen thought that he was seeing a fairy of the forest. Young Clein was so beautiful and innocent that makes his heart pound wildly for the first time. It was almost the same fascination when he see something he likes but this was different.

He can only hear his heart beating in his ribcage and his legs almost give in. He must have this fairy no matter what, he thought.

He must first make sure that she was real.

"What are you doing?" Allen even at the age of twenty nervously asked.

The pair of clear eyes immediately met his. It was beautiful that made him swallow his saliva.

The young Clein saw a young man who was as tall as his father. He must be a big brother from a neighboring university.

"I was looking for this big brother, can you help me?" Allen was not able to response until young Clein showed him her pocket book containing the picture of an herbal plant.

He was very familiar with this book, because his grandfather taught him herbal medicine at a young age. Though they are not a family of doctors, their family has invested in various hospital and drug companies because of his grandfather's interest in medicine.

"This kind of plant can only be found deep in the mountain. You must not go there on your own, it is so dangerous" He said seriously. Clein's eyes brightened. This was the first time she heard someone who was knowledgeable to the book she was reading.

"You... you know about these?" Clein asked in fascination. Allen was happy inside that he caught the interest if this child. It was satisfying to see her eyes concentrated on him like it was meant to stare at him.

"Yes, we have these herbs back home. My grandfather owns a huge herb garden" Allen said proudly enticing the child. It was true they have few hectares of greenhouse garden full of both herbal and non-herbal plants.

"Really big brother? That must great I want to see it! Can you bring me there?" Clein said excitedly.

"oh it was a bit hard to fulfill. You see, only family can visit the area. Outsiders are not allowed." Now his trickery started. From then and there he had a resolve to have this girl no matter what.

This is maybe the reason why fate brought him here.

What he said was partly true. It was his grandfather's private property so no one can easily enter them.

"That's a pity. Is there any other way?" Clein ask hopefully.

"Yes, there's a way. You must be a part of our family" Allen said attentively.

"How can be I a part of your family? I can be your little sister, big brother!" Clein said like it was the most brilliant idea there is.

"I have a sister already, but I do not have a wife yet" Allen hinted.

Cleim already knew about marriage at thirteen. Of course with all the fairytale she seen in the television she had a vogue idea. Marriage was happy ever after in her mind!

Eyeing the young man in front of him, he was even more beautiful than the prince in fairytale she had ever seen, plus he has herbal garden!

"Big brother will you marry me? Hurry! marry me I promise we will live happily ever after!" Clein giggled.

Allen smirked.

"It is my pleasure to marry you. As of now we are just engage because you are not of legal age." Allen explained.

"Legal age? oh our teacher said that's eighteen right? sure!" Clein said like being eighteen will arrive a week from then.

"You must promise me, you will not marry someone else other than Allen Salviera, that's is my name" Allen wants to drill to this girl's head his name.

"Yes you will be my husband when I'm legal. No problem" Clein said excitedly with the herbal garden in mind.

"I oath to marry only you, when you will turn eighteen. This is the ought of Salviera family and it will never be broken" Allen placed a ring to Clein's finger however it was so big for her.

The ring was given by his mother as a mark member of the Salviera Family. It has S initial and the crest of the family was designed on it. At the back of the ring, the name Allen was engraved.

Allen knew their tradition. As the engagement fulfills he must give something valuable as a token of their engagement.

Seeing that it won't fit, Allen placed on her necklace like a pendant.

Clein at a young age do not have interest in jewelries. Big brother gifted her something so she should give something in return.

Clein do not have something like ring so she decided to give the bracelet given by her mother. It was gold plated bracelet designed for a mother and daughter pair.

"I don't have anything, but you can have this big brother. It was given by mother, so you must carefully keep it okay? My mother will scold me if it will lost" Clein said. Allen was so satisfied because the token of their engagement was both given by their mothers.

"So when can I visit the Herb garden now?" Allen almost vomit. He knew that this little girl was more interested on plants than him.
