44 The Palace

Author's POV:

Olivera's heartbeat increased every passing second as she walked behind Raul through the unfamiliar path which burst forth into a grand environment, after some minutes.

The Alpha's territory.

She thought, letting her eyes wander about the area which was more sophisticated and beautiful than the other areas which she had seen and stepped foot on in the pack.

There was even a water fountain, in the middle of the marble tiled estate-like area.

The buildings were the best she had even seen, high and marbled, coated with gold at some point.

The rumors were true then. She thought.

The Alpha was one of the richest, if not the richest Alpha in the region.

The bows and the looks again.

Olivera couldn't help but wonder if they would prostrate to greet the Alpha, if the Beta, or...wait. she paused in her thoughts.

What if the man walking in front of her was the Alpha's brother or cousin?
