1 Prologue: The Rings of the seven Kingdoms

'Being a king wasn't easy for me, I had to defend my kingdom In numerous battles and wars. My land was an ommission In beauty and fantacies of the nine lands. That explains why all eyes would be on It. All I want Is for happiness to reign and last for me and my kingdom, and so shall It be. A knock on the door suddenly alerts him.

"Come In". His strict yet calm voice spoke. A tall man In armour suddenly enters with his bowed head not meeting the gaze of his highness. "Your highness the councel meeting Is being held already, and we require your presence".

His highness then turns to look at the man In armour. "I'll be there". He simply said as the man In armour exits quietly. He grabs his royal robe made with golden coloured threads and designed with white embroidery stitches at the edges. He goes out of his room to find his royal adviser.

"Good day your highness". The gentle man said. He wore a slightly designed royal robe.

"Greetings Lincoln". The king greeted as they began to walk through the long well cleaned hall with flower vases at the sides of each corner.

"So...why the sudden counsel meeting, what's the agenda". "Well your highness, the counsel has summoned this meeting to talk about some issues". "Issues like what if I presume". "Issues like...trading problems with the neighboring kingdoms, export exchanges with some allies, and....you getting married sir".

The king Immediately stops In his tracks. "Is something the matter your highness". Lincoln asked with a puzzled expression. "Keep walking". As they continued walking with an Increased pase.

After a long walk In the large palace halls, they finally reached a huge black door with a heart carving. His highness just swung the door open. A long table which had men at every corner of the table sitted. All eyes flew to his highness. He just elegantly walked his way to the large table were a big chair was for him I guess. He sat gently and placed one hand on the armrest of the chair.

"Shall we procide". "Good day your highness". They all greeted, but no response from him just had a hard grin on his face with the less pleasure of enthusiasm of hearing their words.

"Your highness, the kingdom of Tridan sent some complaints to our kingdom saying that the weapons being sent to them where reported defectitable, and the require quick assurance of new and durable Imports of weapons". One of his Chancellors said.

"And your highness, King Benham of Hamington, says our Kingdom export exchanges of fruits and vegetables, were found to be rotten and contaminated with tiny creatures that has cause a huge Impact In the Increase of health hazards your highness". Another one spoke.

His highness just paid attention with every complaint with a hard grin on his face. "Your highness some of our neighboring kingdoms require a full export of farm made produce to their kingdom in the next planting season. They believe we have been cheating them In some exchanges, and that if these requests are not fulfilled, they will cut all export chains with us".

"What is your final agreement on this your highness".One of the elders spoke.

His highness just clears his throat In attempt to speak. "Lincoln, do hand me the report for the last season's trade Information". As Lincoln quietly hand him a hard cover paper sheets. His highness quietly lurks his eyes on the paper.

"As I have checked the last season's report, there are no complaint what so ever about any fault In our produce and exports. And why all of a sudden they want to file a complaint on our produce. And how dare Benham says our produce are Infected, has he checked the cleanliness and the state of his kingdoms health,....well that's a no". He said with less conceptions on the matter.

"But your highness....we don't have any prove to state these facts". One of the chancellor said with hesitant in his voice.

"Oh! Really chancellor Clifford. Well let me burts the bubble here, the want assurance for weapons, do we make faulty weapons, and If so, can they prove we sold to them faulty weapons, no!". He said strictly.

"They want all the next season's harvest cause they feel we are cheating them...". He pauses as he stands.

"So they want our beloved citizens to starve right". He said as he puts his hands firmly on the table.

"For the weapons complaint do send new weapons, and let them test the weapons before they collect It....". The room went stiff with him giving his peers, and the counsellors and elders baffled.

He continued. "Tell some of our allies who are requiring all the next seasons harvest, that that is Impossible, If they wish to cut export chains with us, fine. Will see who It affects the most". He then relax himself back on the chair.

"And for Benham, do tell our royal wizard to Investigate In the out break of the disease, and they should find a cure". He stands up from his seat.

"If they are no other futher questions may I take my leave". Before he could make a step, one of the elders stops him. As they all stood up. "Your highness please wait". As his highness looks at him with an unsettled smile.

"Yes". His highness simply said. "Your highness we have one more problem". "And what may that be". He said as the smile disappears from his face. "Your highness, please we would love It If you would have It In your heart to find a wife". Silence was what took place next after the question.

"Am sorry but that offer can't be fulfilled". He said as he walks to the door, but he Is Immediately stoped by the elder again.

"My king It would be of help If you do so. If you do so when your no more, not that It Is what I hope for, but your highness loneliness will take place someday, It will help the kingdom, and don't you think Gifted needs a queen, our beloved Kingdom Gifted needs a queen your highness".

He simply said as his highness just walked out.

.....Some where In the kingdom of Gifted. "Jinx, don't you think It would be best If you took a break". The man In a black cloak said. He was referring to a young man In a white cloak. "No master am fine". He said reading a spell book. The man In a black cloak comes close to the young man In a white cloak.

"Jinx, please go outside, take a break. It's an order". He simply said. The man in the white cloak then stands up.

"Okay master, anything that pleases you,...but where will I go". He said as he opens his white cloak. His black eyes like a stary night sky . His white hair like a sunny bright afternoon sky. He just possesses features of nature.

"Well why not go to the cave of valentine. Our beloved kingdoms most aspired land marks. You can do some research too, as you relax". His master said with excitement. "Okay master, hope I find some discoveries". He said as he left through the medium sized wooden door.

Walking on the happy environment of Gifted...the fresh breeze on his warm face. People passing by with their horses and some walking by.

He walked calmly through the street. "Jinx!!,Jinx!!". Someone yelled his name. He turns around to find a young lady running towards him. She had dark hair swaying behind her as she ran, dark brown eyes....and wore a peasant cloth.

She finally reached him. "Jinx...where are you going to this late evening". She said with both her hands on her waist. "Amilys..I told you not to strees yourself. Besides, am heading to the cave of Valentine, for some research. My master's orders".

"Hmm...I never said I was stressing myself, and can I accompany you, just for fun". She said with a dazzling smile. "Sure you can". He said politely as they began to walk towards the path outside the village.

Walking In the forest with Amilys skipping with her feets. "Jinx". She suddenly called his name. "Yes Amilys". He said as his face was looking at a spell book. "What discoveries do you think we'll discover". As she stops skipping.

He raises his head from the book, and puts It Inside his cloak. He was still putting on his cloak. "Well..It depends. We might discover something or nothing. But the best thing Is that we will learn a lesson over the time". As he smiles at her, she just smiled back.

They were still walking on the grassy forest path, as they finally reached a cave shaped like a heart. It looked eerie, but beautiful at thesame time.

They both entered . The cave smelled like the earth after the rain but sunny. Some water drops dropping on the rocky and sandy muddy floor. It made a drip sound on the Rocky ground.

"Watch your step". He cautioned her. They both walked cautiously In the cave. As they went deeper It got darker, so Jinx decided to use he's powers. He sways his hand left and right..as suddenly he's hand glows.

Amilys just looked In astonishment. They kept on walking. Jinx then stops to check he's spell book for awhile. Amilys then decides to do some exploring on her own.

She finally got tired and tried to find her way back as she trips. Her heart Instantly starts beating faster. She gulped In fear and realized that her legs were dangling from a dark abyssal pit.

She wingled her legs In attempt to get out, but It was to no avail. At that time she felt like she had lost her vioce. She then suddenly screams....

Jinx on the other hand got alerted by this. He ran calling her name. "Amilys!!!...Amilys!!". He shouted.

She began to sweat heavily. Her hands were slipping from were she held, In order to protect her from falling. "Jinx!!..Jinx!!". She screamed and sobbed.

Jinx was still looking for her In fright. He then hears her calling his name. He follows the sound and then he found her. At the last moment when she was about falling, he grabs her hands and pulls her up.

She resulted In landing Into his arms, opening his cloak. She sobbed more. He just caresses her hair. "You made me scared Amilys...,what If I lost you. I would never forgive myself If that had happen".

"Am sorry..". She sobbed more. "Hey now, don't cry". He said wipping her tears. He made her face to look at him. "The Amilys I know doesn't cry...now shh!, I don't wanna see those tears". He said with a smile as she wipes her tears.

"Now lets go home, enough adventure for today". As he held her with one arm. As they were about walking a glow Infront of them shone on them. The move their gaze from It as suddenly....

A rock Image emerged Infront of them. The rock shined so beautifully. It thens stops. They return their gaze to It, puzzled by what they were seeing.

It then split In half. Two beautiful rings then emerged from It. Their mouth just hung In amazement. "Jinx...what is that". Amilys asked Jinx as him to Is still set ablaze by this.

Jinx hesitated for a while, but then slowly walked to where the mesmerising objects were. Amilys just stood there like a log.

"Be careful Jinx". Amilys warned as he stepped closer towards the glowing objects. He then puts his hand towards itt, and grabbed them.

He turned back to Amilys whose jaws were hanging In amazement. The Rings glowed so beautifully In his hands.

"What should we do now Jinx". He just looked at her face In shock. "I-I...,think we should show my master". As Amilys just nooded in agreement.

After they got out of the cave, Jinx and Amilys ran back towards the village with both the rings In Jinx's hands folded tight. They both ran as fast as they could towards Jinx's Master's house.

Immediately they got there, Jinx went towards his master who was reading a scroll. "Master, master..master!!". He rushed towards him with Amilys standing behind him. "Yes Jinx what's the problem". He said calmly as he drops the scroll. "Master I made a magical discovery". Jinx said as he calms down.

"Well Jinx what may this discovery be". As he looks calmly at Jinx who was pulling out something from his shawl. "Here It Is master...". He's master suddenly became astonished by the sight of the rings which were glowing ever so beautifully.

"Jinx how did you find this". He slowly collects the glowing rings from Jiinx straing at them so amazed by It. "Well master It started all like this...". Jinx began to explain his discovery. Giving every detail piece by piece. "...And then me and Amilys out of no where master...,came across...these two rings". As Jinx rests on the wall.

"Jinx!". Amilys called. "Yes Amilys". "I think we should keep these rings safe, maybe they hold powers, and where there Is power evil lurks there". "Your right Amilys. What do you think Master". As he looks at him, who was lost In thoughts. "Master!". He suddenly alerts him.

"Oh!, sorry Jinx. Well, I thought It would be best we give this to his highness the King of our land. It would be safer there".

Jinx just looked dissapointed, but still agreed. "Anything which is best master". "You should take It tomorrow, It's already late". "Sure Master. We should head home now then". He's master just nods as they both exit the door, leaving with they rings.

"Jinx....". Amilys said nervously. "Hmm...what may It be". "Do you think It's a good idea to give they rings to the King". She said nervously playing with her hair. Jinx just comes Infront of her with the warm evening breeze calmly moving.

"Look, master said we should give It to the king...and I think we should. He knows what's best I guess. See you tomorrow then". He said as he gave her a warm smile and left".

Amilys just went home quietly...

The next day, Jinx Immediately started getting preparared for the visit to the King. He took the rings and headed for the Castle quickly. They seemed not to glow much today.

After a long walk to the Castle, Jinx finally arrived at the luxurious gate adorned with gems. It was being guarded by two hefty guards. Jinx just approaches them calmy. "Greetings Sirs". He greeted as they gave him a stirn look.

"State your business here". One of the guards spoke pointing his sword towards Jinx. "I'm here to see his highness, I have a discovery to convey to him". "A discovery?". The other guard said confused.

"Wait here". As one of the guards goes Into the castle.

His highness sitting on his throne majestically. "Your higness". As the guard bows his head. "Yes". He said with a hard grin on his face. "Your highness, there's a young man outside stating he has a discovery to convey to you ".

"Bring him In". After some minutes a guard came In with Jinx. Jinx immediately bows his head. "Your highness". The King just gave a pale smile. "Are you the one who speaks of the discovery uncovered". "Yes your majesty".

"So don't keep me waiting, show me what you have uncovered". Jinx just quietly brings out the rings as the began to glow even more than before.

The king was astonished by this both gave a straight face. "So..., just mere rings". As he looked displeased. "Oh!, pardon your highness they ain't just mere rings, these rings are the reason for the glowing of the cave of Valentine". He said with a smile.

"Oh! Really, well they aren't mere as I thought. Young man. What Is your name". "Jinx your highness".

"Jinx!, are you a wizard, cause that's a name for your folks". "Yes your highness I am a wizard In training".

"Well Jinx how about you become an official wizard". "Pardon?". "Yes Jinx, you become my royal wizard". He said with a smile.

Jinx was still puzzled by this but Insisteded for the King to give him some time. "Your highness what an amazing request, but can I have some time to think It through".

"Sure, but don't keep me waiting". He simply said as Jinx left. He left with the rings

He got back to his house to find Amilys. "Amilys!, what you doing here". He said shocked. She just came closer to him and crossed her hands over her chest. Hugging him tight. She pulled back and stared In to his eyes.

"Sorry for barging In but, what did the King say about they rings". "Nothing much, he just offered me a position as one of his royal wizards".

"What!, and what did you say". She siad surprised. "I said he should give me some time, but I have actually thought It out and I think I should go. I will consult Master If he approves of my decision".

Amilys just looked disappointed by his reply. "But Jinx won't you feel lonely there, why can't you just stay here". "Am sorry Amilys buy It's an opportunity and I can't waste It".

"Is not like I don't want the best for you Is just that am going to miss you". She said with teary eyes. Jinx took notice of this and looks her straight In the eye.

"Amilys, Is everything okay". She just moved away from him In pain. "No Jinx". She said with tears In her eyes. "Amilys are you okay...". As he's coming closer to her. She just moves away.

"No Jinx!, I can't loose you...I just can't". As she cleans the tears on her face. "Amilys I'll come visit. But Amilys Is there something you want to say..., your acting strange".

"I love you Jinx". As silence took place. "I'm sorry Jinx but that's the truth, I'm In love with you". She said with tears and sadness In her eyes. "Amilys...I'm sorry". He said with a sad look.

"What do you mean Jinx, please don't do this I just confessed my feelings for you and your apologizing". She said as she burst In tears. "Amilys look.....". Amilys cuts in.

"No Jinx, explain. Do you not love me back". She said as she looks at him displeased. "Amilys Is not like that, I love you as my friend and nothing more. I see you as my sister and I can...".

Amilys didn't say anything she just pushed him out of the way to the door and left. "Amilys!!, wait". She had already ran away In tears.

He just went back Inside and sat on the wooden chair.

After a while he went to his master's house. "Master". He said In a pale tone. "Yes Jinx". His master answered with a worried look.

"Master, I got a reward from the king. He offered me a job as one of his royal wizard". "So, that's a good thing. Why so sad then". As he looks at him with concern.

"Will I do a good thing If I go". As he sighs. "Sure. Jinx, sure. Go Jinx, It's an achievement". As he pats he's shoulder. "Okay master, I'll take my leave now". As he says his goodbyes.

He goes to pack he's things to leave. On he's way to the castle, he decides to see Amilys. "Hello, Is anyone home". No reply, until an old lady came out. "Oh! Hello young man, who may you seek here". "Greetings ma'am, but I seek Amilys".

"Am sorry young man but the lady your looking for just moved away". Jinx just stood frozen. "To where please". "She didn't say though, she just packed up really quickly and left".

Jinx just thanked her and left.

He headed for the palace. After a few walks, he arrived and spoke to the king about his decision and was officially made a royal wizard.

Jinx couldn't get his mind off of Amilys and her where abouts but just tried to distract himself with uncovering the powers of they rings. After some days of staying In the castle, he finally uncovered some powers of they rings. It wasn't quit practised properly but he thought to himself that It might help In some ways.

One day on a quiet evening, the King called on a meeting. It was mostly a meeting with his royal wizards, chancellors, royal advisers, and elders.

"I call on this meeting cause I am In search of a beloved queen. I presume you may have some Ideas on how I can find a suitable Queen". As they all chatter over his words.

"Your highness I may have a good Idea on how you can find a queen". One of the chancellors spoke. The king just nods for him to proceed.

"You can pick one of the most prominent princess of a kingdom and make her your queen". As the king Is displeased by his Idea.

"Anyone else...". As more and more Ideas are being said. "Your highness!, I have an Idea that will be of help". As he smiles weirdly.

"Yes do say". As he gives a pale smile. "Um...,I was thinking you pick a lady from our kingdom, someone exceptionate, that will be an amazing queen". As he smiles.

"Well It's not a bad idea, but the king asked us to find an Idea of getting a good queen, not just picking any random person on the street". One of the royal adviser said.

"Thank you for all your Ideas, but I'll find a way". The king said sadly. But just then Jinx stops him.

"Wait your highness, no need to do this on your own. I may be of help". As everyone eyes were on him. "Proceed". He simply said.

"Your highness, how about we hold a ball, like a gathering of all our prestigious fair maidens In our kingdom". As he look a bit nervous.

"But sir Jinx how do you presume this might help the king In finding a good queen". Sir Clifford said.

"Well that's not a problem, the king would be wearing the magical rings of Valentine". As they all mumbled over his words.

"But what If he wears they rings, what then". An adviser said. "Then If It shines at a lady that Is the future queen". Jinx added.

Everyone was shocked by his Idea. "Sir Jinx are you sure the rings might help". One of the elders spoke. "I'm very sure. Your highness which day do you presume Is best for the occasion". As all eyes turns to the king.

"I was thinking this coming friday at the ball room. And all lady should dress to Impress. Don't want a wayward coming to my castle". As everyone nods by his requests.

"We will make sure these preparations are made". An adviser said. "So If that is all, you may all be excused". The king said.

Chattering In the market of Gifted, people going by, trading, and just basically movements at every angle of the market square. Suddenly a loud chiming sound fills the area.

"Hear ye, hear ye". The town crier yelled. As the citizens gather to hear his announcement. "Greetings people of Gifted, I'm here once again to give you new and announcement from his royal highness". As they crowd chats over his words.

"His royal highness Is In search of a beloved queen, a fair maiden from our prestigious kingdom". As the crowds makes a lot of noice from this.

"Setlle down, settle down. Now the king Is holding a gathering for ladies who are interested In becoming not only the queen of the land but, the wife of the king. So who's up for the challenge to be the queen of Gifted. And all maidens should dress to Impress his highness. The location Is at the royal castle in the ball room this Friday. See you there!". As the crowds makes some noise.

"Dela Rosa did you hear the announcement. So are you gonna contest for the queen". A lady spoke to another lady with thick black hair, light pink lips, light skin and evening yellow sunset eyes.

"I'm not sure Miranda. I don't think I'm up for the challenge with all they pretty maidens In the kingdom". She said sadly.

"Don't worry Rosa I'll make sure you'll be dress to Impress". She smiles slightly at her.

Days went by, ladies all over the Castle. Beautiful decorations everywhere. The ball room was another exception In beauty. His highness just sat calmly on his thrown wearing the rings as he lurks his eyes all over the ball room, searching for a maiden that will persuade his eyes to her.

"Your highness, any maiden caught your eyes yet". Jinx asked. "Not really, am getting annoyed already". "Please be a little more patient your highness. I promise you'll find the right one". Jinx assured.

Moments passed by and his highness was getting Impatient.

Then suddenly, a young beautiful lady comes Into the ball room. She wore a white night dress with rose petal designs at the edges of her dress. A beautiful red rose tucked at the side of her braided hair.

His highness was caught by her beauty, that he did not hesistate to approach her. She just curtsies as his highness takes her hands and pecks her knockles.

"Greetings fair maiden. Well I say....,you look exceptionate from the rest. What may your name be". He asked anxiously waiting for her answer.

"Rose your highness, but some people call me Dela Rosa". She said shyly. "What a nice beautiful young lady. Your speech Is quit different, are you from these parts". As he pulls her closer for a dance.

"Do you mind for a dance". She just nods in agreement. "So are you from these parts". "Not really, am from Spain". As his highness just twirls her as they kept on dancing with all the other ladies gawking In jealousy.

After a few dance, his highness decides to take her some where private, the royal garden. The view was outstanding and authentic that she couldn't believe a garden could look so enchanting.

"Wow, your highness. This place is really beautiful". As her eyes scrolls on every sight of the garden. The glowing flowers and trees that emitted a natural aura.

"But not as beautiful as you are lady Rose". He compliments her as he smiles and holds her two hands warmly. "Rose I know I just met you but, I have this feeling that you are the one for me".

Rose just blushes Immensely. "Your highness I am a bit puzzled by your words". As his highness played with her hair slightly. "Don't be confused lady Rose, for I have been bestowed upon a lady that took me by first sight".

"Lady Rose would you be my queen". Rose just stood surprised. As he caressed her cheeks softly. She just nods In tears.

His highness then pulls her closer and placed one of his hands on a waist. He slowly caresses her cheeks as his face slowly comes to hers. He then kissed her with much joy.

Pushing her lips softly with his other fingers and pushes her lower lips outwards. With the Intense joy.

His highness was so caught up In kissing her that he didn't noticed that the rings he was wearing began to glow. Seconds later, he noticed the rings. Rose was confused on why his highness rings were glowing.

His highness just smiles and says.... ."I knew you were the one for me". As he hugs her warmly. Rose then pulls back from his hug and asked... ."Your highness I'm confused on why your rings were glowing". His highness juat assured her that all was well.

After some time of knowing each other, they got married Immediately, and after months Rose gave birth to twins. A girl and a boy. They were named after glorious entities. The girl "Star" and the boy "Sun".

After years of ruling as a king with his family and entrusted loyal servants, the king was happy. Not until one day when a great battle had to be won by his highness, if not his land would be at stake.

So Oneday his highness and his Queen called upon their teenage kids. "Rose, Sun, I call upon your presence for something very Important". His highness said very serious.

"What may It be father". Star spoke. Which she carried alot of resemblance to his highness. "We want to give you something that had helped our kingdom for years". Rose said.

"And that Is..". Sun said In anticipation. He looked more like Rose. "We are here to hand over to you the rings of Valentine". As Sun and Star look at eachother in confusion.

"What are those?". They both asked. "Well my children they are something that has countless words and meaning to itIt". His highness said.

"We are giving you the responsibility of they rings". As Rose shows them they rings. "One for Star". As his highness hands one to Star. "And one for Sun". As Rose hands one to him.

They both look at It with care and astonishment. "We will honour your treasures responsible father". They both said. "Me and your mother are heading for a battle and hope If we do not return you can honour they rings".

"No father you and mother shall return". Star said sadly. "Well destiny has It ways Star". Rose said.

"But why Is mother following you to war. She Is your Queen". Star was confused why. Sun just nodded In agreement to her question.

"It Is very much confusing why I accompany your father, but I am not going to fight. When you get much older you will understand". Rose gave a sad smile to her children.

"But do remember kids, do not be blinded by materialistic things. Hold they rings with your love and shower It powers with your love. We know little about It powers but hope you uncover It together". As they dismiss them.

Their parents went for war but sadly were brutally killed In the result, although they won the battle a lost had been bestowed on the kingdom. Star and Sun were so sad and traumatized by this that they grew apart and grew hatred for eachother.

All that were In their hearts were greed and selfishness.

"Mother and Father made a mistake of giving you they rings. You want to use It to become stronger". Sun looked at his sister like she was a stranger he met for the first time and hated that stranger.

"What difference does It makes, to someone who wants to keep It to himself".

In results of their hate for eachother, they both faught for they two rings, In attempt of this the rings glowed and suddenly disappeared.

They were even drawn more apart by this.

Jinx was not happy about this that he went In search for they rings. He searched lands and lands ,but could not find It. Till oneday when he casted a spell to go to other worlds. A portal appeared and he went In, In search for them not giving up.

After going through different portals of different worlds and lands,he found them. To think that they were In the right hands but sadly there where not. So Jinx planned and stole the rings back.

He then casted a spell on them that who ever seeks they rings must go on the journey of the Seven Kingdoms.

....And so they rings were gone, but not for long.
