79 Chapter 77: Storm training (part 2)

Homura looked at the person in front of him.

A man that resembled him greatly, but was older and with hair so dark that it had hues of blue tint.

It was closer than a resemblance shared between a father and son, but closer to what siblings.

- That's the character that I created...he looks like Itachi fused with Sasuke to some degree. (It's weird how he resembles both but has enough differences to be slightly different. A sibling? A cousin? A close relative?...it's just too weird...I messed up... It's a good thing that I also have white hair...otherwise if I grow into that... I will be in trouble.)

Homura looked at the character in front of himself that he created through the character creation.

Technically he created this character before reincarnating.

It was simply the character he played for years on end, on shinobi strikers.

Still, seeing it in real life...or at least as close to real life as possible was a bit of a shock.

Nonetheless, it was rather satisfying... If not a bit creepy.

It looked so much like a real person but was motionless like a doll or lacked any spark of life.

- c, all I have to do is touch it, right?

- Affirmative.(C)

- Ok. Here we go!

As soon as Homura touched his created character, it dissipated into a flash of blue light with numbers and Homura's point of view was suddenly much higher.

He was now in the same form as his avatar.

- Wow! I'm so tall this incredible!

Homura was moving his body around to see if it felt slightly different but, nothing seemed out of place.

Although, his steps were much larger than he anticipated since he was now much taller.

- It's amazing I can't really feel my body. C, is there a way to make my body more realistic?

- Affirmative. The simulation includes a realism bar, would you like to see it?(C)

-  Yes.

Suddenly a bar appeared in front of Homura. It displayed several settings and boxes, and each setting case had a line with numbers ranging from 1 to 6.

It turned out that 3 was the medium difficulty, in other words, it was normal mode and closer to settings for a game; while 6 was hard mode and closer to reality.

And 1 was basically easy mode, movements were far easier and faster.

There was close to no air pressure or gravity truly tying them down.

Homura chose the normal setting for almost all boxes available since it was the best setting for himself, but he chose to limit the pain receptor to 1.

He had no desire to be slashed or burn to death since it turns out this game was incredibly realistic. As realistic as things were in the show, which was already not very realistic.

- C, how do I choose my weapon?

- Host needs to say out loud or think the words "Weapon window". (C)

- I see. it's really like a game... "Weapon window"- shouted an embarrassed Homura.

Suddenly a lot of weapons appeared.

So many weapons that were seen in the show were present on the list, and some that were clearly not in the show such as a very long katana wielded by a one-winged angel or a weapon that was both a key and sword.

- There are too many...(If this simulation is based on both games then...) open character build!

Soon a panel with 4 custom builds opened up in front of Homura.

- Nice, it worked!

He chose the build that came with a large weapon.

It was none other than the Kubikiribōchō, also known as the Executioner's Blade!

A man-eating blade, that was famous for drinking the blood of the wielder's victims.

In reality, it absorbed the iron inside the body of the people it wounded in order to repair itself.

But to those not in the know, it looked like it used blood collected from anyone struck by it to go back to its original form.

Making it look like a cursed, bloodthirsty weapon.

Not that it had the same power in the game. It was just as sturdy as any weapon available.

The same for the simulation that Homura was currently in.

Due to Homura choosing the difficulty of damage setting of 3, none of the weapons had any weight or real cutting power against their foes and only could be used as a blunt weapon.

- Yes, this one.

*click*

Homura clicked on the setting that had the Executioner's blade.

And true to the game-like setting, Homura's clothes changed as well after the blue light once again enveloped his body.

After the transformation was over, it revealed Homura in a different outfit from the original casual outfit with the Uzumaki logo on his back that he was sporting.

He was now sporting a kirigakure ninja shinobi attire that was mostly black but his flack jacket was of dark color violet.

As well as gray-colored bracers and greaves which merge into his sandals.

- Wow, sweet! (I look pretty badass. Mist ninjas have the best attires of all 5 major  shinobi villages!)

After Homura finished his little geek moment, he then turned off all the other windows.

- Character select! 1v1 match.

A new panel appeared immediately after Homura shouted.

Within it, many characters from the franchise were on display.

There were so many characters available.

Ranging from the many forms of Naruto Uzumaki to even filler characters he knew of or had slight passing remembrance of, to even the Ootsutsuki clan members and even characters seen in Boruto.

- That's definitely a lot... that guy is from a game, right?

Homura said looking at a man with green eyes and blond hair that features fringe bangs with upturned spikes in the back and a topknot in the shape of a crescent moon.

- Yep. I don't remember him at all, he has to be from a game...*sigh*... This is too much. C, is there a character that is friendly to a beginner like me?

- Affirmative.(C)

Suddenly the figure of 12 years old Naruto Uzumaki appeared in front of a surprised Homura.

- N-naruto!? R-right he's just a replica. Phew! (I almost had a heart attack.)

Seeing Naruto appear out of nowhere and much taller and older than the one Homura knew made him panic.

But the fact that this Naruto wouldn't open his mouth at all reminded Homura, that it wasn't the real Naruto.

- So this is your choice, C. Why him though?

Homura was really confused as to why C, had chosen Naruto to fight him, not only that but the weakest version of Naruto available.

- Uzumaki Naruto is the most balanced character available and perfect for beginners, your chances of succeeding against him are the highest. Furthermore, he is the best character for you to learn the mechanics while fighting. Although the tutorial is also an option (C)

-...(this bastard is taking me too lightly! I have the executioner blade with me, I will tear him a new assh*le in that flamboyant jersey of his ). No that's fine... Sorry Naruto, but you will be the first towards my greatness; don't think too badly of me.

-...(Naruto)

-... Right, it's a dumb fighting program... Ok! Game Start!

After Homura uttered those words, Naruto did a backflip and took out a kunai with his left hand, and then took a fighting stance.

- Alright, I'm going to win this!  (Naruto)

-... pff! This is going to be easy.- said Homura while pointing his over-sized blade at Naruto with one arm.
