28 The Quarrel Between Friends

Luo Li was furious at the mess that had been formed. She had faced great difficulty to control her emotions and not let it show on her face. It took a sudden turn of events. It was not exactly their plan to leave this house to Mei Wang and Kevin. In fact, their original plan was to let Kevin live with them, so they could keep a close eye on him and think about the further process.
It was not that they didn't have a strategy against these scum humans. They wanted to trap Mei Wang and Kevin in a honey trap of beauty, desire and lust.
Unfortunately, their plan was completely ruined by that foolish Kevin Evans. They wanted to proceed slowly and let those brainless people slowly trust them. After that one of them would take Kevin far from the Mei Mansion and end his life there.
However, Kevin Evans, whose mind was always stuffed with lust, could not control his actions even for a few days. He did not even apply the same method as Mei Wang. Mei Wang was slowly trying to win the heart of Luo Li but Kevin was an inpatient person. He directly approached Aman to share a bed with him.
Of course Aman rejected him. He was completely disgusted with this offer. But…. He had to show Kevin some sincere feelings in order to win Kevin's trust completely. That was why he gave him the porridge made with medicinal herbs.
Kevin's hastily done actions made him the target of thrashing of Mei Wei. In Luo Li's eyes, what Mei Wei had done was the right thing. After all, if someone had touched her loved one inappropriately, she definitely had bitten him without a second thought and given them a venomous kiss.
For the entire day, she and Aman were still thinking about further steps that may lead them to the inevitable demise of Kevin. She also had another problem that was worrying her a lot. And it was not related to Kevin or even Aman's revenge...
She was completely shocked when Aman announced that they were going to leave the house. That was why she was standing like a statue there and didn't say anything.
Moreover, she trusted Aman and she knew whatever Aman decided there must be some reason behind it. Thus she kept silent. What was more shocking to her when Aman actually ordered them to pack their luggage.
But now, she had to talk with Aman before they actually left the house. She could not let Aman go alone because Nagraj had appointed her for this purpose, to always stay with Aman and keep him safe. But she was also a partner in Aman's mission and she wanted to know the reason behind Aman's actions….
If Aman was thinking about going away and postpone their plan because of Mei Wei's happiness, she was not going to accept this. Of course, she was not an ungrateful person. She respected Mei Wei's wishes, she knew it was very difficult for him to tolerate these people in his own house.
But it was also the truth that both she and Aman's main motive to live in this house was to complete Aman's revenge. A mere human's feelings shouldn't matter to them than their revenge. According to her opinion, no matter how much Aman liked Mei Wei but at the end of the day he should choose his revenge over Mei Wei's feelings. She could not let Aman distract from his path. If they failed in their mission, she did not know how she would face the disappointment of her mother and Nagraj. No, she could not afford that...
She did not know why but she felt that wherever Mei Wei was concerned, Aman was drifting away from the path of his revenge. And distraction was absolutely intolerable in their plan. She must warn Aman about this matter.
With so many thoughts in mind, she was walking towards Aman's room to get the answer to her many unanswered questions…

Aman was packing his stuff one by one in his suitcase. He had already packed and hidden his secret stuff. And, his most beloved thing was already safe and near his heart. He placed his hand on his left side and showed a bright smile….
He did not have too many possessions to pack. When he first came to this house, he only had a few pairs of human clothes. But as the time passed Mei Wei insisted upon giving him different things. If he ever dared to decline, 'Aman! If you don't accept my gift your prince won't talk to you ever!' was the empty threat he got.
He smiled at the memory of Mei Wei's childish behaviour. He always liked Mei Wei behaving coquettishly with him. Mei Wei was a child who has little to no parental guidance since childhood, but even after this, he had such a great personality and likable character. Regarding this situation, he felt that Mei Wei was the same as him.
He was still lost in thought when Luo Li suddenly entered his room. She closed the door behind her. She tapped her right foot four times on the ground and whispered in a barely audible tone, ""Dhvani Badhya¹.""
She stood still in front of the door. Her expressions were quite difficult to read for him. He smiled at her and asked, "sister Li, what are you doing here? You should go and pack your luggage fast."
However Luo Li had another question, she looked at him and asked in a flat tone, "why are you doing this, Aman?" She sounded like she did not want to have this conversation.
Aman looked at her confusedly, "what do you mean sister Li? You were also present downstairs when everything happened. Isn't it obvious?"
"No it's not Aman. Just tell me the reason why are we leaving this house and drifting away from our original plan?"
Aman sighed, "we are not drifting away sister Li. You know about their behaviour. It's completely intolerable. Today, he tried to molest me, what if he tries to do something…. so I thought about moving somewhere else. We can proceed further from there."
Luo Li knew Aman was only trying to avoid the question. But Luo Li was not buying this. She still pushed the matter, "I am not buying that Aman. You are far more powerful than to let anything of that sort to happen. Now, tell me the real reason."
However, in spite of Luo Li's persuasion, Aman still stood firm with his statement, "this is the real reason, sister Li. I have already told you, why are you being so persistent today?" He complained about Luo Li's behaviour.
Aman was puzzled over the situation that Luo Li was behaving oddly today. She looked somewhat angry and frustrated. Aman had guessed the reason behind it but he did not want to answer the questions Luo Li wanted to ask.
He avoided Luo Li's eyes that were trying to look straight into his soul and get her answers. He again started packing his stuff.
This time he picked up a pink coloured teddy bear. The teddy was a small stuffed animal which was the size of the palm of his hands. He still remembered the day of ²February 10, last year when Mei Wei gifted him this small stuffed animal. Mei Wei gave him some little trinkets for that entire week. From then on he always took the teddy with him wherever he went.
He smiled and poked the triangle shaped black nose of the little animal.
Luo Li was watching all of this. After seeing Aman smiling silly at the little animal, she was more sure about her earlier speculation.
Aman was going to poke the teddy's nose again. However, his movements stopped when he heard Luo Li saying, "you know what the real reason for you doing all of this is? You are doing this because you don't want to see an unhappy Mei Wei."
Aman did not say anything. But he still avoided Luo Li's eyes and looked at the ground. Luo Li continued speaking, "You also know that Mei Wei would never raise his hand on his own father. But on the other hand Mei Wang would not even think for a second before beating Mei Wei. You can see and bear everything but you can't see him in a slight pain."
"Now this is the real reason you want to leave this house, not because you are scared or anything. Am I correct, Aman?"
Aman was facing some difficulty to speak now. He spoke slowly, "....yes…...you are right sister Li. But... I think we can work more effectively if we live away from them."
He knew it was not true that they could work more effectively. On the contrary it may create more problems for them. But he could not let Mei Wei stay with these beasts and suffer daily because of him. He could think about something else to do with Kevin while he was away.
Luo Li was getting impatient, "yes we can Aman but it would bring more problems in the way of our plan."
"Aman you should not let your feelings take over your capacity to think."
"Yes, sister Li."
"I also respect Mei Wei's wishes but at the end he is a mere human for us. You must understand this."
"I understand."
"Your lo- like for Mei Wei is blurring your main motive to live in this human world."
"No, sister Li."
"You should not forget that we are also fighting with these humans. You should concentrate on your revenge."
"Yes."
"I just think that wherever Mei Wei is concerned you are drifting off from the path your revenge."
"Luo Li!"
Aman warned her and for the first time since they met, Aman used her full name.
However, Luo Li ignored his warning. She was venting her frustration on Aman without even realising it.
She continued her rant, "no Aman, listen to me. You are not focusing enough on your revenge."
Aman did not say anything now. He clenched his fists in anger. However he was trying his best to be in his right mindset and not say anything hurtful to Luo Li.
After that Luo Li said something which she should not.
"Aman I don't know why I feel like you are forgetting about your revenge."
"Luo Li, stop!"
"I won't stop Aman and you know what, I sometimes think you are even starting to forget Him!"
That was the moment Aman lost his temperament. He stood up angrily. His kind chocolate brown eyes suddenly turned into the green eyes with vertical black pupils.
But what was the most shocking thing was that all the curtains and bed in the room suddenly caught fire!
There was not even any source of burning fire inside the room that could cause this accident.
He shouted in a clear but loud voice, "Luo Li of ³Ahie clan. Never dare to say that I am forgetting Him or my motive to revenge!"
"I, for once can forget to breathe BUT I can never forget Him! The moment I forget Him, I won't live to witness the next second!"
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!!"
Luo Li was shocked beyond the limits at the sudden outburst of Aman at her. All the words she was going to say were suddenly struck in her throat. Her hand was still in the air. Her long fingers looked like a person's who was going to lecture someone. Her mouth was open agape. She slowly nodded her head.
But Aman was not done yet, he continued, in a loud, clear and commanding voice, "And always keep in mind who you are addressing while talking."
"ALSO! Learn how to shut your mouth when needed. Otherwise, I have many ways to shut someone's mouth, Either temporarily or PERMANENTLY!!"
"NOW this Prince is ordering you to go and pack your luggage. You shall follow me wherever I go. And you may not raise any more arguments, Luo Li of Ahie Clan."
Luo Li stood still at her place. She was not moving at all.
Aman raised an eyebrow and spoke in a non-arguable tone, "The command shall be obeyed."
He was speaking slowly and clearly. Luo Li's eyes were starting to water but Aman did not see them. She bowed and saluted Aman, "your command will be obeyed, your highness."
As she said this, she opened the door and retreated.
Once inside the room, she broke down. Shiny tears were pouring out from her eyes. She was obviously hurt.
But before she could further reflect upon the things that happened just a while ago, her phone rang.
She looked at caller ID and tried to collect herself. Because it was the call from the person she cared about more than herself. Someone, because of whom she was stressed out for the entire day.
She might have probably lost her control over herself because she was completely stressed over the said person's situation….
