Chapter 57

My first order of business is making sure my army is sufficiently powerful. I could try to conquer worlds without them, but that would be tiresome. Hela and I are extremely powerful, but the famous saying work smart and not hard isn't famous because it is wrong.

I was currently on Perfectum where Jormungandr and my draconic son reside. It wasn't time to bother them yet, my youngest son was too young to be entangled in a war, and I would prefer it if Jormungandr was here to look after him.

Arriving at my treasury, I go toward the Omnitrix. I created it originally to just be able to change into various different alien species. It was a smart move that caused my skill set to become more versatile, it would have become one of my best tools if my magic didn't take the spot. Still, it was powerful, and even more so since I found out how to bring the creatures into reality as my personal summons.

They were a decent army, way better than the chitauri but limited in numbers. As of this moment, I can only materialize about a few thousand of these creatures. They were more quality than quantity. If I want to look at a quantity though, I can just look towards Hela's little groove.

I can see how my family, learning about me marrying the one who killed their father/husband, is a problem. Luckily I have a genius idea for that fallout, and that is letting it be the future Loki's problem. My mother is less likely to find out since she doesn't pay attention to politics anymore and has practically retired.

As for the problem about the one who helped Hela fight the others. I can just pretend I killed him and forced Hela as my consort. It's a shitty plan and as I said, it's the future Loki's problem. I detach myself from my musings and focus on the task at hand.

I gathered the forces, my few thousand soldiers and the millions of other creatures Hela slaughtered throughout the years. The ones Hela killed were the species in the realm she was imprisoned in, and the ones she met over the centuries since I freed her. They weren't the best since Hela's body was limited, she could use her magic, but was a glass canon.

With those ready, the question is what to do next. The Nova Empire and the Kree Empire are in the progress of trying to forge a peace treaty. It is barely in the negotiation phase and it can take weeks before real progress is made. That estimate might sound ridiculous but we are dealing with the Kree.

The Kree Empire are many things, sensible isn't something I would list. When one of their members slaughtered Xandarians left and right in the Guardian of the Galaxy movie, did they condemn his actions? No, the ambassador was like, nah mate, that ain't my problem.

Should I use subterfuge to get the two groups fighting once again while I sneakily conquer their worlds, or choose a more reckless approach and decide to fight a war on two fronts?

Decisions, decisions. All I know is that I want it to happen with a bang. Another situation is the convergence that would be occurring in a few weeks. It isn't necessarily a problem, since without the reality stone Malekith would be nothing but cannon fodder. Although not a problem, it is a huge opportunity since it would allow me to get my hands on my most sought out infinity stone.

Irani Rael Pov:

I am not looking forward to another meeting with the ambassador of the Kree. I have never in my life met more of an irritating creature. I prepared to shoulder through since it is for the benefit of my people, the Xandarians and the rest of the Nova Empire.

Unfortunately, the Kree Emperor wouldn't be able to attend due to various reasons such as his people rioting when news of the peace treaty was discovered. He was one of the better Kree members that I have met. My musings are interrupted by the arrival of the Kree ambassador.

"Ambassador." I politely greet the bald blue man. This session is being recorded for the public of not only the Nova Empire, but also the Kree, so it was important for proper conduct. It was supposed to be a secret affair, but since the secret has already been exposed, there was no point to hide it any further.

"Nova Prime. Can we make this quick? I have important businesses to conduct." He said dismissively. I simmer down my rage at the prick. As if ending centuries of war isn't important enough to him.

"It is prudent that we figure out how to settle this agreement as quickly as possible, for the good of the people."

"I have told you, we won't accept the terms until Xandar has given us compensation for all the deaths it caused our kind for centuries." He told me.

"You are being unreasonable. We have suffered at the hands of your people as well. Do not try and play the victim card." That was my reply. My tone was stiff since I didn't want to display my distaste for him in front of billions of people watching. "State your terms for this and we will state our terms."

He scoffs at me. "What terms do you want, this peace treaty is one that you are begging for. Why should we offer compensation for you."

"Your emperor also agrees that peace is beneficial for our people," I said and I could see him holding himself from scoffing at my reply. I guess he wasn't happy with his emperor's decision, which boggles my mind on why he would even have such an important position. We argue for several more minutes, with neither of us really giving ground.

"It is time for me to leave. I hope you would be more reasonable next time." He said before turning around and leaving.

Counting to ten. I ignore the urge to set my guard on him. As I was about to adjourn the session, my guard turned and fired his weapon at the back of the ambassador. The next moment all I saw was shots being exchanged between the Kree guards and mine. It lasted until all the Kree were dead since they wouldn't surrender. Looking towards the camera, I just now realize we were still live.

Loki Pov:

That was a bit unsubtle for my tastes, but the Kree just wanted an excuse to continue fighting, and no matter what the emperor tries now, his people would overthrow him if he doesn't get revenge.

The peace treaty between Nova and Kree is happening earlier than what it is supposed to by weeks or months, which meant I had to prioritize this. I will still get the reality stone, but since it would be such an easy task during the convergence, I am not truly paying much attention to it.

Another good thing is that the Kree would try a heavy attack, so a lot of their respective empires would be weakened and I will have an easier time coming out on top. Truly frightening what a dash of mind magic can do at the right times.

Returning to Perfectum, I continue my preparations for the war. As soon as they attack each other, my fight will commence.
