1 Chapter 1

I was thought I was lucky when I was born. When I grew up my parents found out I had an eidetic memory. Of course for the most part I didn't know what it meant, the concept of forgetting things was utterly foreign to me. As I aged I saw how my peers were utterly slow in remembering things from singles pages and I got the gist of it. Of course, even though I had a perfect memory didn't mean that my brain processing power was far behind. This may have caused me to obtain a minor superiority complex and my progress compared to others in school didn't help. Although I didn't shove my arrogance in people face I was far too smart to show my disdain for people in the open, I still thought of them below me.

As I skipped grades and expanded on my education I got an unwelcome and unluckily surprise. I had a terminal illness and wouldn't live for more than 5 years. I was 13 at the time and already in university. A normal person would sulk, gain acceptance or try and enjoy the last few years of their life. Unfortunately, my pride wouldn't accept that a genius like myself could die so easily so I thrust my entire being into my studies to graduate and find a cure. Unfortunately by the time I graduated I was already bedridden and could nothing, but be bitter about my poor fate. I didn't have the finances to research the disease I had and it was too rare to get proper data so I had to accept my fate.

In my final year, I mostly spend it reading fictional books and watching movies as I for the first time had time to indulge in it and wanted to spend my last living moments at least enjoying myself. As I watch movies such as the avengers or dc movies I couldn't help but be bitter at all the potential of being born in such a world, unfortunately, I was fated to die in a mediocre world with a mediocre death. As I lay there on the verge of death I can't help but feel scared for my awaited faith, for someone who prided themselves in knowing a lot the mystery of death was frightening. I never was a religious person so I didn't put any faith in that and when I was younger I thought I would find a way to make myself eternal to not have to worry about the events after death.

When I took my last breath I expected oblivion, hell or maybe even heaven if I was lucky. What I got was a giant blue monster staring at me.

"Is this supposed to be my son?" It looked at me with disgust and moved over to a woman who was cowering. "We are at war with the Aesir and I was given a weak heir, he is barely the size of average frost giants babies, guards dispose of the mother and abandon the babe to see if it can survive and be welcomed home."

After a little bit of contemplation, I figured I was reborn with all my memories, I wanted to shout for joy and then remembered the blue creature words I was scared that death would be my fate so soon after I was given another chance to prosper. My vision already stopped being blurry by then and I could follow things with my eyes which was my only information. The place I found myself was wasteland with dour structure. Fortunately, I wasn't killed only abandoned and placed in a temple.

A few months passed and I found out that I was reincarnated as a frost giant and not just anyone the son of Laufey the King of the frost giants. The source of my information was the guard who was ordered to dispose of me and my new mother. I wasn't named, but I suspect I was Loki since the events are like the marvel movies, with Asgard and Jotunheim at war. I was afraid that I was going to starve, but luckily I found out the cold of Jotunheim could somewhat sustain me, but it wasn't the best source of energy.

As I was about to curse my baby body for the millionth time I saw a middle-aged man with a spear walking towards me. He had one eye and the place where his other eye was supposed to be was only bloodied. For who else could it be other than the all-father, I thought to myself. I stop faking sleep and began to cry. The past few months I perfected my baby acting, it wasn't very difficult for someone who could remember every baby he ever saw and who had months of free time to do anything to stave of the boredom. I began acting as a proper baby and hope this titan of a man doesn't have any methods to see I was reincarnated. I wouldn't be surprised he had, since he was hailed in many tale as a god of wisdom and a magic behemoth to top it off

He picks me up and gently rocks me in his arms. "From now on you will be Loki Odinson, little one." He gives me a once over." With you, we can finally obtain peace between our two kingdoms."

I take in this new information and can't help but bask in this new information I was given. Living your second life in an advanced society where tech and magic are above your previous worlds' and as a prince would cause any person to celebrate. Even though I am excited I don't stop acting like a baby. I am just glad the old man doesn't have gadgets to pinpoint someone soul age or a similar stupid power that would fuck up my life.

He smiles down at me and I began to feel a change. I look at my arms and see that it was changing from blue to white. I marvel at the casual display of power and I can't wait until the day comes when I can perform such wonders.

As I look back up to Odin he says. "Heimdall sends us back."

The next moment a vertical rainbow envelopes us and the next moment we were quickly travelling through it. I was initially frightened that light may destroy us, but quickly understood it was the legendary Bifrost. The whole scene changed and as I looked around I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty that was Asgard. It was an architect's wet dream and even something normal people could gawk at.

I don't have enough time to enjoy the ascetics when Odin suddenly teleports us. I subtly admire my surroundings and find myself in a palace. If the view from the rainbow bridge was amazing then the palace could be considered as nothing less than godly. He finds a private room and I see another baby lying in an advance cot.

"There you go, rest with your new brother while I sort things out with Frigga." He deposits me in the cot. "I will have servants come to feed you soon."

I find it weird that he is talking with what he perceives as a baby, but don't mind as it gives me information. Servants soon come and feed me until I am satisfied as I lay next to what can be only be Thor the future god of thunder or that is at least what normal people will perceive him as.
