CH 6: The Demon King's Choice

When Diablo was reminiscing the past, 'It' suddenly remembered something and asked Sebastian.

[Sebastian, you said that Uncle Igor returned safely but what about others?]

Diablo always thought of Igor as his uncle because Igor. Despite being the most powerful knight in the Demon Realm, he was quite popular with younger generation due to his kindness for innocent kids.

And because of Diablo's childness, Igor also used to saw Diablo as an innocent child. Igor was also one of the few people who knew about the plans against the Hero.

Igor knew that none of those plans were good for his King. And he could not think of any other plan since the Hero and his party were not in any mood for any peaceful negotiation and those Origin gods would also not let that happen.

As for running away or hiding, Hero and his party would definitely not stop until the Demon King is killed, which could result much more casualties. The Hero and his party had already killed some innocent demons.

All Igor could do was to request, to fight the Hero and his party, along his fellow members. So that If they succeed, they wouldn't have to use any of those plans.

But Hero and his party was much stronger than they thought which resulted in a disastrous result.

As Sebastian heard his King's question, he didn't know how to tell his King about that and all he could was stand still in silence.

As Diablo saw that Sebastian was having difficulty in informing something. Diablo immediately understood that other members couldn't make it alive.

[You don't have to tell me Sebastian. I understand that they couldn't make it back.]

As Sebastian heard this, he couldn't say anything to his King.

[It's all my fault. If I hadn't allowed them to go, all of them would had been alive right know.]

Even through Diablo's strange voice, one could feel a sad emotion in it. And If there were tears in Diablo's eyes, Diablo would had been crying right know.

"Your Majesty! You don't have to blame yourself about this. They knew that they could be killed if they confront the Hero and his party, but they still go because they cared about you. They didn't wanted you to be sad or hurt because of the Hero."

Sebastian quickly began to respond to his King as soon Diablo began to blame itself for the lost lives. This showed how much Diablo cared for it's people.

And after witnessing the kindness of his King, Sebastian finally decided to which plan to choose and resolve himself to told about it to his King.

"Your Highness, I sincerely request to you to summon from the Abyss to stop the Hero and his party."

[What!?]

Even Diablo was surprised as soon as Sebastian said this because this was no different from madness. The disaster caused by the self-proclaimed Abyss King was still not completely forgotten yet.

Abyss King was most troublesome enemy that Diablo had ever fought. And even after it's defeat, they still couldn't completely kill him since he wasn't under control of this world's law. So all they could do was to seal him completely within the underground dungeon, where he resided.

Since then everyone in this world considered it a great Taboo to make any type of connection with the Abyss. And now Sebastian was telling to summon a being from that very Abyss.

[Sebastian! What are you saying? I thought we would use that method only when have no other option. And you were also one of them, who had declared it taboo. So, why?]

"Your Majesty, I know that you can easily defeat the Hero by yourself but I don't think you are in any condition to able to do so."

When Diablo heard this, It didn't know what to say. After what happened in the Great War, Diablo had created a trauma against any fighting.

And after the Abyss King came to this world, Diablo only joined the war when the situation had became very critical for all of them.

Finally Diablo defeated and sealed the Abyss King but It also made It's trauma more worse.

So Sebastian feared that even If their King defeated the Hero, their King's trauma could also became even much worse. And Sebastian definitely didn't wanted this.

"Your Majesty, please I ask you accept my request. And as for the summon, I had already prepared everything necessary for this in case we ever needed to use them. If their is no any variable, then there is 80% chance in the success of this plan according to my calculation."

Even when Diablo heard the assurance about this from Sebastian. Diablo still couldn't make any decision since this was no small matter. But after seeing that Sebastian wouldn't give up until a choice is made.

Diablo finally decided and sighed.

[*Sign*.... Fine, we will use your method, now so what do you want me to do?]

As soon as Sebastian heard this, he felt relieved and when he was about to answer his King's question. A commotion begin to happen outside the Throne Room. From the noise, It was like many people were trying to stop someone from coming here.

When Diablo heard the commotion, Diablo opened he giant door without even moving from the throne.

Outside the Throne Room, the reason of the commotion could be seen. Few soldiers without their helmets could be seen trying to stop a single man covered in bandages.

All the soldier's faces could now be seen without helmet and each of them had a common thing despite their different faces. Each of them had a pair of horn on their heads and had dark skin. Of course they were not humans, they were all demons and it was same for each soldier in grey armour outside.

As for the man, they were trying to stop. He was taller and much more muscular than those soldiers. With dark skin, dark purple colored eyes and black hair which could be seen. Even when his head and body was covered in bandages, his handsomeness still hadn't lessened and he still had enough strenght in him to be able to move forward despite his some soldiers clinging to his body.

As they came close enough, Sebastian and Diablo could see who the bandaged man actually was. He was none one than the strongest knight of whole Demon Realm.
