CH 24: One-on-One.....

One hour before Arthur and others met 'him'.

{Kai POV}

It had been three days since I came to this world. During those days, I've been preparing myself for this day.

First I trained many times with Igor to familiarize myself with this body of mine and than with the help from Sebastian I trained myself to control the power of this world, Mana.

During these days I didn't dare to waste any time in either sleeping or even any break. Knowing full well that in my current state, It is almost impossible to defeat Arthur and others alone.

Well, Diablo was quite worried about me for not resting at all but this body strong enough to withstand two whole weeks without any sleeping or rest.

And now that day has finally come to confront them. At first Igor had suggested to let the Hero and his party come inside the Castle.

There they would had an environmental advantage over the Hero. But Sebastian and I denied It as Arthur was much stronger to easily overcome such disadvantage.

And there could also be many casualties If we let Hero inside the Castle. So now the plan is the I confront them alone outside the forest surrounding the Castle.

Diablo was against It at first about after hearing our plan he calm down, for now.

'Alone It would be even hard for me to face them all alone but If my plan works I'll be able to defeat them.'

As I was thinking this, I was right now walking the path within the forest leading me outside.

The entire forest was eerily black and silent, maybe because of black colored trees making such atmosphere.

And I could sense many traps within this forest both magical and physicals. Sebastian had told me that he had personally managed the traps inside the forest.

And he had also installed an high-level illusion spell that make anyone inside the forest lost forever inside It and also leads them to directly into traps.

But because of the existence of Saintess, Mia, with the the Hero. It would not have much effect on them as she could easily dispel It's effect on them.

Sebastian had dispelled It's effect on me so I could travel through the forest safely.

'I could lead them inside the forest to confuse them, use the traps around here and ambush them. But this would only works on ordinary humans not the monsters like them.'

So after walking for quite a while, I finally come out of the forest. Everything outside the forest was barren, ground with cracks on them due to dryness.

After seeing the view, I silently sat on a big rock nearby, facing towards the forest.

I then began to examine myself. Before coming here, Diablo was quite worried that he had given me a black orb.

At first It didn't looked so impressive but I was told that It has the ability to transform into any inorganic material, meaning that I could transform It either an armor or a weapon.

And that armor or weapon would also be as strong as a highest quality material.

So now that I was wearing It, my appearance had completely changed. It was like I was a Shadow or a Ghost.

It even made a Katana shaped sword in my hand along with a scabbard. Not only that It was longer than original Katana and was also comfortable within my grip.

Like a master blacksmith had made this only for me. Even my armor was quite compatible with my body and quite cool looking too.

As I was immersed in observing my appearance, I felt an intense gaze on my back. Likely from the Hero or from one of his members.

But I didn't move myself towards them. I waited until they were close enough.

Only when I was able to heard their footsteps clearly then I stand up from the rock and turn towards them.

There were confusion on all of their faces as they saw me. Likely because they weren't informed anything about me or they were seeing something like me for first time.

'They…don't look much different from when I saw them last time. It's like It had been only few months.'

I had saw them before in the recording before. Now I saw them face-to-face, I can now able to see more clearly.

As I was observing them one by one, when my eyes fell on the sword-woman, Ayaka. My emotions which I had suppressed for so many years began to rise, like It wanted to erupt like a volcano.

But I hurriedly control them back.

'This is not the place and time to be emotional.'

After telling myself, I shifted my gaze away from her who was giving me a confusing look too like others.

"Hey Suzuki, Is that thing Demon King?"

Asked a small red haired girl, whose name maybe was Rem from another mature looking girl, Suzuki.

"No, He or she is completely different from the Demon King that the Goddess Elena had showed us."

Because of my appearance , I slightly resemble Diablo but she had looked Diablo's appearance from a Goddess before. So she didn't think of me as being Diablo.

And maybe due to my shadowy figure and long ponytail, which I had tied before coming here. She couldn't found about my gender surely.

"It doesn't matter what that….thing or person is. Since It was sitting outside the forest likely waiting for us and because of It's appearance, Its highly that It's an enemy."

It was suddenly Arthur who spoke and simply blamed me as an enemy. Well I was an enemy in this situation.

"Yes, you are right."

After hearing from Arthur, Suzuki agree with him and began to prepare along others for incoming battle.

But I ignored them and silently draw my sword outside It's sheath, my sword was also complete black color but It's blade shining and reflecting light like a gem.

And I pointed the tip of my sword towards Arthur, who was also about to take out his sword.

This action of mine surprised and confused Arthur and others.

But maybe understanding after a while Arthur smirked.

"So you want to fight with me, huh?"

Arthur replied with a small sign of mockery within his voice. But I remained silent and looked towards him without lowing my sword towards him.

Seeing that I would not respond at all. Arthur not pleased with It replied with slight anger.

"Very well then I shall fight you alone."

"What are yo-!?"

"Don't stop me Suzuki. This time I want to fight alone."

When Arthur accepted to fight with me alone, Suzuki tired to stop him. But Arthur didn't listen to her.

"And besides I had already defeated the Demon Realm's most strongest knight. There is no way that a nameless person could defeat me."

After hearing this Suzuki couldn't say anything to stop him also know how stubborn he was.

"Yes! Go defeat him Arthur!"

"Y-Yes, D-Do It Arthur."

"Hmm"

"*Sigh"

Rem and Mia began to cheer Arthur and Ram and Ayaka only nodded to him. As for Suzuki she could only sigh after watching agreeing with It.

Seeing that no one was now opposing him, Arthur began to walk towards me and took out his sword which was glowing lightly similar to hero's swords many mentioned in fairy-tails.

And he only stopped when he was only ten steps away from me.

"So I'm here now. Don't run away after this, okay."

After say what he wanted to raised his Light Sword.

Responding to him, I also raised my sword and took a stance. With my sword in my right hand and It's scabbard on my left hand.

But no one there knew that I was smiling inside.
