12 Chapter 11 Magic

How should I level my flame magic? I can't exactly do what Raven did and drink from a Divine phoenix, although that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I wonder what Raven's blood would taste like. She is the first of her kind, so it would be very powerful. I would only need a drop. Ohh, I can't wait for her to wake up. Right, back to flame magic.

From my memories of the Heavenly Library, you can create your own flame; but it must be done before you master it or you lose the potential of what could have been. I conjured up a ball of fire in my palm, just a boring flame. However, if I condense it and force some oxygen and hydrogen out of my blood it should create a more volatile flame. As I was thinking that my magic seemed to be going with my thoughts, the flame condensed and I felt a small pinch in my hand as some blood was extracted. When my blood touched the flame it turned blue which was cool. It was getting increasingly harder to control though. I needed a bonding agent to keep it under control or I'll be using my Rebirth Pearl sooner than expected.

Holy magic binds things together right? With my other hand, I encased the flame in a holy dome. Without my control, the holy magic started to stream into the flame. The flame started to calm down but it had gotten much stronger. Instead of the raging blue flame, I once held. Now I had a violet flame with specs of red sparking out once in a while.

"Alex! What the fuck is with this name. It's my flame, shouldn't I decide what it's called?!" He didn't answer but I could tell he was grinning. Fuck it, let's just move on with my holy magic. Instead of using the Grimoire, I summoned a bubble of holy magic as I did for my flame. Deciding to try the same method as I did with the blood I formed a dense ball of pulsing holy magic. I then pushed my blood into it. I should have seen this coming, the main use of holy magic is to heal and purify. So when I cut myself to let some blood out, the holy magic entered the cut. However, because I had the intention of fusing the two substances at the time the holy magic tried to fuse with every blood cell in my body. I may be immune to the holy element but there is only so far that immunity reaches. The ball of magic had entered my body.

A vampire's body is not supposed to contain any holy magic, attacks from holy magic don't affect me, but it is inside my very being. The curse of holy magic was that my body was slowly turning to ash and yet the purpose of holy magic is to heal. I dropped to the forest floor as my body tore itself apart and then regrew itself, cell by bloody cell, atom by atom. For days I lay on the forest floor. Alex didn't even show the damage I was taking because it was healed in an instant, but I felt excruciating pain every single second I lay there.

I think a week must have gone by before a blue window appeared before my eyes.

I didn't even care that I was a new race, I'm just glad the pain stopped. Slowly I stood up only to fall on my face. There was something heavy weighing me down, hesitantly I looked over my shoulder. There were five pairs of white and red wings fused to my back. Fuck, being a vampire was easy, I didn't have to hide shit. How the flying fuck am I going to hide these?!
