Ren carefully dragged another villager into the small hole they had created and carefully laid him down to two others, each of them had a sleeping seal stuck in each of their foreheads which was responsible for their soundless sleep.

Ren walked back to their vantage point and asked, "How long do you think before our backups arrive?"

"Should be here today or tomorrow at worst, it should take someone a day to run from Konoha to here, two at most," Hayate spoke as he looked at the clearing ahead, they had taken turns watching over the road to make sure that no villager goes to the cave to get murdered.

"Alright, I'll take a little break and then we can change shifts," Ren spoke as he went back to his spot, leaned against the base of a tree, and sighed.

Taking a break was easier on him than on Hayate as he could use chakra sensing to keep watch longer. Hayate on the other hand had to keep an eye on the entrance of the cave to make sure nothing had changed and also on the road to make sure that no villager was going to the cave from a different area.

Ren was taking a nap when he felt a sudden sense that someone was watching him, he woke up and jumped, landing on a tree and he focused his chakra sensing to make sure that no one was around when he sensed 3 foreign chakra signatures.

One of them was also holding his hands in a ram seal making Ren let go of the seal, he unsheathed his sword before he dashed away from the cave.

'We are too close to the cave and the beaten path, anyone could come and our whole plan would bust down. The sensor has the same chakra reserves as Hayate sensei while the two others look like they are genins, I could get away with running at them and taking their attention away.'

They were around 200m away from his location and his dash attracted their attention, though he was pretty sure the blond was able to sense him and sensei, 2 of them split and chased after Ren. Ren ran in the direction where he would ultimately meet up with Hayate.

The three parties arrived at the same location. The Kumo shinobi paused and didn't initiate the attack. This gave Ren time to look at the orange names floating above their heads.

[Karui Lv - 21]

'Why orange, are they not our enemies...One of them is a genin and the other is probably a Jonin going by her chakra reserves...'

"The blond with the huge rack is a Jonin, the flat redhead is a genin..." Ren spoke loud enough for everyone to hear, Ren saw the redhead's face turning red at the insult and she took a step forward but the blond flickered in front of her.

'The Blond will be trouble, she is the cautious thinker type. She won't reveal any flaws like Zabuza so unless sensei is able to overpower her, the fight would become difficult. Their third member took the bait and went to secure the villagers that we have captured...' Ren analyzed and then waited for Hayate sensei's signal.

"Why aren't you doing your mission to eradicate the bandits, why are you obstructing the mission and kidnapping more villagers." The blond named Samui spoke as she readied her sword, Ren sensed her gauging him and sensei again as the back of his head tingled again.

'So that's how other sensors would feel if I would actively sense them.' Ren thought as he waited patiently, they had the advantage right now and if the blond decided to fight he would easily be able to capture the redhead and bring the fight to an end.

Hayate likely came to the same conclusion as he dashed at Samui, both of them clashed and slowly moved away leaving the redhead to charge at Ren.

'This will be interesting... {Observe}'

Ren blocked her downward slash with ease and watched as her eyes widened at the fact that he wasn't imbalanced from the swing. As she started to back away Ren trusted his sword straight at her chest which she parried or at least tried to but her strength wasn't enough to completely deflect the blow.

~Rip~

"Kyaa!!!" Karui shrieked as Ren's sword went through the uppermost part of her right shoulder blade. Seeing that she was about to use her left hand to punch Ren simply ripped his sword out making her lose whatever balance she had left.

Her shriek caused Hayate and Samui to rush over so Ren flickered behind Karui and grabbed her hair to make her look at the two approaching figures. He flicked his bloodstained sword and placed its sharp edge just centimeters away from Karui's neck and everything stilled.

Samui looked at the black-haired kid who looked like he was around Karui and Omoi's age, she was expecting him to be genin level going by his age and looks with abnormally large chakra reserves. But now that she was considering the fact that he had the chakra reserves of a chunin and that it took him just a couple of seconds to dismantle Karui, it meant that his chakra reserves were not abnormal.

'Dammit, no point in using Plan B, we won't benefit from spoiling Konoha's reputation if it would come at Karui's expense.' Samui looked at Karui as she whimpered in pain and made some hand signs with her left hand.

"Drop it..." Hayate replied in a stern voice.

"Alright calm down, we can work through this..." Samui spoke both to Ren and Hayate as their third member Omoi walked out of the tree lines, he had his hands up and his sword was still in its sheath.

"Holster your weapon I won't come close, let us slowly walk away and talk," Hayate spoke as he stared at the blond kunoichi, he was pretty sure that Ren would be able to handle himself and if he took the only Jonin from Kumo a little further away then Ren could react if something ever does go wrong.

"Cool..." Samui spoke as she slowly walked a couple of steps at a time, her attention was split between Ren and Hayate.

Ren stared at the exceeding amount of blood that was coming from, he stared at her orange name and then assessed Karui's injury so he whispered, "I going to let go of your hair, make sure you keep your head upright."

'Mystical Palm Techinuqe'

After speaking he removed his sword from her neck threw his sword up in the air and went through a couple of hand seals before grabbing the sword again and placing it back on her neck. It happened too quickly for anyone to do anything about it and Ren pressed his left hand onto Karui's right shoulder.

"~Gahh~" Karui grunted as Samui stopped and stared at the green glow covering Karui's shoulder.

'What's he doing, that looks like medical ninjutsu...' Samui turned back and was about to walk closer when Ren spoke, "Relax, I'm just stopping her bleeding by forcing her blood to clot, It was a clean cut so she'll be fine. I'm just making sure she won't bleed out and we'll lose our leverage though her muscles are torn which I can not repair..."

'Should I signal Darui-san to make a move, if he messes with Karui's internal body structure then it could be the end of her career.' Samui thought and as she was about to engage Hayate in combat once again she sensed 4 more people entering her sensing range.

'4 more people means one more team, and those chakra reserves are almost equal to Darui-san's...'

Ren also lifted his head and looked towards the treeline as he sensed another 4 people entering his sensing range, he immediately dropped the mystical palm technique and got ready to fight but the blue boxes floating above Kakashi's head made him sigh out in relief.

'Alright we have the numerical advanta-' Ren thought but he froze as he sensed another shinobi suddenly flickered into his range, his grip on his katana tightened and started molding wind chakra but the white-haired man ignored him and Karui as he flickered into the field and appeared in front of Kakashi.

Sasuke immediately backed away, his perception slowed down as he started channeling chakra through his eyes yet he still was unable to perfectly see through the white-haired Kumo shinobi's movements.

"Darui of the Black Lightning..." Kakashi spoke as he used his left hand to uplift his headband.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan..." Darui replied he avoided Kakashi's eyes and looked sideways at Karui's pitiful appearance.
