His phone vibrated, and at the same time, he felt an influx of knowledge on how to use the skill and the ability. He didn't feel much discomfort, and it only lasted for a second before everything returned to normal. He felt a warm current brushing through his body, and his injuries started to itch slightly. It felt a little unpleasant, but he knew that it was just the skill that was helping him, so he tried to ignore it as best as he could.

'These Strengthening Pills seem pretty good; they will help me much in combination with the Health Revitalizer Pill. It seems like the overview of the Pill is actually something like a guideline for the recipe of the pill,' he realized.

I will need to test the ingredients and try to make the pill, but that will have to wait until I have a place where I can try that.

Lucien looked at his phone and saw two messages from his bank.

Only after he saw the messages did it finally dawn on him that he had actually received so much money from the system, which made him reevaluate his ability. It was actually much more powerful than he had realized. Even though it depended on luck, it was really good since he was actually kind of lucky, as evidenced by his luck stat. He remembered that he had seen something like System level and experience. 'What does that mean?'

As he looked at his phone again, he saw that it was already midnight, so he went and took a quick shower before sitting on his bed again. In his hand, he held one Health Revitalizer Pill and one Strengthening Pill. As he looked at them, he actually felt his heartbeat increase, not because he was nervous, but because he was excited.

He took both Pills and soon felt a warm current rush through his body. It wasn't like the time when he activated his healing skill; this time, he only felt the warm current for a second before it went away. He did feel that something inside of him was changing, but it wasn't like he suddenly felt super strong. He only felt a slight increase in his strength, which was probably supposed to be so, since the system said that the pills would revitalize and strengthen him over the course of a week so that his body wouldn't be overwhelmed by the changes that the pills caused.

He yawned and lay down on his bed. 'I may now have a powerful system, but I still have my final exams this week. I will need to think of how to write the exams without being found by my bullies. I still need to rely on my final results to find a job at a good company for now. Even if I have this system, it still can't protect me from the families behind my bullies. I will need some time to rise above them and must stay patient. My time will come, just not now.'

He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

6 am in the morning

  Lucien opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling before thinking about what happened last night. It was actually so surreal that if he wouldn't see the system panel before his eyes, he wouldn't have believed that this actually happened.

He thought that the missions would be crazier, but it seemed like they were actually pretty easy. However, he soon noticed that the experience rewards were also correspondingly low. With the 5000 Exp that he needed, he would actually need 250 days just to get to level 2 of the system.

Eventually, he thought that it wasn't that long. He moved into the kitchen to look into his fridge, but as he opened it, he saw that he actually only had leftovers from yesterday. So he decided to go to a nearby supermarket to buy some stuff to cook himself something to eat.

He brought back a bag full of rice, eggs, vegetables, meat, sausages, and some spices and sauces. He looked at his old kitchen and sighed; he actually had the money to move with the money that he had, but he decided against it. He would move once he was done with school and would then search for a better place. For now, this apartment was still enough.

He took a pan and made some kimchi fried rice with the kimchi that he had. He also cooked some sausages and stir-fried some vegetables. As he sat before the steaming hot dishes, his mouth watered, and he almost began to drool from the smell. It had actually been a pretty long time since he had such a sumptuous meal. Most times he only had some porridge or rice with eggs. So, this was actually like a feast for him.

As he finished his meal, he went back to his living room and took his notes before leaving his apartment to walk to his university.

When he arrived at his university, he sat down in his classroom and looked at his notes for the last time. The classroom slowly filled with students; he got ignored by most, but some looked at him because of his injuries, even though you could actually only see the injuries on his face.

The classroom got quiet as soon as the teacher got in, most looked nervous and scared. The teacher called for some students to distribute the exam, and then when everyone had a paper in front of them, the exam finally started. Today was the chemistry exam, and later, the biological lab practical exam.

He looked at the paper and found that it was pretty easy, so he went through the paper at lightning speed and finished the exam long before his time was up. Lucien left the classroom, and some students who didn't have it this easy, who were actually really struggling, looked at him with jealousy and anger.

As it was still early, and his practical exam wouldn't start for quite some time, he decided to go to the university library. He skimmed through some fantasy books to relieve his boredom and then went to his practical exam.

The practical exam went similarly well, but he still wasn't as good as he was theoretically. After the exam was over, he went straight home. It was afternoon when he came home, and he then did the fitness challenge. The only thing that was relatively easy was the plank, but he was still really tired after the workout.

He made himself something to eat and looked at his mission tab after finishing.
