45 [Sakura vs Shikamaru!]
[Sakura vs Shikamaru!]
Seeing Shikamaru's nonchalant attituded might have rubbed her the wrong way because she started doing hand seals for bunshin no jutsu…
'Bunshin no jutsu'
She produced 2 clones and so now three Sakura's were running towards Shikamaru in a zig-zag manner overlapping each other's run in order to cover each other's tracks...
'Well, that's one way to start a chunin exams fight… by using an academy jutsu...and looks like Shika figured the real one out...'
Rather than fighting though, Shikamaru darted backward and just in time to avoid a forward dash made by Sakura by stimulating her leg muscles with chakra and at the same instant pushing forwards….
'Okay, so she isn't complete amateur at fighting… that was some precise chakra control...though to be fair she has very little chakra...Hmm, Shika's plotting...'
Shikamaru just kept on retreating as Sakura tried, again and again, to catch him with her dashes… She tried using shurikens and kunai in conjugation with the basic academy three but Shikamaru did not seem to mind just running around and getting out of the way…
'Ummm it's getting almost impossible to help you here Shika!!...finally'
Shikamaru did a hand seal and his shadow started wriggling and then moving towards Sakura, she started dodging it before Shikamaru's shadow finally reached its limit and returned back to him… Sakura once again started attacking but this time keeping her distance suddenly realizing what Shikamaru's shadow can do…
The fight became a little boring after that…
'What happened Shika! Was that part of your plan?...'
Continuing the rhythm of the fight he finally pulled out two shurikens and threw them at Sakura…
'Why do I sense a third...oh! Now I get it...'
The third shuriken that was hidden behind the two shurikens and was controlled by a wire… Sakura managed to dodge all three of them and as she was about to say something when the third shuriken flew behind her and accurately hit one of the lights…
As she was startled by the lights and looked behind Shikamaru's shadow caught up to her…
"But how! Your shadow should not be able to reach me..." Sakura was puzzled at first but then she realized the problem was the light behind her… Since the light behind her went off it created an imbalance of lightning in the hall… the light behind Shikamaru made his shadow even longer, thus enabling him to catch her off guard…
"Man! What a drag! Did you have to keep moving this much! I had to work so much in order to get you into this position..." he put his hand in the shuriken pouch and one by one started emptying it…
'Wow! I so don't wanna be your opponent Shika! And because of Sakura using a lot more shuriken than you did...her pouch will be empty before yours...'
"I forfeit!" Sakura admitted defeat before they could reach the conclusion of the shuriken pulling race…
"Hot damn! Good work Shikamaru!!" Ino shouted from beside my side…
'You change sides pretty quickly Ino...'
Both Shikamaru and Sakura collect their discarded weapons and come up to us… Naruto tried to console Sakura that everything was fine and Ino went to congratulate Shikamaru…
'Hmm...they both weren't bad, at least they didn't make the leaf feel embarrassed in front of those Suna-nin's… Shikamaru though, his situational awareness and tactics were on point. Thinking back on the message that we had after the second test, both Shikamaru and Sakura are 'Heaven', Sakura just pales in comparison to Shikamaru...'
I look at Ino cheering for Shikamaru, 'I wonder how you'll do Ino-chan, let's see how much you have improved since we last fought...'

Everyone quietened down and their attention was now fixed once again upon the screen… It continued to go through the names on by one before stopping at…
[TENTEN VS TEMARI]
'Time to collect info then...both of them seem fairly experienced, they seem like real kunoichi… yeah I just bashed Sakura and Ino-chan, my bad!'
The fight was not at all entertaining from Konoha's perspective as any weapon tenten used were blocked by the swing of Temari's fan… 'That is probably the worst matchup that could have happened for tenten… her taijutsu and speed are impressive, but she is a long-range fighter and just happen to run across her natural deterrent...'
What happened after that was just a beatdown as one after the other every technique in tenten's arsenal was brushed aside by Temari…
"Winner Temari of the Sand" Hayate sensei quickly announced Temari's victory after she stopped Tenten's 'Twin rising Dragons'.
After that I notice Temari was about to bash Tenten away and I couldn't take it anymore, "Don't do it!" there was a little warning in my tone and our eyes met before she smashed Tenten aside with her fan, I know Lee moved to catch her so I just glared at Temari who had a smirk on her face…
"Nice catch!" She turned her attention to lee and they proceed to have a verbal spar before she got on Lee's nerves and he decided to attack her…
'That idiot is gonna get himself disqualified… but that Sand chick also needs to learn her place...'
I used swift release for the first time in an actual battle situation and carefully stimulated my muscles with swift release chakra…
To most of the people present I simply vanished and appeared in between Lee and Temari, I stopped Lee's kick with my left hand and in my right hand I had my sword out, which was currently humming with wind-natured chakra, placed at her neck…
'Damn I almost overshot...How much weight is lee packing in his legs though, that kick was heavy as fuck...'
Seeing my glare she flinched, and my sword nicked her neck a little as blood started pouring out slowly…
"I don't like repeating myself, but I'll do it one last time for your pretty little head to think about it….DON'T TREAT MY VILLAGE LIKE YOUR BACKYARD… You know what chakra is coating my blade don't you… you act so mighty after only stepping on the path of wind manipulation… If this is what your pathetic little village can produce then I fear it won't be one among the five much longer… now go back and pray that one of your friends don't draw me or they will lose their head before they can utter out the words 'I Forfeit'..." I take my blade back and notice that the tension present in the air is very thick after my current actions… the Suna jounin was almost ready to attack and the only thing that stopped him from acting before was my sword…
"Come on Lee!"
I went to the body of tenten and picked her up...As I was carrying her green chakra lit my hands and I started surveying her Injuries and healing the few I could at the moment…
