[Prelude to the war! Part-1]

"...so I think he'll be back soon, we'll need his expertise during the upcoming war, at least the Ninja higherups need to know and clear him for action..." I was reporting back to Tsunade about my talk with Itachi as Sasuke fidgeted nearby…

"Yes, he will probably meet with you as soon as he gets back so make sure he reports to me as soon as possible, there is another thing though, we need to do something about Temari..." Tsunade-sama had an impassive face as she was seemingly testing my response…

'What the… she doesn't think I like her or something right?'

"Itachi said that the war is only weeks away at most, there is no need to keep up the facade any longer, I'll go home and capture her before transferring her to T&I, this may give Suna a valid reason to start a war but this is going to happen anyway..."

She assessed me for a second before saying, "Do you need any help capturing her?"

I gave her the deadest look I could before saying, "No Hokage-sama"

"Send her straight to Inoichi in the T&I, I wanna know if she was brave enough or just plain stupid for entering an enemy village..." she waved me away and I shared a nod with Sasuke and Kakashi before using shunshin

I arrive at the entrance to the Konoha shinobi apartments and carefully made my way back to my house…

'Hmm, let's see, no one is around, what is she doing anyway...'

Temari was wearing a short Kimono that showed an ample amount of cleavage and her toned legs, she was cooking dinner like she always does, not that I have ever eaten with her but there is always a serving waiting for me in the fridge…

'I guess her clothes make sense now that her mission is revealed… she was a decent eye candy at least.'

I mourned the loss of some visual stimulation as she went about her cooking, her emotions were in a different state though, I could feel her distress and fear as she absently swirled the curry.

'How is she getting instructions though? There is an ANBU guard...' I scanned the ANBU guard and he checked out with who should be at the guard at the moment. I remember the Suna council asked us two to be given the same accommodation so that we can at least 'get to know' each other…

'Why did Suna opt for such a strategy straight after the death of their Kazekage though, this risks them too much, why would they try it?'

I shook my head out of my thoughts and let swift release chakra flow through my body…

'Doesn't matter Inoichi-san will take care of it anyway...'

I shunshin behind her and chopped at her neck hard enough to press some pressure points, she crumbled and I held her before placing her on the couch…

'Well, I don't really need to take it this far but...'

'Fuin: Chakra seal'

'Fuin: Deep sleep seal'

'This should do it, I need to search her belongings after this too...'

I used shunshin to appear at the T&I's rooftop and used the ANBU's entrance to enter the building. The building was called the Intelligence department administrative office but everyone knows that's a front.

'They just don't know how big a front...'

I chuckle inside as I swiftly made my way past some ANBU's to the processing area where an ANBU was standing.

"Weasel? Did you kidnap someone?" My mask was both famous and infamous in the department and it took me a while to figure out why…

"General processing or special?" his tone was light as we have worked past during some missions but my work alone during hunts is greatly respected in the department…

"Inoichi" My words froze even him as he carefully stared at the prisoner and then nodded and asked, "Processing?" there was uncertainty in his voice as he knows the matter was high profile.

'Well, I guess I should just hand him over to Inoichi-sama'

I waved the question as he said, "Inoichi-sama is in his office..."

I jogged lightly to the office as I notice that most of the rooms were sealed off from my senses.

'Hmm the security is rather tight it seems, there are quite a lot of interrogations going on...'

The rooms were mostly unused so the seals were only used when Interrogations were taking place, and looking at the number of rooms currently in use it seems that the number of prisoners was rather high… I arrive at one of the last two offices present in the upper wings and knocked at the door, the privacy seals of the room were activated and it took a moment for them to go down as the door opened and I could sense 2 people inside…

"Good morning, Inoichi-sama, Ibiki-san..."

They stared at me for a second before staring at Temari on my shoulders before Inoichi-sama groaned, he gestured to enter and Ibiki-san closed the door and the privacy seals went up…

"Tobi-san, be a dear and tell me that, that is not Temari of the sand..."

I scratched the back of my hand as he shared a look with Ibiki-san before standing up and saying, "Did Tsunade-sama have any instructions?" he started to scramble for some forms and filling them as I said, "Her only instructions were to take her to you and to figure out if she was brave or stupid to enter Konoha with the plots..."

He gave me a look as he said, "Are you okay?"

'Huh! What kind of question is that...'

I tilted my head slightly to indicate my confusion so he shook his head and said, "Leave it, come on, let's see what your girlfriend was hiding..."

I wanted to protest but kept quiet and followed him but he stopped at the door and said, "My daughter has been waiting for a long time Tobi-san, I hope you don't want me searching your head for answers that she needs, it has been a little temptation of mine for the past year..."

'...'

He opened the door and left as Ibiki-san patted my back with sympathy before following him....
