[Academy days! Part-2]

"...and then we had a taijutsu spar in which sensei kicked my ass..." I was telling mom what happened today at the academy.

'She clearly had some unresolved dreams regarding a shinobi lifestyle...'

"Language!" She chided out of habit at my use of a 'bad word'.

I roll my eyes and reply, "I am 8 years old mom, I am going to be a ninja, stop babying me..."

"You may be going to the academy but until you become a registered shinobi and are living under my roof you need to follow some rules...and that includes cleaning the dishes after dinner is done."

I screamed obscenities at the system while cleaning the dishes and ignoring the sound of a successfully completed quest and that measly reward, I walked up to my room after saying good night.

Now I didn't realize it until I was 7 and was in a rebellious phase that even if I don't sleep, I still don't feel tired the next day. But as I had nothing to do before, yesterday I slept purely out of habit, now I can practice my chakra control during night time.

'So, I need 1CP/s to hold a leaf in its place, my chakra control is approx 37% so we will make it 3CP/s. I regenerate 1CP/s so I can stick a leaf on my forehead for 40 seconds then take a break for 2 mins while doing katas for the Leaf Tiger Style.'

Sticking with the plan, I alternated with sitting still and concentrating on the leaf to practicing taijutsu.

'So 2 mins of regeneration and 40 seconds +20 seconds of leaf sticking, and the time taken to change activities leaves us with 20 intervals of 3 in an hour. Now, during 40 seconds of leaf sticking I gain 4% proficiency and in 2 minutes I practice the katas on an average of 2 times, so that amounts to a 0.2% proficiency increase in taijutsu per 3 mins. In an hour that is an 80% increase in proficiency in leaf sticking and 4% in taijutsu.'

I trained like this for 3 hours then took a break for an hour then trained for 4 more hours before it was time for me to 'wake up'.

'The grind sure was boring but looking at my increasing proficiency and skill level-ups it is worth it...'
