Luck

Meanwhile, Lilia in a desperate attempt tried to sneak her way out of her daily lessons with the princess and strolled around the palace looking for the crown prince. Clouie was informed that Lilia arrived in the palace for some time now, however, she did not attend their daily lessons so she grew worried. This lead to the mad hunt for Lilia.

Lilia went to the maid's quarter and pulled off her dress. She got one of the maids' clothes hanging on the side, immediately trying her best to wear it. She knew her black hair was a big red light to anyone who saw it so she tied a scarf around her head completely covering it. She planned to act as a cleaning lady or something.

When she got out of the room, system 709 woke up in her head saying,

"Congratulation, my dear host, you have successfully unlocked the points feature"

It attempted to voice out its enthusiasm but it really turned out just as flat as how it would normally converse to her.

"Huh, what points?"

"You have successfully stolen that cloth you are wearing so you have gained 200 points. That is, any action related to your main mission's text will be considered a side quest which will give you points. Points can be used to purchase items from the shop and give you abilities you wouldn't normally be able to do"

It continued as it flashed her the list of items she can purchase with her points.

"What is this, a notebook that writes by itself, a telescope, wings that can make my fly…"

"Is there an item that can help me make the crown prince and Alice meet?"

She hopefully asked her system.

"Your request is too general, loading cannot be completed. Any other request?"

While she was talking with her system, a servant passed by and she immediately started cleaning and scrubbing the floor. She was about to ask the system if there was an item that could tell her the location of the crown prince when a system prompt appeared congratulating her that she had successfully completed her thirty days mission and she was allowed to continue living in the novel's world. She read it again and again but the system message didn't change. She then became dumbfounded. Even though she was confused, she still let out a sigh of relief.

Her system unenthusiastically congratulated her again and said,

"I can't believe your luck, even though you haven't done anything substantially useful, the quest I set you out to do was completed."

Going back to thinking clearly she asked 709 how her mission was completed. After all, she knew she did not really do anything. 709 unenthusiastically replied,

"Would you like to take a peek at the scene of their meeting, that would be 150 points deducted? Are you willing?"

Lilia thought about it and she thought that as long as Charles and Alice meet that would be good enough. She will just be wasting her points if she uses it to know how they met so she told 709 that she will just use her points for other useful things.

Clouie, on the other hand, used her points to locate Lilia. Oh, the joy of being rich. Their point's difference is like heaven and earth. To her surprise, she found Lilia in servant's clothes.

"What are you doing, Lilia? Why are you dressed like that?"

Clouie exasperatingly admonished Lilia for her behavior. She told her that if she wanted to play hide and seek and ditch their class, she could have at least informed her. Lilia felt guilty and apologized to Clouie, which was forgiven almost immediately. Thus, the day ended with both Kiel and Clouie happily thinking that they can continue on with their lives in the novel.
