19 Chapter19 : To the testing Ground

Lukas scanned the posted schedule, noting the various classes and courses available.

Basically, there are more than two hundred courses available. The sheer number shocked him once again. There were courses like Swordsmanship, Aura training, Mana control, Strategies, Alchemists, etc.

Including many weapon mastery courses, as well as professions like warden, Squads, Multi caster, and many courses about the basic elements for newbies all the way to mastery.

The crowd was increasing as everyone was interested in the courses. Lukas stepped aside and stood at the side, putting his back against the wall.

Waiting for someone.

Lukas scanned the crowd, keeping an eye out. Soon, a flash of pink caught his eye - long hair the color of cotton candy reaching her waist. As the crowd shifted, he caught sight of her face, pale pink eyes bright with curiosity. Their eyes met for a second.

Ama immediately headed toward him, pulling another girl with him. Lukas looked at the other girl. The second girl had long, flowing green hair tied into a neat ponytail, glasses perched on her nose, and a subtle mole beneath her mouth. A little bit taller than Ama.

Lukas nodded a greeting as Ama and her friend approached.

"So you were here, I was looking for you," Ama spoke and lifted her hand along with her friend.

"This is Tia," she introduced to Lukas and turned to Tia. "And this is Lukas."

"Oh, nice to meet you," Lukas spoke with a friendly nod.

She was quite nervous seeing him, but seeing him face to face, she was kind of relieved. "Y-yes, nice to meet you too."

"Good," she paused, then continued, "Now that the two of you have known each other, let's go to the testing zone that the professor mentioned earlier."

Ama then directly grabbed both Lukas and Tia's hands and pulled them toward the testing zone.

Tia could only sigh and let Ama pull her with Lukas. She also looked at Lukas with her lowered eyes, signaling that she was sorry about her friend.

Lukas also smiled helplessly after being forcefully pulled by Ama and, with his eyes, looked at Tia's eyes while nodding a bit, signifying that he understood.

Soon, passing the watchful gazes of others, which Ama herself attracted with how loud she was in the last part.

They arrived in front of a huge dome-shaped building. Its surface seemed to shimmer with a faint glow. The trio entered the building through the huge gate.

As they stopped to see the interior of the testing ground, an eagle statue beside the gate began to speak up, "New students, please go to the second floor as the testing ground is located there," said the eagle statue with glowing red eyes.

Ama and Ria flinched for a moment and directly looked toward the eagle statue. They were surprised to see that the eagle statue was talking to them.

"Is this small eagle statue a golem? I never thought that a golem could exist in this size," thought Lukas in his mind after seeing the small eagle statue.

Ama, on the other hand, directly spoke out loud, "Wow, I never thought that this small statue is a golem. This place is really better than I thought." She also pushed Lukas to the side to get a better look at the small eagle statue.

Lukas turned around, sensing some movement. He could see that they were somewhat blocking the path.

Lukas stepped aside. Ria also realized and pulled her friend away forcefully.

"Hey, I was still looking," Ama retorted.

"Let's head towards the second floor," Ria spoke, giving her a gentle punch on her head.

"Ouch, fine, fine, let's go," Ama spoke, pouting and rubbing her poor, beautiful head.

Lukas chuckled. Ama felt betrayed seeing him laughing. Pouting and crossing her hands, she started heading towards the stairs that lead to the second floor.

Lukas followed after. Sighing and gazing behind for a moment, she also soon followed after them. As she was walking behind, she couldn't help but glance at Lukas.

She was kind of unwilling, hearing that Ama's friend is a high noble. She was reluctant to meet someone like a noble, as she herself wasn't from any prominent background.

As they reached the second floor, they found themselves in a vast chamber surrounded by dozens of blue portal gates embedded in the walls. The ambient hum of magical energy filled the air. People were entering and exiting and taking the paper which prints out from the frog statue, whose mouth was wide enough for a paper to enter and exit.

"I think we have to enter one of the gates," Lukas muttered, heading towards one of the gates.
