13 chap 13: Arena

"He should get going, right? Alone. Well, that's what he thought. Reality is different though.

"Hey, Lukas. Let's visit the arena before heading back. We still have a couple of hours before sunset," Ama said, grabbing his hand and pulling him aside.

Lukas also decided to go there. Unfortunately, while they were in line, he accidentally mentioned that he might visit the arena.

And now, here he is, being pulled by her. His plan of being alone is ruined.

"Hey, hey, walk faster. Let's go and see how the seniors fight," Ama said, pulling him along.

They have already attracted enough attention. Some seniors even laughed at them. "Let's go, let's go," Lukas said impatiently. He couldn't bear the strange looks he was receiving. What if Levia saw him?

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the large arena on the opposite side of the credit center. The arena stood tall against the setting sun, its pillars reaching towards the sky and piercing through the clouds.

Lukas knew exactly what those things were. They collected energy directly from sunlight and moonlight, serving as one of the energy core of the academy.

"There's the entrance, let's go," Ama pointed to the left side where people were entering.

Giving one last glance at the huge pillars, he started walking with Ama pulling him, still tightly gripping his hand.

"Meh, wouldn't a girl be more reserved?" That thought crossed his mind multiple times.

As they approached the entrance of the arena, Lukas's worst nightmare became a reality. He abruptly stopped in his tracks.

Ama frowned, noticing his hesitation, and looked at his face as if it was saying, "I messed up."

Confused, she followed his gaze and turned her attention towards the arena.

Two figures were emerging from the arena. One had extremely pale skin, long black hair, and sharp red eyes. The other was a girl with light blue hair, dressed in a maid costume.

They glanced at Ama and Lukas, snorted with disdain, Spacialy at him and swiftly walked past them, disappearing into the crowd.

Lukas froze for moment before sighing and started walking forward.

Ama was somewhat confused. And was trying her best to understand some of it. As Lukas walk forward and she finally realized what's the reason.

They were grabbing hand in public!. She right away let his hand ago. " I'm sorry, I-I... Come let's go fix the misunderstanding!" She quickly spoke and was about to turn around and ran towards them.

She wasn't sure, What's the situation beside Lukas and that woman. But one thing was sure they misunderstood!

As she was about to take another step to ran after them. A frim hand grabbed her.

" Hey, Stop making weird stories in that head of yours. Let's go see the arena" Lukas spoke.

Ama turned around her head and looked down, " B-But, I think they misunderstood some..

Her words were cut short.

"I don't even them to begin with. Come let's go. The situation was complected. Let's see what's the thril about the arena first shall we" Lukas spoke with a smile.

Ama hearing this, Right away lifted up her head and looked at the smiling face. A blush crept on her face before disappearing. Bringing back her cheerful personality.

" Yes, yes. Let's go,Let's see how mages fight" before pulling him into the arena taking the lead.

Lukas felt reassured seeing everything back to normal. Giving the back a glance.

" If we aren't ment to be together, So be it. I have to many responsibilities to begin with. My goal should be getting stronger not being swayed by feelings " He thought making his resolve stronger.

The arena sprawled like a vast ring ascending towards the sky with tiers of seats. The setting sun cast long shadows across the fields where mages clashed with each other's.Each field had intricate magical boundaries to contain the intense energy.

Spector's cheered and looked at the blue screen Infront of them showing the battle between the ones they wanted to.

Lukas and Ama found a spot in the stands, surrounded by fellow onlookers eagerly observing the battles. The blue screen popped up from the seat's.

Showcasing the twelve battles of twelve battle grounds. All of the screens started playing the battle at the same time. And observing one of the person who was picking the battle. He get the gist of it how to use it.

Tapping on the blue screen makes the choosen battle bigger. Seeing so many variations of elements of clashing with each other. He was excited. As he was choosing.

Ama couldn't contain her enthusiasm. "Look, Lukas! Did you see how he controlled the fire? It's incredible!"

Lukas looked at screen. A fight was showing was showing between two girls. Spells clashing with each other.

" Fire vs Sand " Lukas muttered looking at the rapid spells the girl was casting melting the sand.

And then from the corner of his eyes he noticed another fight!

Lila 3rd year students and another named Kaheed another third year student.

Seeing the elements they were using to fight. Lukas right away located the actual location the fight was taking place. It was at corner of the arena. On the left side of them.

He was right away interested in the fight. As one of the student was using the trait he has! " Telekinesis with Matal element. A deadly combination.It was the girl with thick black hair.

And her opponent was, Lightning and ice user. It was the arrogant looking handsome dude with deep white hair named Kaheed.

Looking how the ground was. He realized the battle just started.

Lila was holding a strange looking cross bows on her hand and a weird looking sheild on her hand.

From the middle of the sheild a small green orb was peaking out from the engraved face of the lion.

On the other hand. The dude was holding a a long black saber chains warped around his hand. And for the other he was holding somekind of ball sequirly being hold by the black gloves warped around his whole hand.

Battle started rather instantly. Lilas sheild glowed for a second, Before she mashed the sheild with great streanth.

Making the ground crumbled to pieces before using her telekinesis to shot the debris towards the target and dashed towards the enemy.

As disguise, Her body glowed for a second activating, Acceleration rushing towards her enemy. Taking the sheild in front.

Kaheed was prepare.

His black orb glowed for a moment before a magical circle blinked in front of it.increasing his speed with lightning warped around his feets he retreated a step before dashing towards her sheild with sabar covered in ice esscens.

" Clink"

Sparks flow everywhere as the sheild and the sbar clashed. Kaheed didn't waste this opportunity, He right away pointed his palm on her legs.

And instantly a ice bolt formed heading towards it's target. As if Lila sensed it already she jumped up Letting go her sheild, using the Modified spring boots Reaching above the hight of him.

Before pointing her right hand, Towards him launching Three metal arrow, Increasing the speed with telekinesis.

Kaheed, With his quick reaction uplifted his sabar before slashing at her launching a slash of energy. Destroying the arrows.

But at that very moment. Time seemed slow. He noticed the smile spreading on her face.

At that moment, Realization stuck him. As he sensed the forming spell from the floating sheild.

Before a spike formed on on the sheild. With swift mind command. Using her telekinesis.

The floating sheild lunged forward. Kaheed eyes widen. He griited his teeths. With a unstable stand he prepared himself for the impact and tried to form a sheild of ice.

But it was already too late. Ten sheild slammed on his blade.The impact sent shockwaves through the arena, catching the attention of nearby spectators.

Kaheed was sent flying. Crashing at the protective sheild of the of the feild.

He spat out mouthful of blood. Hes leg felt weak. He looked at the black haired girl gracefully landing in front of him. Pointing her cross bows towards him. Her sheild slowly floated towards her hand. Before regaining it orginal place.

He looked at his trimbling hands from the impact.

With a sigh. " I lost".

Before disappearing from the stage. Lila smiled rubbing her beautiful shield before also disappearing from the ground. Replacing another duo of students.
