"...then why did you frown remembering her?" Liz asked, confused.

"She said she loves me"

"Look Greg, I know my sister very well, to know what she can and can't do. Her ego won't allow her admit that"

"Then you better believe me"

"Then she does" she could see Greg was not comfortable and held him.

She shouldn't have held him, she shouldn't have smiled into his face, because he felt betrayed, he felt her, he wanted her. He had always loved her, infact he was there for her when she needed a lover.

He turned away from her, leaving her grip.

"Greg? What's the matter?" She approached him.

"Why did you choose Spencer?"

She was absolutely confused; "What...?"

"I've been there for you Liz, you know I loved you, why did you leave me?"

"Leave you?... Wait, what do you mean?"

"Liz I still love you" he came close and she almost stumbled.

"You have Megh now"

"Oh to hell with Megh!" He spat.

"Not my sister Greg! You don't talk about my sister that way!" She tried changing the topic.

"Tell me Liz! I knew you loved me" he continued.

"I kinda liked you but my sister was already in love with you. I didn't want to betray her" Liz confessed.

"What?" Greg was shattered.

"It's been long Greg, it was in school this happened"

"Megh doesn't love me!"

"She does or mayhap she did"

"I don't get! Why didn't you tell me?"

"There was no point. I had then falling in love with Spencer and left you for Megh"

Those words felt like gravel in Greg's heart. He was shattered and sat subconsciously on the chair behind him.

"I'm married Greg. This has to stop. My heart is for someone else. I... I understand your pain and I can stop being your friend if that's what you want" she said.

Greg took a long look at her and then saw Joshua standing at the corner. "Mum...?"

Liz and Joshua hugged tightly. He was really frightened by the storm. "It's okay baby. Everything's gonna be fine" she assured him. She had to cut the cake with Greg and put an end to this love story. She patted Joshua back to sleep and went back to Greg.

"It's okay" Greg interrupted her, knowing what she wanted to say already; "I don't want to talk about this"

"I want to" she had to.

"I don't know if I'm annoyed with you or not for not telling me your feelings and I don't want to know"

"I'm sorry Greg. You should know my sister"

Meghan was a beast and had also succeeded in ruining his love life with Liz. "I said I don't want to talk about this!"

"Do you still love me Greg?!" She continued.

He turned to her, paused in his thinking, then said with discovering eyes thus; "no...no. I love you no more. I see you as... My best friends wife" he took his glass of wine.

She wept. There was no denying the fact that those words hurt her. She immediately cleaned her tears and took her bag to leave.

"The storm is increasing and rain has come with it now" Greg said remorsefully.

"Nope. It's just a drizzle. I can manage" she peeped outside through the window.

"I don't think likely" he peeped with her.

"You never change, do you? You remember the time we cried in the rain?"she smiled now.

Why was Liz torturing me? Hasn't she done enough? Why is she making me remember the time we had fun in the rain? Ran together? Laughed? Twirled? And then shouted at each other? I won't suffer alone; "I remember very well. It was you and I, not you and the child" Liz understood him very well.

Greg decided to drive Liz home since she was determined to go home that very instant.

They both saw Spencer climbing down the staircase as they were entering the house.

"Oh Liz! I was about to go pick you up from Greg's place" he said.

"Well Greg brought us" she carried Joshua firmly.

"Oh Greg you're there. Thanks buddy, they would have been stranded. What would I do without you?" He appreciated.

"Just for nothing bro" Greg said.

"Thanks bro..."

"You can always count on me" he shook with Spencer, bade Liz and Joshua good bye and left.

"This storm is devil sent"Spencer said as they entered their warm house.
