THE food was delicious. They had finished eating and were keeping the dishes.

"So tell me about your family" Liz turned off the tap as she had finished washing.

"What do you want me to tell you again? I have told you before" he said.

"Tell me about your childhood" she picked her glass of wine she hadn't finished drinking and came closer to Spencer.

"Which of them? The bicycle day or the truck driving or the mud jerking or when I thought I'd falling in love?" He gave options playfully.

Laughing she replied; "you know the one I'd love to hear".

She dragged him to the room holding her glass of wine on one hand and the other holding his hand.

They both hopped on the bed and cuddled close.

"I met her. She was small. We were childhood friends....."

"... and later grew up to like each other?" She asked.

"We thought we had falling in love and we were both planning our future"

"Why did you think you didn't really love her?" Liz was curious keeping her glass on the bed desk.

"There's a difference between both of you" Liz fell silent and continued listening. "She betrayed me and fell in love with someone else. She was selfish, cunny and a liar, the complete opposite of you" he looked at Liz's curious eyes.

"What if... She didn't fall in love with someone else?... Would you have married her?" Liz asked.

"Remember I told you I thought I loved her? And worse of all, she fell in love with my best friend" Spencer simply answered.

Liz was lost in stare as Spencer stole a kiss.

"You promised to take me shopping today" she lingered on.

"Shopping can wait. Can't it?" He kissed her again.

"Oh, it can" she kissed him dearly in return.

Just then, they had their door bell ring. "I'll take it" she swore and left for the door.

"Greg?" She wasn't expecting him as she opened the door.

"Surprise!" He said.

"Oh, come on in" she said and continued; "wait here. I'll call him" she smiled and left saying out loud; "honey, Greg's here to see you"

They had a lively discussion. Talking about life, school, business and loved ones.

"Time is not on my side. I want to meet a business partner at the supermarket this afternoon" Greg looked at his watch.

"Oh, so coincidental. We we're on our way to go shopping. Mayhap, we could leave together if you don't mind" Liz said.

"Perfect" Greg said.

"A minute" she excused herself, calling Spencer; "don't let me beckon you".

"I thought someone agreed with me that shopping could wait?" Spencer whispered frustratingly to Liz.

"Yes, it could. But this is our friend here and it's been long we all saw each other. So why don't we join him and go shopping?"

"Or stay back and enjoy ourselves together"

"Don't be ridiculous Spencer"
