"Spencer's coming" Greg said abruptly.

"What now Greg?"

"I invited him" he folded his lips, stopping himself from laughing.

"You what? Is he present?" She said annoyed.

"No. He turned down the request" he laughed out loud.

"Greg, don't kid me like that again" she hit his chest.

"Ouch Liz. What? Are you so selfish that you don't want him to enjoy the party also?" He said laughing.

"Let me just believe you didn't ask that" she said as they drove off.

The party was fun. Though a royal party, but you couldn't tell.

Liz felt more alive and free then ever.

Greg admired her elegancy in the dance floor as she danced with people, laughing, drinking, chatting and feeling so herself. Greg smiled.

Now, it wasn't Meghan's fault why Meghan was jealous of her sister. He could see it right there, the more she kept being herself, the more she looked pretty.

It seemed she was exhausted from all the dancing as Greg watched her come over to where he sat.

"Come and join the dance!" Liz dragged him. Greg was wrong, she wasn't tired, she was calling him.

"Oh no! I'm okay" he said in her ears. For the music was so loud.

"What's the problem? Aren't you enjoying here?!" She danced as she talked.

"I am. You didn't tell me you dance so good!" He said.

She laughed to that "thank you. Oh, I saw the Margaret family. It's amazing here! Thank you Greg" she kissed him and left to the dance floor.

She kissed me? Was Liz in her right sense? Greg could still feel the brush of her lips on his. She hasn't taken any alcohol since, Greg was sure of that. He has been watching her since.

Did I just kiss Greg? Liz felt nervous as well. She wasn't thinking right, the fun had caught her. She had to go.

She signaled Greg and went to the back door.

"It's late Greg. I must go"

"Yeah, let's go"

"No no. You can stay. I'll just go back to school by myself"

"What if something bad happens to you Liz?"

"I won't let you leave the party because of me" she retorted stubbornly.

"Fair enough. I'll see you off" he smiled, concluding.

But by the time they went outside:

"It's raining Liz, let's go back inside" they were both standing at the front of the big casino watching the light drizzle of the rain.

Liz stepped into the pedestrian lane and started walking to the parking lot "you call this rain?"

"Liz!" Greg cried out.

"Come on, it's fun" Liz giggled moving on.

"See..." She said as he finally stepped into the rain.

Greg looked at his expensive wet suit. He couldn't believe Liz persuaded him into doing this.

"Let's have a race to the parking lot. The last to get their is a dick" she ran off laughing.

They ran behind each other until Liz was tired and stopped, laughing about her obvious laziness. Though Greg was breathing hard from behind "I knew you'd stop" he managed to say.

She walked to him and held him to her playfully laughing to what he said.

Greg could feel the impact of her touch on him. Damn - he loved her!

She wriggled her hair left and right in other to get it off her eyes.

Smiling, she looked up at Greg, and immediately stopped smiling. She stared back, both holding each other under the drizzle of the rain.

Goddamn him if he didn't take her there and now.

He gazed into her eyes passionately.

Liz could feel his eyes all around her. She wanted him too, that was a findy truth.

She watched as Greg drew his face close to hers, taking his eyes from her eyes to her lips.

"- stop it Greg. This can't happen" she abruptly said.

"Liz why?"

"I don't know" she loosened her grip.

"Why Liz? Is it because of Spencer?" Greg yelled.

"Stop it! Stop it Greg!" She cried out in tears.

"I know you like me Liz!" He said furiously.

"Yes but only as a friend" she said blinking her eyes from the rain.

"You kissed me in there today! Why?! Why?!"

"I'm sorry Greg"

"Oh, don't be sorry! You did it twice! At the pool and here! Today! Say you love me!" He shooked her.

She closed her ears with her hands, crying, not to hear his screams.

"SAY IT!" He yelled.

"I'm sorry, Okay? I'm sorry!" She said in tears.

"You've gotta explain your feelings Liz! You can't kiss me for nought! No, you can't!" He spat the rain which was heavily flooding his mouth.

"Stop! Yelling! At me Greg! You started this, you made me kiss you at the pool that day. You weren't my friend, you were just acting as some one who wanted what he needed out of selfishness! Don't! Blame me! For anything!" She said weeping melancholy.

She regretted kissing him, she had no idea why she even did it. She could see the confusion and rage in Greg's face.

"I'm sorry Greg" was all she could say.

Greg looked at her face and broke down by the look on her face. He had made her scared;

"I'm sorry Greg" she continued, coming closer.

Swallowing her fear, she hugged him. He held her in return saying; "I'm sorry". He had also made a mistake of betraying his promise to her and his frienship to Spencer, he tightened his grip.

They hugged in the middle of the street under the pitiless storm of the rain.
