Her watery eyes spilled over and she groaned, wiping at her tears. She sat back down and shook her head. 

"You could forgive Rhys, but not me?" Damien asked. 

"How I handled things with Rhys isn't your business and it doesn't have a place in our conversation right now. You are two different men. Maybe it was a mistake to get involved with both of you at all. At least I know that when we were together, I was willing to ignore the stares, the concerns, the everything because I was sure what I felt was worth it.
