The Beach.

After calming down a bit and letting my basic situation set in I figure it's a good time to get some kind of busy work in. I pop out of the "Farm" dunno how it can be called that until I put dirt or something in it atleast. Tch cheap god not even giving dirt.

I take a look at my surroundings. Just a regular brown sandy beach. There's stones and shells littered everywhere. What appears to be some coconut style trees in the distance those could come in handy.

But first things first. I head near some trees and find me a decent sized branch from the ground. I make sure it a bit heavy and I can grip it easy.

[Branch acquired x1]

A notification pop's up above it once I pick it up. This is exciting I can feel like I've gained some knowledge on what I can do with it. if I examine it like so.

[Branch: Wooden branch heavier than a stick. Can be used for crafting.]

Nice. I start picking up more objects and storing them in my farm. I grab everything from sand to coconuts even nearby shells. I grab wood and stones of various sizes.

After a small collecting spree I hurry into my farm. Just to see a pile of random junk in the middle. I hope that I can get some kind of storage later. I start to examine items to check for for differences.

[Rock: a stone with multiple uses. Crafting material. Can be used for basic hammer.]

[Twig: a tiny stick used to feed fires. Basic material.]

[Stick: a basic stick with multiple uses. Crafting material.]

[Brown coconut: a coconut with lots of coconut milk and a little coconut meat.]

[Green coconut: a coconut with a lot of coconut meat. Can be planted.]

[Seashell: a tiny abandoned home. Must be processed.]

[Sand: basic beach sand. Must be processed.]

[Palm fronds: leafs from a palm tree. Can be used for building.]

[Tree vine: basic item to craft rope style materials. Crafting material.]

Basically a bunch of different items pop up telling me about them. I check my crafting system and see that there are item lists. The immediate top one is a crafting bench. I need 10 branches and 4 basic bindings.

I exit out of my farm and scour the beach for everything I can find. Making sure to keep my trusty branch for protection. I haven't seen any nasties besides some large lizards on the beach but those are about iguana size. one good whack and I'd have me some meat but that can wait.

After getting a nice amount of everything I head back inside. I open up the crafting menu and select bindings from the selections. there's a flash of light and 1 of my vines disappeared and in its place was a brown roll of twine. I instantly had knowledge flood my mind. I now know how to make twine by hand. Apparently what I did is a type of auto crafting only available in the farm. Outside I have to do everything by hand.

Well that's good to know. Next I learned some items need proper tools and areas to craft them in. I finish crafting up the rest of my vines and click on the craft workbench.

The light shows up and almost half of my twine is gone and in its place is a small wooden table and stool.

I sit down on the table and start browsing the items I can make they are pretty limited. I can make a stone knife and a whetstone You need a hammer of some sort for these items I use my lucky stone. I make a stone knife to start with. It uses half of a stone and some twine for a grip. one flash of light later I've got.

[Blunt stone knife: a stone knife used for carving, cutting or skinning. Needs sharpening.]

I pick it up and look at it closely. It's just a slightly sharp stone with twine around the grip. I make a whetstone next. The light pops up and I've gotten a new flat stone I can grind things on.

[Whetstone: used to sharpen items to increase item quality.]

I use my knife on it hoping for results and I'm not disappointed I get a nice sharp edge on my stone knife easily able to cut through skin, vines, or thin branches.

I quickly use the new knife to cut off some coconut skin easily then lightly pierce the brown spot on top of the coconut. The knife easily sinks in. I take it out and drink the coconut water greedily. It's hot outside and I've been running around collecting items.

If I'm not careful I can get dehydrated from sweating in the sun nonstop. There's a basic survival rule I know. It's the rule of threes. it goes you can live 3 minutes with no air 3 days with no water and 3 weeks with no food. depending on situations that time can be cut down or increased a bit but not much. like if your walking to hot scorching desert you'd probably need a lot more water than some cool woods.

I'll need to search for fresh water at some point. I can't live off of coconut milk as it gives you the craps if you drink too much and that would also lead to us being dehydrated and sick.

looking over at my pile of sticks and stones I wonder how well I'm going to do in this survival area I don't have unlimited coconuts for food. In front of me is an ocean of monsters and behind is a forest full of meat eaters. yeesh.
